Seeing as the other thread has gotten soooo long (not that I have another ulterior motive ) I thought it's time we moved on here.

* May this thread bring luck to all who post on her *

Let me start by saying that I hope the first definite big fat positive dark blue line here is Bunny !

SMelly......according to my NHS PG book you are fertile 12 - 16 and the most likely time is tonight so grab your DH and get bd'ing!!!!

smellymelly · 16/03/2004 19:18

Collision

The longer you wait to wee the more concentrated the pregnancy hormones are. That is why 1st wee of the morning is best, but if you haven't been all afternoon then that is fine too. Some of these tests will show 3 days b4 AF is due, so you should be fine now.

Azure · 16/03/2004 19:18

I think ovulation happens the second day of "O" using Persona, so would guess that ovulation has happened.

Collision - fingers crossed it's good news, whenever you test.

smellymelly · 16/03/2004 19:19

Great he's away on business tonight.
Actually it's more complicated than that, we are trying for a girl so I'm not allowed to do the deed after I've ovulated!!!

Mum2Ela · 16/03/2004 19:22

Bloody hell Bunny! Congratulations!! I am in shock for you! (don't know why though). JOin us on the Nov thread.

Good luck everyone else on this new, v fertile thread!

x

Azure · 16/03/2004 19:24

It's bizarre - I'm here at work all packed up to go home and am delaying leaving in case someone I have never actually met wees onto a stick. That's Mumsnet for you. It's no good - must get home to my husband and child.

bunny2 · 16/03/2004 19:26

Collision, GO DO A TEST!! Maybe we can graduate together. Best of luck with it, did you get a two-pack?

Thanks again for all the lovely messages. I still dont believe it and have bought a First Response to do in the morning, Mr Bunny would shudder if he knew how much I was spending!

I shall inch tentatively towards the Nov thread. Fertility Friend gives me a date of 27/11/04 so I shall also join the Dec thread when it is started. WHICH ONE OF YOU WILL START THAT THREAD???

Best of luck to you all, you all deserve to have more babies because you are all fab.

bunny2 · 16/03/2004 19:28

Smelly, could it be semen?

smellymelly · 16/03/2004 19:30

No def not semen!

bunny2 · 16/03/2004 19:33

You sure? It can live for a few days in the right environment, otherwise I'd opt for fertile mucus.

smellymelly · 16/03/2004 19:36

Yeah I'm hoping they are still swimming right up there!!!!!!

Maybe fertile mucus, can someone enlighten me on what that means and when it normally happens????

smellymelly · 16/03/2004 19:40

collision

Have you done it yet???

bunny2 · 16/03/2004 19:47

Still loitering, not quite ready to leave you all for Nov thread.

Smelly, fertile mucus is the egg white/runny stuff that resembles semen. Because it is so similar, it acts as an aid to the semen, helping it swim up towards whereever its going. Some women have loads over a period of days prior to ovulation, some women have it just once b4 they ovulate. Any other mucus (thick, sticky etc) acts as a barrier so is considered infertile mucus.

smellymelly · 16/03/2004 19:55

It was definitely egg white like, sort of clear and jelly like... makes me cringe though.

Please tell me this is the fertile stuff, I had an ectopic in Nov 03 and lost a tube, I'd be happy to know I'm ovulating as normal.

collision · 16/03/2004 20:03

No.....I havent done a test and am going to wait til the morning to guarantee a good strong WEE!! I will log on and let you all know in the morning!

bunny2 · 16/03/2004 20:09

Collision, fingers crossed for you tomorrow. I'll be looking out for your message.

Smelly, have you tried charting? It is incredibly interesting and gives a real insight into your cycle. FertilityFriend.com is a good site to use, you input all your temperatures, mucus, position of cervic etc and it will interpret the data and tell you when you are ovulating. It gives more info than Persona does I think.

smellymelly · 16/03/2004 20:29

thanks bunny2, I've had a look, i think i'll see what happens this month before I worry with temps, I did that last time and I felt it quite difficult to interpret the info myself, managed to get me a girl though!!!!

ermentrude · 16/03/2004 21:05

Oh Bunny!!! I am so excited!!

Congratulations!!! But don't go anywhere - you have helped me loads!

Quackers · 16/03/2004 21:07

Bunny, you still here , I know I'm always here too!
Smelly, defo fertile mucus, it can last for several days. If you ov'd yesterday the egg can only survive max 12-24 hrs, but fertile stuff still there. Try FF, there are a few graduates from there now!
Collision, did you test???????

bunny2 · 16/03/2004 21:19

Quacks, I might resurrect the pregnancy after miscarriage thread. I need reassurance from you.

bluestar · 16/03/2004 21:24

bunny2, really really pleased for you. Sending you loads of positive vibes for a happy and healthy pregnancy (and lots of morning sickness!!). Try not to dwell on what went before, sure everything will be ok. GOOD LUCK X

Quackers · 17/03/2004 08:56

Bunny, posted on your new thread. Yes do bring that thread up again, it's hardly used at all now. I'm at work, but will try to find some useful links for you. Hope what I said on other thread is useful though. xxx

Azure · 17/03/2004 10:01
