Hi, I'm not sure if theres already a thread for those hoping for a +ive October. I'm on the +ive Sept one but my fertile window for this month has just passed without being able to try (got to get blood sugars stable before we can try) so next chance to try will be towards end of September (32ish cycle), which means I won't be in a position to test til October. If theres already an October thread please point me in that direction, if not, here we go!

hi all. posted a message last week about getting a very very faint positive that i wasn't sure about. well tested again with various tests and got a bfp on clearblue but none of the others. very confused am i just testing too early for the other tests to work? af was due 6 days ago

lovelybird · 04/10/2006 18:59

Congratulations RubyRoo!!
Thanks for the website rachelrose i'll have a look. AF still a bit today so hoping for full flow tomorrow so that will be CD1.
A lovely friend at work told me she is expecting today, so pleased for her and a bit , hoping it's me in the future

Babymad4num3 · 04/10/2006 20:06

Devastated! AF come an hour ago! Off to pos November! I wish you all the luck in the world!

sideways · 04/10/2006 20:09

babymad, really sorry that af has arrived.

Flossam · 04/10/2006 20:10

hello, i think i'd like to join in too if no-one minds? first month of ttc and don't think it has worked. am overanalysing the whole thing and only different symptoms i have are a few extra spots, excess (understatement!) wind and some lower abdomen cramps like i am coming on, i used to get this when i was pregnant with ds when i over did it, but most probably all in the mind.

last time i had the metallic taste and a big aversion to coffee which i don't have now. i am due on sun/mon, did a test yesterday (i know i know) and of course it was negative! i know when af arrives i am going to be gutted, so may need some support then.

i wanted to ask if it is possible to ovulate early in a usual 28 -30 day cycle? i have signs of ovulation around day 10 usually, but af does not arrive untill at least day 28. i read somewhere that af always arrives exactly 14 days after ov?

i already have one ds aged 23 months and would love not too big an age gap! please excuse lazy typing, i have a broken hand in plaster atm so this is a one handed attempt!! good luck to everyone about to test and sorry to all those who have to wait for next month.

Babymad4num3 · 04/10/2006 20:14

sideways thanks, trying my best not to cry!

Janus · 04/10/2006 20:15

rubyroo, many congratulations, enjoy your lovely pregnancy and wishing you well.
so sorry to babymad, better luck next month I hope.
Babymonster, I've always trusted clearblue, it's the one i've used and always got the correct result. May be worth buying another pack to check and I think they sell an extra sensitive one for early on which is probably the best to go for?
Rubles, how are you doing, how many days of this cycle have you got left? Really hope AF stays away for you, I think you are getting close so very best luck and positive thoughts for you.

Babymad4num3 · 04/10/2006 20:31

What do i do, stay here or go Nov? As, i was only CD26 with the cycle just gone and that means that next AF due 30th Oct if i go 26 days again, but if i go 28 days this cycle it mean AF due 1st Nov? where do i go!?

sideways · 04/10/2006 20:34

Hi Flossam, I have pretty much a 28 day cycle and am pretty sure I ov on day 10.

I'm going to try and work it out properly this time.

Flossam · 04/10/2006 20:42

thanks sw! glad i'm not the only one. bm - why don't you stay here while it is busy then move when thing quieten down? unless you want a clean slate so to speak?

RachelRose · 04/10/2006 21:24

Hi, Stay here Babymad, and move over when a few of us are going too! It'd be mighty lonely on there for a day or two!

Welcome Flossam - Hope you do get your BFP and the excess wind has not been for nothing! It must be tricky looking after a 23mnth old when an arm in plaster!! Poor you!

Thanks for your info Rubyroo and sorry to hear you are feeling a bit sick. At least it may make you feel more pregnant. Am interested in what you say about your lack of AF. I had a stage in my late 20's where I had no AF for about 14 months. Their only explanation at the time was stress, but I didn't think I was particularly stressed. I dont think I OV'd this month and aldo have very light periods (about 2 days) so I may look into agnus castus - where did you get it from?

Hi Sideways, lovelybird and MrsMcJ!! Hope you are all well.

Nothing going on with me except for a funny sore spot up my nose, which I dont think is a sign of pregnancy in anyone's book!

nuttymum1 · 04/10/2006 22:15

evening all congrats to all who are preggers my af was due sat but no sign yet but i only syopped my pill 4 weeks ago so who knows keeping my fingers crossed thou!

endlesslove · 04/10/2006 22:31

Hi girls. Well I am CD2 today. I thought I would be CD1 today but AF came at full force yesterday - she didn't waste any time!!! Feeling a bit more positive for BFP at end of October/early November. The first day of the dread af is always the worse as it hits you so hard doesn't it.

Mrs - you are keeping me on my toes, I'm so excited for you. I hope you get the BFP!

Rubyroo - many many congrats! Have you told dp yet? How did it go?

RachelRose - ROFL re spot up your nose!!! Is it to far up to pop!

Babymad - I am in the same vote as you!!! We are cycle buddies! I am sticking to this one and going over to November! Just because I want to keep in touch with how everyone is doing here. So see you between the two!!! Are you over the af arriving yet and starting to look positive to next month? Its so heartbreaking. Am here for you though and in the same vote.

Good luck to everyone, sorry if I have not mentioned you but does not mean to say I am not thinking of you.

rubles · 04/10/2006 23:01

Babymad - sooo very sorry about AF. Keep a foot in both camps, as someone has said it'll be a bit quiet over there for the next few days.

Rachelrose - did they test your hormones when you didn't have AF for 14 months? It sounds a bit of a cop out to diagnose it as being down to stress. I'm not sure how long you have been ttc, but could you go to your doctor and ask for some further tests now to look into whether you are ovulating and if not why? It sounds curious. Also, I don't remember the details but I do remember advice here on MN to be very cautious of Agnus Castus. Look into it carefully before you start taking it, as it could mess you up more than sort you out.

Flossam - the time between ovulation and AF varies from woman to woman so you could ovulate early in a 28 day cycle, that's just what you do.

Rubyroo - I love that story about premature menopause and then conceiving two more. I just love those miracle tales. I wonder if they checked your hormones properly.

Babymad4num3 · 04/10/2006 23:33

Thanks Ladies, I'm sure I'll feel better in a few days, but i'll be in both oct and nov!

NattyandThomasandBump · 04/10/2006 23:46

babymad so sorry to hear af has come, was hopeing u would be joining me in the bfp gang! good luck for next month girl, and remember that stressing will only make it worse!!!! love u all, mrsmc i am on tender hooks! when are u testing????????

jess1996 · 05/10/2006 07:57

Good Morning. I'm now 11 days late and still no AF. I don't know whether to spend (waste!) more money on pregnancy tests, make an appointment at the doctors, or just put it down to stress (busy at work and thinking too much about TTC). I keep having pains on and off (for over a week) - a bit like weak period pains. Is this a sign of pregnancy? I really hope the test I did on Monday was a false negative, but surely this wouldn't happen when you are a week late?

Babymonster - How late are you now? Maybe you should trust the clearblue test if you've got more than one BFP. I've done 2 CB tests - one very, very faint line and one negative. I think next time I'll try a different brand, but which one? Good luck anyway.

Also good luck to everyone else still waiting to find out.

Babymad4num3 · 05/10/2006 10:02

Thanks NattyandThomasandBump, how is little man? And how are you?

NattyandThomasandBump · 05/10/2006 10:02

jess try first responce, only one to give me a bfp, others (including clear blue) were neagtive for a further 4 days.

morning all! not working till 1 today and tom is at childminders so a morning in bed is in order. fell on my arse today due to wet weather, so have been lying down all morning worrying.
will let you all know how everything is this evening, dp keeps saying its twins, cos of my already expanding waist line (despite efforts to only eat fruit)!!
its been quiet on here this morning wakey wakey guys!!!

NattyandThomasandBump · 05/10/2006 10:03

morning babymad! u still here?

rubles · 05/10/2006 10:13

Natty&T&B, I think that either everyone is getting all tense waiting for their AFs (I have noticed people often tend to clam up around that time) or they are getting on with work horror!
Have a nice morning in bed.

MrsMcJnr · 05/10/2006 10:16

Morning ladies, 10dpo (getting very close to my LP record) and no signs of AF yet, temp still high (same temp as yesterday) but the cheapy sticks say no joy. Hanging in there.

Hello Babymonster - Clearblue are one of the best I think and a line is a line keep testing but I think congratulations might be in order soon!

Hello Sideways, Janus, Nuttymum, Rubles & Lovelybird.

Hello RachelRose - be careful with the Agnus Cactus, Babymad - tell RR what you learnt.

Oh Babymad - I'm sorry sending you big hugs. Get onto your action plan now! Stay with us on here

Welcome Flossam - poor you with a sore hand! We all know how you feel! As I understand it though, no pregnancy feels the same and so you might not get the same signs - it's nature's way of keeping you in suspense! Best of luck to you and nice to have you with us. Support is what we do best!

Re ovulation, I am not sure when the earliest you can OV in a cycle is but I know that not many people actually OV on CD14, I am CD6-18 for example.

Thank you for your good vibes for me Endless am glad to hear that you are feeling positive!

Hello N&T&B - thank you for the good vibes did cheapy tests today and yest (both BFN) saving my good tests for the weekend if AF had not arrived. Trying not to get excited, she could pitch up any time! How are you feeling today?

Jess - do feel for you! How many dpo are you? I have heard about some people not getting their BFP until 21dpo!! Hope it works out soon.

Babydust to all - let's create a babyboom!

MrsMcJnr · 05/10/2006 10:18

poor you N&T&B (or double bump?!) hope everything is ok after the fall nd you are not too sore. Take good care!!
