The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

Result on the apology, Broody! Well done you! There's not really any excuse for that sort of admin error, hopefully they will check before sending errant texts to any other women.

Triple I bled in total for 11 days, not counting today because it's only a few spots of brownish stuff, not really any need for a pad but I wore one just in case. Out of the 11 days, about 4 were typical period style and 2 days were very heavy clots and some flooding. The rest was just quite mucussy or spotting. My boobs deflated on about the 4th day. When I had my scan yesterday the sonographer said there were no clots or anything remaining so I'm hoping this is the end of the bleeding. My uterus lining was slightly thicker than normal (6mm apparently, no idea what that means in the general scheme of things - I'm imagining quite a heavy period due to come next month?) but nothing else lurking in there. Hope your bleeding settles down soon.

sebs a faint line 8 days po is a good sign, permission to get a little bit excited! Of course if it turns into a negative in a few days you can say you knew it was an evap line all along Wink

Metalhead · 19/03/2014 18:21

Nice work broody! Hopefully they'll double check in future and save some other poor woman an unpleasant surprise.

MissHobart · 19/03/2014 18:21

Well done Broody! Grin

Not as bad but went to get prescription from the chemist and it had a sticker on saying "do not prescribe codeine without doctor's advice as pregnant" Angry It hit me much worse than I would have thought and I had to tell them to take it off the system as I'm not pregnant, in front of loads of people. Confused They said sorry and that it wasn't supposed to go on a sticker for me to see Hmm This is from my first PG/mc in July/August last year! If I hadn't seen it would they not have realised I'm not 8 months gone?! Confused

Viperama · 19/03/2014 18:34

tea I POAS ov wise when I get home from work

So my grocery shop this eve on my first day of AF: 1 months supply ov tests, pads, chocolate, crisps, fudge, paracetamol. Nothing else, good lord what's become of me?! Lol

Can someone fill me in on the concept behind cough syrup to help ovulation EWCM? Think I remember someone saying Boots does their own brand which is value for money? I'm stocking up for a Christmas baby!!!

Penguin13 · 19/03/2014 18:36

Manic couple of days at work so catching up on all the news.

Parsley so sorry for your workplace baby bomb. It's always hard. Well done for holding it together for the rest of your meeting.

Welcome kitkat. I'm sorry for your loss and hope you find some comfort here.

Squee cycle buddy sebs! Keeping everything crossed for you. Keep us posted on developments!

5dpo here and totally symptom free. Unless you count being mental as a symptom in which case am deffo upduffed

GailLondon · 19/03/2014 19:12

Just checking in! 4dpo here and bored of waiting. Will be poas ing next week if no AF
viper you need a cough syrup which only has guafenisen as the ingredient, they are normally labelled as mucus cough syrup or similar. I know asda and tesco do a cheap own brand one so am sure boots will do too. They taste minging!

EnglishGirlAbroad · 19/03/2014 20:38

Hi Ladies.. been absent for a few days as had my best friend over for the weekend. Was really lovely. Had a good natter, a laugh, nice wine, good food and went to the zoo!!

Welcome to the newbies. Sorry for your losses. *Kitkat I think i remember you from the buses?? Hope you find some support fromthese lovely ladies.

Hope your scan went as well as it can today Cake.
Fingers crossed for a nice clear line for you on friday Sebs, haven't had a bfp on here in a while!

*Broody you are my type of lady! High five on the apology!! I do love a twitter rant, especially when you get an apology. I once complained about a man that worked in the local tesco express that always stunk of BO..... Didnt see him for AGES, then he re-appeared - but still stinky. Thought i'd got the poor smelly soul sacked!!

I'm 12dpo (i think) although ff has indicated ov, I think the temp spike is random rather than down to ov because theyve been pretty up and down since. Poas this am (i know, i know. against the rules) BFN [SAD]
I wish my cycles would just normalise! Its so frustrating! And infuriating!!

Parsley2506 · 19/03/2014 20:54

Grin at smelly tesco man!

broody well done you for a) dealing with that shitshow in the first place and b) for being composed enough for getting an apology. Must have been such a kick in the teeth.

Good to hear from you MissH - you've been off the radar for a wee bit, I hope all is well with you! That must have been very awkward and upsetting, bloody computers are to blame for everything - I'm STILL getting sodding Emma's wanky Diary emails despite numerous rants. I am not a Twitterer (sp?) so just set up a rule to move them straight to spam.

viper that could have been my shopping basket! Wink

Post OV ladies, penguin, gail and english hang on in there! Naughty for POAS early english, may a BFP be your punishment! I am 9dpo now, not much occurring still, lots of cm tho? And sort of numb boobs. Are numb boobs a symptom?? definitely not numbed from all my prodding and poking

broodylicious · 19/03/2014 21:03

Haha english High five back atcha!

So this girl who I knew through the horses (she rode mine badly for a bit) has emailed tonight saying "so sorry to hear about your unborn baby hun, hope you're ok, how far were you? Look after yourself" How nice is that, I thought, not seen her for a while and that's really kind she's taken time out to message me. I reply, saying "yeah tough times, blah blah" Then she replies "ah bless you. I'm pregnant and couldn't think of anything worse" ShockAngryShockAngryShockAngry so basically she just messaged me to rub my effing face in it then?!?! Yes I'm hormonal and feeling down but this particular girl has previous for being bitchy and this is just typical of her character. Not what I needed.

Viperama · 19/03/2014 21:11

Broody what an odd odd person to msg something so nice and then that!!? Maybe she has no idea how horrible that is, some people are just so self absorbed they haven't a clue.

I'm super excited for POAS ers this Friday, come on magical baby dust give us some BFPs.

Penguin13 · 19/03/2014 21:30

Raaaaah Broody that is willfully thoughtless behaviour. Angry There's saying something in slightly the wrong way, and then there's, well....THAT. I wish your thoughtless acquaintance many stretchmarks.

miserywaterfall · 19/03/2014 21:38

Omg ffs broody what a twat!! My friend told me in December that she'd lost her twins and I was happily pregnant at the time and kept my mouth shut. The last thing I ever would have done was announce it to her, especially along the lines of 'oh god, I'm pregnant, I can't think of anything worse!' Total idiot.

Penguin13 · 19/03/2014 21:38

Parsley I have previous for public boob prodding and I have put H on boob watch to carefully monitor any changes using the assessment method he deems most appropriate Grin. I'm putting that in my 'how to positively involve your partner in your ttc journey book'. It's going to be just above 'feel free to leave your man in the dark as far as your fertile days go. Most men will more than happily believe they are a sex god and that at randomly determined intervals their partner simply cannot get enough of their honed to perfection physique, times which in no way exactly correspond to their fertile window.'

broodylicious · 19/03/2014 22:18

Defo a twat, misery. So friggin thoughtless. She had a blazing row with me once because I own a share (like minuscule share) in a racehorse and she told me I am too rich and should be putting my money in savings and that all racehorse owners are up their own arses. Firstly, I am defo not rich at all, very skint, but it's my hard earned cash, secondly errrr none of your business how I spend it. What a cow bag AngryAngry (horse is pretty crap now, btw, getting on a bit so won't tip him, lol!)

sebsmummy1 · 19/03/2014 22:19

Omg girls my nipples have gone mad!! All my milk ducts have come out again and they are stinging. I can see all white dots all over them and I think if I squeezed them they'd bloody leak. That's got to be a preggo symptom or else my hormones are up shit creek!!

sebsmummy1 · 19/03/2014 22:24

Broody did you text back? She sounds like one of those passive aggressive bitches who know exactly what they are saying to twist the knife, but to an innocent bystander they sound very reasonable.

All I will say is let's hope she never has to experience a mc herself or the loss of a lived one. Grief has a way if focusing the mind on what's important and makes you grow up very quickly.

Hugs to you xx

EnglishGirlAbroad · 19/03/2014 22:54

Crikey! You're been hit from all angles Broody. What a thoughtless bitch!!

Parsley2506 · 19/03/2014 22:58

Where's sal? She'd come up with the perfect retort to that ridiculously insensitive text broody. I had a good friend reply to a message I sent her letting her know I was missing an occasion due to my MC with the news of her pregnancy. In her case I think she probably didn't mean to upset but just can't help turning every situation to be about her (lots of previous form).

sebs hurry up Friday! I am pinning all my hopes on you!!

OP posts:
LaceyLee · 19/03/2014 23:00

Agree broody she sounds like an idiot. Good luck sebs, sounds like that could be a symptom, really hope so Smile

miserywaterfall · 19/03/2014 23:07

sebs Eeeeep, that definitely sounds positive Grin excited for you!

Sal1977 · 19/03/2014 23:09

Parsley whatever do you mean????

I'd probably just say "Oh how wonderful" then whisper cunt afterwards

Penguin13 · 19/03/2014 23:17

Sal that sounds like the perfect response to me mainly the crossed out bit

Ooh sebs how exciting. Fx for Friday if you can hold out that long

Sal1977 · 19/03/2014 23:46

Actually, I was probably just showing off then. I'd probably just whisper the C word. Repeatedly.

sebsmummy1 · 20/03/2014 06:36

I tested this morn and it was BFN, yesterday was an evap Sad

I have no explanation for my other symptoms apart from rogue hormones. Obviously hoping it's just too early but I'm not sure. Fucking bastarding pregnancy tests. They can never just give is the answer we want can they. Always messing about.

Good luck girls who are testing on Friday, huge fingers crossed for you xxx

EnglishGirlAbroad · 20/03/2014 06:49

Sorry for the bfn Sebs, hopefully it is just a bit early. Will keep fingers and toes crossed for you.
