Hi, I'm not sure if theres already a thread for those hoping for a +ive October. I'm on the +ive Sept one but my fertile window for this month has just passed without being able to try (got to get blood sugars stable before we can try) so next chance to try will be towards end of September (32ish cycle), which means I won't be in a position to test til October. If theres already an October thread please point me in that direction, if not, here we go!

thanks! I can sleep tonight now!

DD1ofcolandgerry · 26/09/2006 19:37

muminthemaking,

welcome to the october thread, theres a handy acronym list at the top of the page, but af is auntie flow.

was also a preseed virgin until last month, and we loved it!!!!!!!!

is everyone watching the football? or bding? anyone in here? still want some advice to test or not to test!!

littlespecialk · 26/09/2006 20:14

hey rubyroo. sounds like you are just a day or two ahead of me. i try to hang on as long as poss because result would be unreliable now anyway. sucks waiting though doesn't it?

rubyroo · 26/09/2006 20:22

hi littlespecialk, i am such an impatient person!! i know it'll be pointless but i still want to!! managed to do 3 tests last month even though it was pretty obvious i hadn't ovulated! am trying to convince myself i haven't gone completely mad!! everyone keeps asking if we're having another blah blah... and i just wish people wouldn't so you don't have to think up another excuse. anyway babydust to us!!

littlespecialk · 26/09/2006 20:30

I guess we all have to do what makes us feel better. After 9 months I am just fed up of paying for tests that I wouldn't have needed if I'd waited one more day...

btw I have plenty of insensitive friends around me too. Haven't had a baby yet so they are always telling me how wonderful it is and how i should do it. I am trying desperately not to get excited right now but the days totally drag towards the end of the cycle. just want to fast forward and know either way.

rubyroo · 26/09/2006 20:47

i know i just feel like i'm wishing my life away a bit cause i'm always waiting, to test, for af which is pretty irregular to ovulate ditto etc but i think if i can just wait til mon at least if its bfn then it won't be too long til we can try again. at least everything seemed to function on time more or less this month so i'm going to just be happy about that! sending patient thoughts your way too!!

littlespecialk · 26/09/2006 21:04

thanks rubyroo. same to you. i am going to try to wait until tues to test. am feeling v serene tonight though as have had accupuncture. shall go to sleep thinking positive thoughts for the both of us.

feedmenow · 26/09/2006 21:42

Hi Rubyroo & Littlespecialk...are you still here? I tested today (got a bfn ) but I'm pretty sure it is too early. I just keep getting phases where I feel really sick, and am convinced that my boobs are sore, etc. And then I feel fine, like right now. Anyway, I'm hoping that testing today was just too early....plus, I put the test down upside down when it says to put response window face up.....is there any chance this could actually make a difference?

RachelRose · 27/09/2006 08:33

Hi all - And welcome all the newcomers to the thread.

Rubyroo and littlespecialk, did you both manage to resist testing last night - As I was reading it, I half expected you both to run off and test

Feedmenow, it could just be too early to test - I dont know about holding the test the wrong way I'm afraid.

There seems to be some good feedback about pre-seed. If DH's are enjoying it too, then I may as well give it a go... Access Diagnostics here I come

MrsMcJnr · 27/09/2006 10:01

Hello ladies! CD19 for me and 2dpo, not really getting much of a thermal shift this cycle but I do have 2 temps above my coverline but I am waiting for them to go .3 above before I will be happy. Really hope the B6 has worked and that I get a longer LP this month (and a BFP of course!!)

Hope you are feeling better now NattyandThomasandBump (loving the new name). DH's reaction must hve been quite a shock to you after you have been focusing on achieving your BFP and thought he would be as delighted as you are. He'll come round if he hasn't already. Thanks for the positive info about TTC!

Hi Sideways, hope you had a great holiday! What CD are you on now? Glad the grapefruit juice worked, something is working for me too but I am not sure which of all the potions it is!

Hey there Babymad, I think the progestrone released after OV is meant to make CM dry up but there are reasons for it to come back. One of them is a smaller surge of oestrogen into the LP which causes 1 or 2 days of creamy CM. JL2 - looking back, you needn't have worried about all that CM! Just shows how little we all know, foxed by nature again! Thanks for your vibes for me!

Rubles, sending you big hugs, I'm afraid, I don't know what that means either but I'm sorry you are down. What do those levels mean?

Hello Cityangel - great to have you with us (but sorry it had to happen for your sake)! anything in particular that we can help you with? Thanks for the info about B6, I shall look that up. I know that the Sanatogen ProNatal vitamins that I take daily throughout my cycle contain130% of your RDA of B6 so I think I am doing the right thing by stopping the extra ones after OV. I have nearly finished my first tub of those vitamins (90 days worth) feel that they are nearly finished and no BFP, but that is not the attitude is it!!

Hello Rubyroo, how many dpo are you? sorry to hear about your car . If AF is due on Monday, it might be too early and if you know you'll be upset about a BFN then I would try and wait, what if you get a BFN and get all upset only to get a BFP next week? and even if you did get a BFN, would you not still keep the hope that it was too early?! Up to you chick but I'd wait a few moe days if I were you.

Hello Sneaks, Littlespecialk & Muminthemaking - Welcome to the thread. LOL it does seem weird at first that everyone is taking cough mixture when they don't have coughs! Littlespecialk, will you be testing soon? Love the title Mysteries of Mucus, do you think it would be a best seller? If there is anything that we can help with, give us a shout!

Hi there Desperate - sorry that you didn't get lucky last month but it's good to have you here old pal! sleeping better?

Helo Edie123 - wht's new with you? Hello Feedmenow - sorry to hear about BFN, hope it was just too early.

Hello DD1 - good luck this month!!

Hi RachelRose good luck with the pre-seed! if you order it now, you should have it by the weekend! I feel like a kid in a sweet shop on their site, shall I add an OV test or a PG test, shall I splash out on a digital one or make do with the strips......!!

Phew - hello to all and any that I have not mentioned!!

Now running to Sept thread to hear all about my pal Andi and her BFP

rubles · 27/09/2006 10:23

This thread moves a bit too fast for me...I do struggle to keep up.

Rubyroo - it's too early, try your hardest not to test. Take it one day at a time - or even half a day at a time, just keep putting it off and putting it off. If you have a strong moment give the tests to your dp to hide for a day or two. I'm not sure how many days past ovulation you are, but if you aren't due until next monday it sounds far to early and the tests are going to be negative whether you are pg or not.

MrsMcJnr - I have kind of calmed down after yesterday's outburst. The FSH level on day 3 is one of the indicators of the ovarian reserve. My level was 10.2 but the range should be between 1 and 10. I searched on the web and found an Australian fertility site which said that 1 to 10 was fine but 10 to 20 indicated declining ovarian reserve. I have since spoken to dp who has convinced me that it is only very fractionally outside of the acceptable range and that it is not the 'beginning of the end' but 'the end of the beginning'. I was very angry with myself for leaving it so late (although there was actually no choice, but still..) and angry at luck for making me lose the baby I conceived last November as then I wouldn't even be in this situation now. I am not angry now though - but it is a wake up call to get the appointments with the infertility clinic set up.

There are so many people on here I can't speak to everyone, so babydust to you all.

I'm 5 dpo and yesterday I had fertile CM. I normally get that on 9/10 dpo. Strange.

buffythenappyslayer · 27/09/2006 10:27

hi guys, just posted on the september thread aswell, couldnt wait until friday so i tested this morning and got BFP!!!

MrsMcJnr · 27/09/2006 10:28

Rubles, glad to hear you are feeling better and thank you for the explanation. Hope you get the appointments set up so you get piece of mind and you never know what might happen whilst you are waiting for them.

MrsMcJnr · 27/09/2006 10:29

Yipee Buffy!!!!!

buffythenappyslayer · 27/09/2006 10:29

i still dont believe it!keep thinking i'll still get af!!

Babymad4num3 · 27/09/2006 10:40

Hi ladies!
CD20 AND 8dpo temp still high, feeling very tired haven't been getting that much sleep for a few days, Af due next firday hoping it dont show up as i dont want to say 16 months TTC i really dont !
Hope everyone is fine and well!
Great news, all them BFP in September how many is that now!?

rubles · 27/09/2006 10:40

Good on you Buffy. You did sound very pregnant in your earlier emails - was it a nice strong line?

buffythenappyslayer · 27/09/2006 10:42

it was faint at first but i left it awhile and its definately there!still dont believe it though!

feedmenow · 27/09/2006 11:39

Congratulations Buffy! Fab news!

RachelRose · 27/09/2006 12:52

Congratulations Buffy! Fab news... So many BFP's

Thanks for the explanation of FSH Rubles. I'd been wondering what that was. Can you do home tests for it do you know? Maybe thats just one more thing to worry about if it was possible. Glad that you are not as stressed about it. You are only a minute amount over 10, so it really is still only a 10.

As for me I'm on CD20 today and have my first signs of EWCM. I was just thinking about stopping OV testing this month as no + so far, but I think I'll test again today when back from work. It could just be a strange month...

MrsMcJnr · 27/09/2006 12:59

That's odd Rachel isn't it!? means that you are still in for a good chance this month though!

Sneaks · 27/09/2006 13:09

I'm not very up on all the lingo in here ... lol but i think im roughly CD 29 ..last period was august 28th.. never really looked into the ins and outs of the whole thing before started trying but here i am .. did a test today, dunno why , just reading here gave me the bug. anyway i should have tested this morning but i didnt . tested about 12o clock and got a very strange result.after three minutes, a faint line (horizontal) in the pos window and a vertical line in the neg window.it stayed like that for about two or three minutes.. then faded and then disappeared just leaving the negative line. doesnt bode well i suppose.
So im at a loss as to know whether i am or not.
Feelin quite sick all day today..and weeing a lot. That could be anything though.. I dunno ARGH!

Cakehead · 27/09/2006 13:21

Hello ladies, mind if i join you?

Just had a bfn for September, so am gearing up for another month of trying. Am feeling a bit grumpy as from my OV testing sticks it looks as though I should be ovulating next week for the two/three days I'm going to be abroad for work. Gahh. Is there any point me hoping that some BD before I go might just work the magic while I'm away? Or do I just write off next month as not happening?

Am enjoying reading this thread. Nice to think that some people are getting lovely BFPs at the moment - congratualations to you all...

sideways · 27/09/2006 13:29

Buffy - congratulations .

Cakehead - your post has reminded me that dh is going to be away this month from CD1 to about CD16, so that's no bloody use!

May as well start a November thread for myself now
