Hi, I'm not sure if theres already a thread for those hoping for a +ive October. I'm on the +ive Sept one but my fertile window for this month has just passed without being able to try (got to get blood sugars stable before we can try) so next chance to try will be towards end of September (32ish cycle), which means I won't be in a position to test til October. If theres already an October thread please point me in that direction, if not, here we go!

I've just got back from the doctors. Feeling a bit glum. She gave me the results of my blood tests taken about a month ago. My FSH is 10.2 which is above the range of normal and now I am in a panic, and t.b.h feeling f*ed off.
She has referred me to gynae, FINALLY, so we'll see what they say.

Hi, It sounding so good for so many of us this month - babymad, Mrsmcj, andi... And is there any sign of lovelybird - I think she was one of our next testers!

CD19 for me (thought it was CD 19 yesterday, but think I was having a moment of confusion) - still no OV according to tests but read what you said Juicylucy about OV's not working for everyone, so we'll see. I'm still going to carry on so I can try to figure out whats going on this cycle, but reckon I'll get them from internet now as too expensive in shops - any advice on a good site?

RachelRose · 26/09/2006 12:19

Sorry you are not happy rubles - like nattyandthomas (and baby), I dont understand the numbers, but at least you are getting the chance to see someone soon.

NattyandThomas - My DH was exactly the same when I was pg with DS2. It only took a month after we agreed to try and he was shocked and not that excited. I was about to be made redundant so it was all bad timing, but he was soon as thrilled as I was!!! I guess for women its a little easier as we know so much more about whats going on - well, some of the time

sideways · 26/09/2006 12:38

Babymad, had a great time thanks. Not pleased to be back as it brings the whole ttc thing back to me! It's easier to forget about it all when you're on holiday.

sideways · 26/09/2006 12:39

Natty - forgot to say congratulations

Babymad4num3 · 26/09/2006 13:06

littlespecialk · 26/09/2006 16:40

Hello peeps
Am new to this. I think I am on CD21 (too scatty to know for sure) so it will be Oct by the time I get a +/- so am guessing this is right thread for me. 2 questions (sorry to be a bore) - what is CM? and why are you all knocking back cough mixture? Have clearly missed a trick there!

desperate2bmum · 26/09/2006 16:47

cm is cervical mucus and cough mixture is supposedly said to help produce it..i will be putting it to the test this month!

oh and welcome to the thread!

edie123 · 26/09/2006 16:51

Also supposed to make the CM easier for the sperm to travel through.

littlespecialk · 26/09/2006 16:52

it's true that you learn something every day... however wierd. how does one monitor mucus levels then? are we talking discharge here?

feedmenow · 26/09/2006 17:17

Aaah, LittlespecialK, you DO have much to learn Unfortunately I am not the one to teach you as this stuff is all far too advanced for me! However, there are many knowledgable ladies on here who can tell you what to take at which stage in your cycle, what kind of cm to look for and much, much more! Good luck!

littlespecialk · 26/09/2006 17:23

all sounds very icky to me but will start a knicker checking programme and have a look through other threads to discover more of the mysteries of mucus.

cityangel · 26/09/2006 18:10

Mrs MCJnr I found this link on taking B6 that I thought could be useful they seem to recommend higher dose CD1 - OV and lower (if any dose after)

www.birth.com.au/class.asp?class=6510&page=7

I get vitamins on Healthspan and they offer x2 different strengths and also high strength EPO.
Hope this helps :0)

rubyroo · 26/09/2006 19:03

hi to all have just got dd into bed and time to read all todays news! im cd23 today my temps went back up this morning so think i did have an implantation dip yesterday, i googled it and no, it means nothing necessarily. also had my blood tests yesterday and was so stressed i bumped my car! am trying to calm down shouldn't really test till mon but don't think i've got the will power to make it til then and not go out and buy a first response etc.. what do you think should i wait? i know i'll get upset if its bfn so maybe better to wait til it would be definite?

Babymad4num3 · 26/09/2006 19:06

omg OMG OMG andi0411 CONGRATULATIONS well done chick!

DD1ofcolandgerry · 26/09/2006 19:06

Natty and Thomas....congrats on the bpf. Im delighted for you. Looks like you have started something as andi has just got one on the september thread .

I havent been about for a day or two, but great news Coggy with your appointment, glad it went well for you.Enjoy all the booze over the festive season

Hi to mrsmcjnr, dm2b, natty, and everyone else on this tread.

Welcome to littlespecialk.. you will soon get the hang of the speak on here, everyone is a great support to eachother.

As for myself, I dont know where i am today. Im on CD11 following the miscarriage, and got a positive ovulation test stick this am. Then read the leaflet and it said that if you had recently been pregnant then the results could be affected. I dont know what to think, but Im going to go for it now and bd every night until cd16. I know they say to bd alternate days, but we bd daily last month and got the bfp. So if it worked once it should work again.......hopefully

babydust to all

rubyroo · 26/09/2006 19:17

hi LittlespecialK i got toni weschlers book taking charge of your fertility out of the library and its really comprehensive i feel like i've grown a new part of my brain since reading it! it goes all through charting and checking cm but also has a section of questions and answers at the end.

muminthemaking · 26/09/2006 19:30

Hello. I'm new to all this, a bit about me.... I have been TTC for 9 months, tried preseed last month for first time (DH loved it and will def use again!), I'm on DC27 and got a BFN this morning so am joining the October thread!

Please can someone tell me what AF stands for (I know it refers to a period but can't figure out what the letters stand for, this has been bugging me for a while!)

Good luck and baby dust to you all and here's to a poitive October
