The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

Thinking of you GandT and you're just right keeping busy! I think AF is starting and have decided it gives me two weeks to whiten my teeth, laser my (awful) skin, get pist at my friends wedding next weekend and general ME things.

Have a question for any of you ladies, am hoping someone can answer for me! Last month I got a very faint BFP one morning and started my period late that nite. Think I was 11dpo and period came early. But was v light and short (although it has been since I came off pill 8months ago). Anyway 5 days later I took a test and got a full blown BFP. I just had a feeling i was preg and had peed lots that day. It said 1-2 weeks since conception in clearblue digital and doc blood test showed 150. But 5 days after that I miscarried naturally :(

I TTC again and this morn got a very faint BFP at 11dpo and just there now it looks like AF has come. I had been spotting brown past two days but now it's bright red like last time. I have a feeling the whole thing is going to start all over again and I'm wondering if this is a sign of a particular defect or is there anything I can do to make AF stop or my little bean stick? I have the same feeling as last month that I am pregnant but wondering why AF is coming 3 days early again :( I took vitamin b6 all month as well as pregnacare. Has this happened anyone else?

Would love some advice?

EnglishGirlAbroad · 24/04/2014 06:54

Flirty, firstly sorry this has happened to you. Secondly, I can't tell you why this might be happening, but sadly there is nothing you can do unfortunately to make it stick. I would make sure you let your doctor know whats happening as they may want to look into things further if this continues. Sad

officelady · 24/04/2014 07:07

flirty keep a record of dates of when you are getting +ve preg test results and again when AF arrives or when you get a negative. It might just be "one of those things" (HATE that phrase!) but it might be something that could be investigated by your GP, especially if it happens again. I think usually (I'm no expert) when a mc happens so early, it is because the egg/sperm didn't combine properly or there were chromosome defects which meant there was no chance of a baby developing at that early stage. This could be for all sorts of reasons, not least just pure bad luck, the stats are quite depressing in the early stages. Anyway onwards and upwards and fingers crossed for you! Early pregnancy is such a horrible time Sad

Nothing to report from here ... cd 19, no ovulation (jealous of you, English Envy ), no more mid-cycle spotting. BORING!! I have however taken up running. So that's nice Hmm

LittleMissSunshine33 · 24/04/2014 07:15

Flirty sorry to hear your news I would do another test so you know, then make notes of dates & symptoms but unfortunately doctors don't look into it further until you have 3 which is harsh! Touchwood this is still a sticky one though!

English I'm following you now as I'm on my fifth day of flashing smiley! Just hope it stays solid before the weekend as OH away on a stag do this weekend.

Can't believe it's nearly the end of April TTC seems to be all I've done this year!

HollyBen · 24/04/2014 08:04

So sorry flirty I have no advice other that the others have givrn re recording and speaking to gp

How are you doing seasides? What time is your scan? Thinking of you xx

flirty30s · 24/04/2014 09:49

Thanks ladies. Good idea to record every date, got them all in my phone calendar but would be good to get them down on paper. Can't help thinking my body isn't working properly and blaming myself but need to stay positive and look forward to some serious DtD this month!! X

flirty30s · 24/04/2014 09:50

officelady I might follow your lead and take up running too! Need to get some sort of hobbie other than Internet!! Is running ok while TTC?

Seasides · 24/04/2014 10:50

Hi ladies! So sorry you're having such a confusing time flirty, I can only echo the others' advice.

Thanks Holly - I was shaking when I went in, so scared, but a little 3mm grain of rice with a heartbeat showed up immediately! I just burst into tears of course, the scanner had to stop a couple of times for me to get a grip. It's such an enormous relief, it hasn't sunk in properly yet. I'm probably a couple of days before 6 weeks, so very much not out of the woods yet, but for today, at least, I will have a break from worrying and allow myself to feel pregnant. I'm not at work today, thank goodness, so just going to be really lazy, go for a walk, and maybe even buy a pg book!

Thank you all so much for all your support over the last year, I would have gone even more crazy without you wonderful ladies. I wish you all speedy, sticky BFPs, I truly do, and hope they come with no more heartache. Thanks

OttersPocket · 24/04/2014 10:58

Oh Seasides - you just made me cry! In a good way Smile

I've not been posting much as I'm finding it all a bit of a strain at the moment but I have been lurking and keeping up with your progress. I'm so happy for you lovely. You deserve it so much. I really, truly wish you all the best and hope to one day bump into you with our wee ones in Edinburgh one day Grin

Seasides · 24/04/2014 11:03

Thanks so much otter, and that would be lovely, I hope so too! Sorry you're finding it hard just now - are you enjoying wedding planning, is it helping take your mind off it?

OttersPocket · 24/04/2014 11:11

I am enjoy the wedding planning Seasides and it has helped a bit. I've just enlisted the help of a personal trainer 3 times a week to get me back in shape which has also made me feel much better. I totally let myself go after the mc in November. Oh, and I bought a really tight fitting wedding dress Grin. Of course, there is still that wee niggling voice which hopes I'm upduffed by then, but that never goes away does it Hmm

What a lovely time for you to be pregnant, the weather has been so good here recently Smile

Penguin13 · 24/04/2014 11:18

I'm lurking too. Seasides what utterly wonderful news. I had it all confuzzled in my head and thought your scan was next week Blush So happy for you Smile go Team Posifrickentivity!

EnglishGirlAbroad · 24/04/2014 11:23

Seasides, I'm so happy that your scan has gone well Smile and put your mind at ease. I wish you a happy, healthy and sticky pregnancy. Stick around and keep us updated.

Otters, nice to see you. Sorry you've been feeling a bit down. Glad wedding plans are going well. And getting back in shape can only be a positive thing. Good luck lady, pop back every now and then and let us know how you're doing. Smile

Metalhead · 24/04/2014 11:36

Amazing news Seasides! Fx the next 6 weeks will fly by without any problems, and you'll have a healthy baby in your arms in 9 months' time!

Seasides · 24/04/2014 11:40

Thank you so much everyone Smile! Will let you know how it goes, and will keep lurking to read your news of course.

glad wedding planning is going well otter - impressive about the PT! You can always sell your wedding dress and get a more forgiving one when if the best happens, but how exciting to have bought one!

Triplespin · 24/04/2014 13:33

seasides so happy for you !! that really brought a tear to me eye. Yes you should not think and act pg and so buying a pg book is a good way to start ! remember positivity is the way to go :) You have waited far too long for this and truly deserved to get good news your way. Your experience also shows how much worry early scans can cause - but of course it was important given your ectopic experience that an intrauterine pregnancy was determined.

gail fx for poas tomorrow !

Sorry I have not been on for a while. Just lurking as 7 weeks on, there is no AF in sight. Since I only got a bfn 1.5 weeks ago - I think there is some time to go for AF to arrive. I am still spotting, though it has become really light. I'm guessing since bfn was only 1.5 weeks, the spotting will probably continue for a few more weeks. I really want to start ttc again and the limbo state is getting to me.

hi to everyone and the new joiners! hope your stay is not too long on this thread.

HollyBen · 24/04/2014 14:03

Brilliant news seasides I am so so pleased for you.

We are going to fill this thread soon. is anyone going to be near a laptop soon to do the honours on a new one? I probably won't until the weekend

Carly6971 · 24/04/2014 14:11

Carly6971 · 24/04/2014 14:13

I am afraid I am an ipad only type girl plus am so technically retarded I wouldn't have a clue where to start...but if anyone does a new one can you let me know as I will prob be sat here thinking how quiet it is while your all busy on a shines new thread x

bythesea82 · 24/04/2014 15:13

Great news seaside, I hope you have a very un eventful 8 months!

Sorry not near a computer at the moment to update thread.

AF arrived today in a it's post mc glory, I'm pretty happy to feel rubbish, isn't life weird! Today it's a happy (ish) sign of things getting back on track, next month it will be the sight of doom Wink

sebsmummy1 · 24/04/2014 15:17

I am freaking out here girls. I have just finished a normal regular period and I had ordered some ovulation strips and they throw in pregnancy tests too. I have had so much lotion discharge the last two days that it's been really weird and so I did a test and I get a faint line. So I did another one and I get a faint line. So I do an opk and the LH line is really strong for cd6.

I want to ignore them and chalk it up to stupid bloody ICs but I'm sure I've read somewhere that it can be a sign of an ectopic pregnancy if you test positive after your period. I did have bad stomach pains but that was around 9dpo and ectopic related pains tend to be from 5 weeks - 10 weeks pregnant.

Am I being ridiculous?

sebsmummy1 · 24/04/2014 15:20

Seasides just seen your post and I am so happy for you xxxx

bythesea82 · 24/04/2014 15:29

Sorry Sebsmummy, don't know. Maybe worth giving your GP a ring for peace of mind?

EnglishGirlAbroad · 24/04/2014 15:48

Sebs could your flow have been classed as 'spotting'? Could you actually be properly upduffed?? I'd prob call the drs though...

sebsmummy1 · 24/04/2014 16:04

No, definitely normal flow for me. You know I wonder if it was a chemical. I was a day late which is weird for me and had that strange bleeding at 10dpo mixed with EWCM.

I will test again with FMU in the morning just for peace if mind that the line isn't any stronger. Really hope this blip isn't going to screw up this cycle if my body thinks it could be pregnant!!
