For those starting TTC in April

I thought I'd start a thread for all those who will be starting out TTC this month, I'd be interested to see how other people get on, tips, moral support etc. We'll be starting TTC at the weekend!!

If your not sure about your cycle length or when you ov then try waiting 2 weeks after DTD and then take one

I deffo can't wait ill 5 days after AF is due ! I know I'll be bad n test early lol can't help myself

I knowwww that would be toucher!!! It's only been 7 dpo tomorrow and it feels like it's been FOREVER!!! Slowest 14 days of my life.

I have already poas, I don't know why, I don't know what I was expecting to see. Like I was waiting for a miracle and I would get a BFP ridiculously early.

It's official. I'm going insane.

14 days eughhhhh mines only just begun so think urself lucky ur already 7dpo lol! :p
It's nice to have support from mumsnet tho :) makes the wait slightly more bareable!
Lol Ducky23 ur not going insane trust me! I think we all poas extremely early :p u have to build up to the moment of getting a bfp ! :D

Haha I've promised myself now no more poas until Monday!!! I've head of BFP's 10 dpo so will see

Maybe this will distract me from breaking the promise to myself and running to the bog every day waving a test! Ha

I'm going the away on the 25th so I'm hoping to get my bfp before I go! I want to surprise my DH on holiday and make it special :)

Ohhh kitkat, have you read about observing cm to see when your ov? Maybe that will help

Kitkat, cm changes helped me determine when I actually ov! That's why I'm certain it happened yesterday. As Ducky23 Said, have a read about that. If I don't get my bfp this month then I'm deffo gonna start monitoring cm

I've been looking at this pre seed stuff and conceive plus, not sure if itl work but it's worth a go!

Hey ladies, I'm TTC #1 cycle #1 in April too!! :-) sooo excited and basically shagged like rabbits around ovulation day. Am now on the 2ww and its driving me crazy!!!!!! I know you are supposed to POAS 14 post ovulation but can you realistically do it any earlier?

Am a bit worried though about being 37 and how long it might take. Like other posters, when I was at school - an all girls school no less - we were pretty much told you even looked at a boy you got pregnant. Yeah it appears not!! I tell myself I'm not expecting much on cycle 1 but I do I know I will feel crushing disappointment if AF appears.
I need to get a grip as this could be a long journey!!!!!!

From the posts I have seen on here it is possible to get a BFP on 9-10dpo but then some people don't get a BFP until 2 weeks after AF was due!!

How far are you into tww?

And hello Brunmiegirl15! I can so understand how u would feel crushing disappointment if AF appears on cycle 1 as, like me, ur so excited to have just started ttc! Doctors do say it can take a year and that's normal I have to keep reminding myself this. But u have to remember it will happen when it wants to so u have to be patient.
I know it's hard! But we'll all get our bfp's eventually and to have support off here rele helps :)
Just enjoy all the baby dancing u get to do! :p

Hah I'm only about 3 days post ovulation!! I'm rubbish at this waiting!!! This is the first time I've EVER TTC - and it was weird almost going against everything I've been told to do. I almost feel that the ridiculous part of me is thinking "so, I did what I was told never to do with a boy" (we'll I say boy, DP s 44!! ) so therefore it must have worked!!!! Ridiculous I know. I need to not wind myself up. But if AF comes then hey ho. Loads of people I know caught on cycle 2/3 - plus longer. But I've heard good things about Pre-seed so will be buying some of that. A work colleague has just had DC 2 and she used Pre-seed and caught on Cycle 2.

My word, you lot sound like pro ttc-ers! I need to catch up.
I'm ttc no 2. I got pg first time round 6 months after stopping the pill, at age 38. Now DS is 2 yrs and 4 months. We've been ttc ( unprofessionally ) since then.
I am starting to think it might never happen. Am 41 now. May be I should look into these strip things, and conception stuff to help us along.
Am currently on AF. So it'll be action stations soon... I'll have to do some research!

Me and DH aren't officially TTC but I have come off the pill if that makes sense! We've decided to just be off the pill for a few months and see what happens, trying not to get too stressed about ovulation etc but its good to have a general idea about how your own body works. I'm hoping my AF will be fairly regular as it always was before I was on the pill.

We're going on holiday in June so will kick things up a gear then lol!

Got excited reading all these I hope everyone gets BFP very soon!i think I ovulatedlast week AF due end of next Week but not too sure as not long been off pill! I'm also a POAS addict, I work in a&e so have done a couple at work! Plenty supply and saving the pennies!
