Notta I have no willpower, but I've decreased my crazy to one pack of tests each month for the last 2 cycles and it's def helped with the insanity. 2 tests only. Then af usually arrives :(

victoria401 · 28/04/2014 19:03

I just keep one test in a drawer for 6 months! Though I do intent to pee on ov sticks a plenty this month! Have 50 of the things and I'm starting on day 8 when I figure out my day 1!

Resist the tests notta.......

victoria401 · 28/04/2014 20:18

I need to remind myself of the title of this thread sometimes... --- & staying positive.... So why do I feel so negative!

Sparrowlegs248 · 29/04/2014 07:29

Its hard to stay positive all the time victoria

I feel a bit more sane today. Starting back on my diet which was going so well until I decided there was clearly no point as I would be pregnant soon.....

So, healthy eating it is and intend to lose a stone and a half so my lovely clothes fit me again. (In no way am I trying to tempt fate, oh no, not me!!)

mam your love of poas is well documented here i think! Its so easy when you have a stash.

Jessewalt · 29/04/2014 08:41

I try to stay away from poas. I don't use opks - mainly as for Sven months I got positive on day 14/15 but then one month I never got the positive and just about had heart failure.
However, when I bought the preseed, it comes with 5 cheapie preg tests - have used them all, when I knew not even the remotest chance they would be positive!
Stay away from the tests until AF is late, ladies!

victoria401 · 29/04/2014 10:37

Woman after my own thingymibob Jesse

Think I need a hug :-( still no proper af, tiny minute spotting last night and the same this morning. I have a 'circle' of achey pain around my midriff and the tops of my legs ache as if I've done 100 squats. I feel really really tired with slitty eyes and I feel I might cry at the drop of a hat. I'm in work in a daze, dont want to talk to anyone. My senior said I looked pale and should go home. Hubby said I looked pale last night and I couldnt keep my eyes open. Missed out on a leaving do.

Jessewalt · 29/04/2014 11:54

Despite my previous post, I think you should poas again.

victoria401 · 29/04/2014 12:23

I did this morning. BFN and now spotting has started again but heavier. Think I'm getting a proper af now. Came home from work as every little thing was threatening to set me off.

Jessewalt · 29/04/2014 13:44

Oh vic. You are much better off at home. But try to do something lovely. My current favourite is watching Crazy, Stupid, Love with Ryan Gosling.
I don't mean to be flippant when you are feeling shit, as we are all giving you a massive hug. X

GingerbreadBabyPlease · 29/04/2014 15:16

Ah vic what a bloody rollercoaster for you. Have you been taking B6, AC or any other supplements this month? Changed your vit pills? I wonder what is causing all this weirdness. Let's hope it's a baby! Naughty you for symptom spotting, but they do sound promising. I really hope it turns into a BFP for you soon. Enjoy a sofa day for now, and Ryan Gosling sounds like an excellent prescription!
Blue you also sound like you are having a right old confusing time. Confused Glad you've got a good man by you, I think they must struggle to know what the right thing is to do or say in times of ttc. They want to stay positive for us, but they must be disappointed month after month too, but feel they can't show it. I keep thinking I am going to stop mentioning any talk of babies/ttc to my DH, but then I can't help it and it all comes out at once!
I am on cd 19, got a +ve opk on cd16 and managed to dtd cd17 and 18, but not before cd16 so think I might have missed it this month. Also totally given up on the healthy living, figure what is the point if I'm not even ovulating. Need to get back on track with the diet though as well Notta, too many easter eggs still hanging around though!

victoria401 · 29/04/2014 15:32

Proper af has started now girls. I'm onto month 18, but at least now I know what my cd1 is! I don't take any supplements ginger, apart from frolic acid and iron. I thought the other vits are for trying to lengthen lp etc? Mine is fine.

I wish I knew why I've been feeling so rough though! This is not on! Apart from one rougue meal a week chinese this weekend we have been eating healthily. Cooking everything from scratch with plenty of veg. Cut caffeine completely now except in chocolate.

What can they do to help you ginger?

GingerbreadBabyPlease · 29/04/2014 15:45

Ah bloody hell. Gutted for you vic. At least now you know where you are up to as you say. Bring on the Wine! Yeh they are for LP really, I was just wondering if you had started anything new or different which could account for the random-ness. Just stupid hormones messing with you I guess Angry
Not sure really, I have a few more blood tests to get through, then will get another app with GP to discuss the results. I presume it will be a prescription of clomid, but I don't know if that will come from the Dr. I should get the app with the gynae in 4 months or so, then maybe onto the fertility clinic? I don't think I will get much help as I already have a child, but a diagnosis would be something!

Sparrowlegs248 · 29/04/2014 17:14

Oh Victoria sorry AF finally got you. How bloody shitty. Virtual ((hug)) coming your way.

I still have a crappy cold. Also got the tired slitty eyed feeling, not slept well for 4 nights. Bleurgh. Done sod all at work, it was all i could do to turn up!

One of my lovely colkeagues is pregnant. She really is lively and I am sooo happy for her but it does just ram it home that I'm not. I want to be able to chat to her and compare etc but it doesn't seem like that will happen.

Diet is unde way, have been very good so far today. Really need to get back into the habit.

My little crazy 'I'm obviously pregnant!!!' moment has passed for now. I wish this week would go quickly though. Roll on monday.....

Sparrowlegs248 · 29/04/2014 17:14

Colleague is lovely. Not lively....

victoria401 · 29/04/2014 17:36

I thought it was great that she was having a 'lively' pregnancy :-D

ImaginaryHat · 29/04/2014 17:57

Oh bloody hell Vic you've had a right palava over the last few days. Sorry af got you properly in the end but as you say at least you know where you are now.

ginger I don't think you will have missed the boat this month given those dates. The positive opk is in advance of ovulation so you should have timed it spot on!

notta I know how you feel. With our close friends announcing their pregnancy at the weekend I wish more than ever that it'd happen for us soon. It'd be lovely to share the experience and chat about everything. Hope you start feeling better soon too, this cold that's been doing the rounds is evil!

Well the ttc gods have smiled on me in a small way today. Got my positive opk, with 'day 21' blood tests tomorrow and on Tuesday the timing should work out OK. I should ov tomorrow, so the one on next Tuesday will be 6dpo, which is about right isn't it?! I was worried I wouldn't ov til friday-saturday-ish which would make next Tuesdays test pretty pointless at 3-4dpo.

Now if I could just ask for 1 more wish please ttc genie - bfps for everyone on this thread!

ImaginaryHat · 29/04/2014 18:12

BLOODY MEN!!!

I've been home an hour, and dh just casually said 'oh yeah I rang the doctors earlier to see if my sa results were in and everything's come back normal'!

He was mowing the lawn when I got in but still, an hour to mention it - he's so laid back its unbelievable!

Seriously, I'm really happy for him though and its one thing we can cross off the list of potential problems. He's not spoken to a doctor just the receptionist but he's picking up a copy of the results tomorrow and I can chat to the doc about them when I ring for my blood results in a week or so, so I can find out what it all means.

victoria401 · 30/04/2014 06:46

Great news about dh's sperm imaginary! X

Mam31 · 30/04/2014 07:41

Imaginary that's great news!!! :)

Sparrowlegs248 · 30/04/2014 08:25

Lol! A 'lively' pregnancy would be great!

In the same vein one of my nephews has asked his mum to grow him a sister.... I would love to give him a little cousin. I'd be thrilled with a boy or a girl but a girl would be nice as my sister has two boys.

Good luck with the tests imaginary and great news about the SA.

Day6 of stinking cold. Bleurgh.

MB1985 · 30/04/2014 08:52

Hi all sorry I've been a bit absent but dh os setting up a business so all crazy here - still finding time yo dtd though which is good :-) have had a definite improvement there! I have been doing ov test every day but the were -ve until later than I thought. I usually have a 27(ish) day cycle...cd13 was Friday. Got my 1st flashing smily on Sunday...am now on my 4th flashing smily but no solid one. Any ideas???? Sorry for the totally selfish post but - I have read through and feel for you Vic and notta and good luck ginger xx

Sparrowlegs248 · 30/04/2014 10:45

Good luck with the business MB Hope it all goes well. I can't help with the opk i'm afraid. I just have the digi ones where you get a blank circle or fixed smiley. Although only used them two cycles and got pos on day 8 the first month and 11 this month. Cycles are 24/25 days.

I would say dtd regardless if you can, EOD. This is something we fail at hence starting the opks.

Lauraqc · 30/04/2014 11:08

Morning all! MB great to see you're getting tentative smily faces :) and Imaginary congrats to your dh on results!

I've got cheapo opk tests from boots and have had bfn for the last 10 days (bearing in mind no af since Jan so stabbing in the dark here anyway!!)...i'll give it a couple more months and then start throwing money toward the issue...!!

lil1ady · 30/04/2014 13:04

hi all. on holiday here. Grin

mb you may be ov late due to the stress. I have irregular cycles and use cbfm and get a week or more of highs before I finally get a peak. stress is a common reason for delayed ov. hope you get a solid soon.

Vic sorry for all the messing around you've gone thru. but positive thinking for a new cycle Thanks

imaginary how did you not kill your do!! glad yo hear all good though. good luck for your blood results.

notta hope you've managed to avoid the sticks!

so much has happened since I was last on here!

I think the pre sf spotting is contagious. I never had it until last month for first time, then this morning but AF not due until tomorrow or Friday. I think its something to do with joining this thread! lol

xBlueberry88x · 30/04/2014 18:23

afternoon ladies,

Vicky I find it so hard to be positive sometimes its really annoying.

Notta I wish I could stick to a diet ot exercise program but im terrible.

Ginger I ate way to much chocolate over the last few weeks I dont normally crave it but recently I could eat it all day and it came at same time as easter not good lol.
My DP doesnt really share anything I think he gets sad when he see's how upset I am.

Imaginary men arent to good at thinking lolI had to keep reminding my DP to call for his results...if it was me id have called days sooner!

MB sorry I cant help either I only have the cheapy ones with the line and ive only started doing it this month

Laura how annoying hopefully your cycle settles down.

Lil wishI was on holiday lol.

CD 14 here opks havent changed (they are darker than first started).

So today ive had more bleeding mostly brownish but a bit of red then it pretty much disappeared still a bit brown when I wipe (tmi)
Had a bit of cramping but not the same as the ovulation pain I had last month

Getting worried now! this is the 2nd day of bleeding, yesterday none but day before I had some...
