Hi, I'm not sure if theres already a thread for those hoping for a +ive October. I'm on the +ive Sept one but my fertile window for this month has just passed without being able to try (got to get blood sugars stable before we can try) so next chance to try will be towards end of September (32ish cycle), which means I won't be in a position to test til October. If theres already an October thread please point me in that direction, if not, here we go!

mrs mc j. i think i'm going to get the same from my fil soon. he gave dh his 1970's copy of the joy of sex last weekend. we've been married 5 months. he's also 73 and a dif generation

however, the tactless comments are less than they might be as not seeing much of them at moment - mil ripped into our wedding (said she felt 'left out') so not really seeing them much lately! families!

spook · 03/10/2006 10:36

Thanks RachelRose. I've got everything thats possible to be crossed crossed!!
No Sideways-I conceived the same cycle as my Mirena came out. Which-infact a nurse friend told me was way too soon and could have had an impact on pregnancy. But no medical basis to that I don't think! Just bloody bad luck after 2 normal pregnancies.

MrsMcJnr · 03/10/2006 10:41

Oh no FOTS - PMSL at FIL giving you that book, beards and all no doubt!! MIL sounds like a pain - it is a privilege in my view for the bride to include the MIL in her choices, not a right! My MIL is the sweetest person on earth, I am truly blessed.

Hello RachelRose.

Where's Babymad? are you out there? are you ok?

endlesslove · 03/10/2006 13:24

Hello girls

Well CD35 today. Getting very annoyed as keeping thinking AF is going to arrive but she hasn't yet. Not getting cramps or pain, just a funny tugging feeling every now and again.

I'll be honest, I did a test this morning and it was a BFN. I cried. So fed up today. Do you think I should test again?

I have no other symptons of pregnancy and just wish I did.

Mrs, tell you FIL to mind his own business - goodness me! hope your ok though.

Any good vibes would be much appreciated as I do feel so low today. Sending you all tons and tons of babydust (and me!).

xx

sideways · 03/10/2006 13:26

endlesslove, sorry to hear that . How long is your cycle normally? Wait till tomorrow morning to test again, you may have a better idea if af will arrive then.

endlesslove · 03/10/2006 13:39

Sideways thanks for getting back to me so quickly.

Here is my brief history - My cycle lengths since January are as follows:

43 days
30 days
33 days
32 days
37 days
28 days
34 days
32 days
this cycle up to 35 days so far

So as you can see they are not accurate every month! I ovulated on CD22 this month and last month was CD18. Totally confused about when to test.

I have only been ttc for three months.

Sorry for rambling but am so .

Looking above, what do you think?

xx

PizPizPiz · 03/10/2006 14:29

endlesslove, I think you should keep the pressure off yourself and not test until at least 16 days after ov. That is if af hasn't come obviously. Do a lot of bding at the right time and then count the days without even thinking about testing until the 16 days have passed. Relax, you've only been trying for 3 months, it may seem long for you but it is not.

MrsMcJnr · 03/10/2006 15:11

Big hugs to you Endless, but I agree, you are only 13dpo and it might just be too early. Try not to worry. Sending you tons of good vibes and babydust.

lovelybird · 03/10/2006 16:32

Hi all,
well AF has started I think, same as last month just a bit so far today, no niagra falls as yet! So I am really going to try this month and need some advice on charting, temps, etc as my cycle is erratic so no real idea when I'm OV'ing.
A couple of books have been mentioned, but wondered if anyone could recommend one they found useful and not too complicated before I get one. Or a useful website with all the info I need?
Also, should I count CD1 as today or wait until niagra falls before starting to count?
All advice/tips gratefully received.
Thanks

MrsMcJnr · 03/10/2006 16:47

Hello lovelybird - we'll help all we can, welcome to the wonderful world of charting and thinking endlessly about temps and CF!. I would recommend Toni Weschler's book "Taking Charge of your Fertility" (you can buy it on amazon.com) I thought it was really easy to follow and the associated software and on-line advice from ovusoft.com. There is a 15 day free trial on the software too.

All you really need is a thermometer, a chart and your MN chums really!

oh, and if I were you, I would wait for niagra falls to start before counting cd1.

sideways · 03/10/2006 16:48

Agree with the others, you still have a few days to go hopefully. It must be so frustrating having cycles that change every month.

sideways · 03/10/2006 16:49

Sorry, that was to endlesslove!

lovelybird · 03/10/2006 18:31

Thanks,

I'll have a look on amazon. I have an infant thermometer will that do? It's one of those ones that goes under the arm for babies from mothercare?

Babymad4num3 · 03/10/2006 18:44

Evening Ladies!
CD26 today, 14dpo! Feeling abit down and unloved (arrr)! AF due on Friday been getting the AF feeling and AF pains so I think she's on her way! Been testing but all are BFN so losing hope fast, been getting creamy CM today ! Going to chase up that scan and x-ray this week as I haven't got any letters from hospital as yet. DH should be going for is s-test very soon as I told him I don't need his swimmers for about 10 days or more, so he free to do that now, bless! Cant believe how long we have been TTC if we don't have a BFP this time it'll be 16 months, seems so long, soz feeling sorry for myself this week cant you tell! Arr bless MrsMcJur you thought of me thanks it means alot! How is everyone!? have I missed everything!?

rubyroo · 03/10/2006 18:45

hi to all 15dpo temps still up but still bfn! have splashed out on expensive test for tommorrow a.m!

endlesslove am also having funny tugging pains ? lets keep each other posted.

MrsMcJnr your fil definitely deserved it! i am 35 by the way so you're a spring chicken compared to me well your eggs are at least!!

rachelrose and sideways i also have a dd who is 2.6yrs old and people keep bringing up the age gap thing, the thing is it really depends on the individual children and their personalities and interests rather than ages. anyway bodies need at least two and half years to recover from pregnancy thats what my physio said after my dd anyway!! (long story why i needed a physio after dd may put others off)
i feel happier today i think because the waiting is nearly over and one way or the other i'll know for definite by the end of the week hugs to all

rubyroo · 03/10/2006 18:51

hi lovelybird i think you probably need a proper thermometer to chart as the ovualtion rise can be quite small for some people it is for me. i wish i'd got a fahrenheit one too as the shift is easier to see than wth celsius. fertilityfriend.com is a great website which takes you through all the charting basics and has a free 14days membership other people have posted on here websites for buying online i think its called something diagnostics sorry to be vague but i'm sure someone else will know more.

sideways · 03/10/2006 19:15

hi rubyroo, my dd is 3.5, so the age gap is even bigger

endlesslove · 03/10/2006 19:22

Hi all, AF has arrived. Feeling very sorry for myself so I am guessing tomorrow will be CD1 again. Very so back to square one again. Good luck everyone and wishing you loads of babydust.

DD1ofcolandgerry · 03/10/2006 19:30

Hello everyone,

Im just letting you know I will be signing off for a while. In really down about ttc at the moment. Everyone around me seems to be getting pregnant and today one of my closest friends told me she was pregnant, and her due date is exactly the same as what mine would have been. Its hit me really hard and Ive been crying all day. I'll keep you all in my thoughts, and I hope that there are lots of bfp's when Im away. Thanks for all the support

babydust to all

dd1

lovelybird · 03/10/2006 19:30

Thanks MrsMcJnr & Ruby Roo, I'll start working what all this temp thing is ready for this cycle.

lovelybird · 03/10/2006 19:45

have just had a look on amazon - the toni weschler book appears to only have 5 out of 5, thanks for the recommendation. I have ordered it, hopefully it will be here this week.

jess1996 · 03/10/2006 19:51

Hope nobody minds me joining this thread. I was expecting AF 9 days ago. Last test yesterday was BFN (very disappointed after I thought I had a faint positive on Sat). I've had AF pains on and off for a week now, but no sign of it yet. I am so fed up. I felt really sick today, but I think it's just stress. All this waiting is driving me mad. I like reading the threads on here though, it's nice to know I'm not the only one who's getting stressed about TTC!!

sideways · 03/10/2006 19:55

Take care dd1 xx

feedmenow · 03/10/2006 20:11

Oh DD1......sorry to hear you are so down. I hope the beak does you the world of good and that you're back again in no time

Natty1806 · 03/10/2006 20:37
