I thought I'd start a thread for all those who will be starting out TTC this month, I'd be interested to see how other people get on, tips, moral support etc. We'll be starting TTC at the weekend!!
Please join me!

Cheesecake did you use first wee of the day? First response seem to be the best.

Maybe (try) wait a few days and poas again if no AF. I've got a good feeling about this! I've been using fertility friend app and it recons the best day to test is 5 days after AF is due. All this bloody waiting!!!! It's not fair!!!

tashalou · 17/04/2014 11:15

I POAS again today still nothing... Kind of given up hope for this month now

Ducky23 · 17/04/2014 11:19

Sorry tash I might have asked a million times before but when are you due?

Don't give up hope until AF arrives Smile

Like I said before I've seen a thread on here where someone didn't get their BFP until 2 weeks after AF was due!

kitkatkaty87 · 17/04/2014 11:27

Tashalou how long did you have to wait for your first period then? Usually if I missed just one pill I would get a tiny withdrawal bleed a few days later. So I'm surprised it hasn't come. It's frustrating! I wish it could mean I was pregnant but I'm pretty doubtful about that! Xx

tashalou · 17/04/2014 11:41

I didn't just stop the pill I finish that cycle so then had my period as normally after and just didn't start pill again, I then had another period after 27 days. So if I was to go on a 4 week cycle again I would have been due Tuesday. So I know bit really late just frustrating

Ducky23 · 17/04/2014 11:42

Ladies,

I have just had a massive breakdown.

I also snapped an poas, there is the faintest ever second line. I will have to wait and do another one in a few days. Please keep your fingers crossed Confused

I didn't think id react like that, all of a sudden the fear of having another stillborn just rushed through me and I'm shaking.

I'm praying this one will hold on Confused.

It is very very very faint tho. Confused

Ducky23 · 17/04/2014 11:43

I'm not going to tell anyone until I get a stronger line

tashalou · 17/04/2014 11:46

Ah congrats ducky! Great news. As for your fear I can't even imagine what you went through before so the fear will always be there however I'm sure it won't happen to you again, hopefully with your experiance the hospital your under will keep a close eye on you x

Ducky23 · 17/04/2014 11:48

It's so faint I don't know if I can even class it as a positive?

tashalou · 17/04/2014 11:49

A line isa line in the hospital we count any line as a positive :-) just give it a couple of days

kitkatkaty87 · 17/04/2014 11:52

Yayyyyy ducky. Positivity can do wonders so keep thinking positive and every day is a day stronger.
so happy to read this though!!!

Ducky23 · 17/04/2014 11:53

Will try! I just remember all the stories on here of faint positives then turning to negatives days later

kitkatkaty87 · 17/04/2014 11:54

Please keep us updated every day of the line changing!

If all goes to plan I will do kitkat! Grin

Really really hope it turns out to be a massive strong BFP!

I have drank a massive bottle of water before doing it and it wasn't first wee of the day so will do another tomorrow morning and hopefully get a stronger one Smile

alizeeod · 17/04/2014 12:35

Do a first wee test tomorrow ducky, and tell us straight away! I hope you get a bfp!!! :-)

Ducky23 · 17/04/2014 12:45

Ducky23 · 17/04/2014 12:56

Thank you

Just did a first response and it's very faint but Deffo there Grin

sleepdeprivedmadwoman · 17/04/2014 13:37

Hi, Can I join?

I have been lurking in the background the last couple of weeks.
This is the first month of ttc number 3 (there is an enormous age gap between 1 and 2). I so want to talk about it with friends but have agreed with DH that we will keep it private.
If I count from the first day of last withdrawal bleed, today is CD 27. Of course that is assuming I have settled straight back in to a 28 day cycle as previously.
All week I have had intermittent stomach pains and today I am nauseous but very hungry. Assume af is on way and it feels worse due to coming off the pill.
I am going to test tomorrow and if bfn at least I can console myself with a nice glass of wine.

Fingers crossed for you Ducky!!

Ducky23 · 17/04/2014 13:39

Hi sleep!

And thank you :-)

Good luck on getting your BFP!!

Just looked on nhs due date calculator, it says I'm 3 weeks pregnant and (fingers crossed) baby would be due 26 dec! Although I would be induced early.

I'm still in shock, the first response one was Deffo more clear

sleepdeprivedmadwoman · 17/04/2014 13:47

That would be wonderful Ducky to be home with a new baby for Christmas.

Hope I get BFP too. Age is really not on my side so it needs to happen sooner rather than later.

alizeeod · 17/04/2014 13:48

Congrats, Ducky! How long had you been trying for since stopping contraception?

BearsInMotion · 17/04/2014 13:50

Oo, fx Ducky!

Ducky23 · 17/04/2014 13:55

I wasn't on contraception Ali, I had a stillborn daughter in feb, started trying again in march (although it was kind of half assed trying that month) then used the opks this month and was at it like rabbits every other day then 2 days in a row when I got a positive opk.

Would be lovely to have a Christmas baby Smile

Trying to stay calm though as it's VERY early days Confused

Freckles79 · 17/04/2014 13:56
