The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

Welcome little Echo your need to be here - you'll find lots of support here.... And no sentences beginning with "well at least...." which never end well in my experience!!

I mc last Thursday and in the spirit of poas Friday, I did an ov test today. I'm still bleeding a little but there's been some mucus mixed in with it the last few days so I figured wtf, I'll test.... And the ov line came up mega mega strong way before the control line. Could this be the hcg still in my system and so likely to be false? I'd like to think I'm ov but I need to get af under my belt before ttc again and avoid a Christmas babba

Justonemoretime · 07/03/2014 17:52

Back from Coventry, had my biopsy (two due to thin ish lining - ouch). Saw Prof Jan Brosens. They think quite differently to St Marys up there. Hopefully it will have been worth the month off TTC and the £360. Got progesterone for days 21-28 of cycle for next 3 months, and NO ASPIRIN. He was very clear on that.
Sorry to Triple, Tanny, Tiny and Deus, and anyone else having a crappy time at the moment. Take it easy. x

Penguin13 · 07/03/2014 18:00

Triple I'm so very sorry Sad. Really gutted for you. We're here to talk if and when you need to.

Welcome little. I'm sorry for your loss. You've definitely come to the right place for support from people who understand.

EnglishGirlAbroad · 07/03/2014 18:13

Echoing everything the other lovely ladies on this amazingly supportive thread Little. Really sorry for your loss. People just dont know what to say. I'd rather they just say nothing because unfortunately most things make me want to punch them in the face!!

Glad your appointment went well Just, hope the progesterone does the trick!

EnglishGirlAbroad · 07/03/2014 18:18

Had a friend (the best friend who's due when I would have been) text me today 'I got a weird feeling about you today... is everything ok?' - which is code for are you pregnant yet!! WHAT THE FUCK!! Hate people keep asking and me having to keep saying no Sad. Why cant they just accept that when if do get pregnant I'll let them know when i feel comfortable in telling them.... Which is likely to be at about 6 months gone!!

Metalhead · 07/03/2014 18:40

Welcome little, sorry for your loss. I hope you find the support you need on here.

triple I'm so sorry to hear your bad news. Take care of yourself.

Tea it's 3 weeks since I started to mc and 2.5 since my ercp, so I know I've probably got a good few weeks to wait for AF yet if my pre-mc cycles are anything to go by.

broody I think it's almost certainly the left-over hcg being picked up, I had the same with an opk earlier this week. Try poas again the next couple of days maybe and if you get the same result then I guess that would be your answer (I only ever got a strong +opk for one day).

miserywaterfall · 07/03/2014 18:48

So sorry Triple Sad

And sorry to those with AF!

Glad to have reached the weekend, I intend to do bugger all but mooch about. Anyone have any plans? x

miserywaterfall · 07/03/2014 18:50

Also, bloody hell English tell your friend to leave off with those kinds of texts!!

TeaRex · 07/03/2014 19:10

english god, not sure how you didn't text some sort of abuse back! Sorry for all those getting insensitive comments, kinda glad I've only told 3 people, though even my mum (who had loads of miscarriages herself) threw the odd whopper my way Sad I just hope I never become one of those people who forget and say something like that.

metal my cycles have always been all over the place, longest ones are over 70 days, longest was over 80 :/ so 6 weeks was quite good for me so fx you get AF or a bfp soon :) (just counted, 45 days exactly for my wtf cycle)

Metalhead · 07/03/2014 19:14

Mine have been quite irregular too Tea since I started tracking them about 18 months ago. Usually between 33-36 days, though occasionally have had 40 days, and not to forget my absolute WTF cycle before Xmas when I got my BFP on CD82!! I certainly hope it won't be that long again...

TeaRex · 07/03/2014 19:29

Tell me about it metal you can never plan anything either cause you're bound to have the witch show at the worst moment. Hopefully neither of us will have to worry about it for too long :)

sebsmummy1 · 07/03/2014 19:34

I am DIYing the bathroom this weekend Hmm

My bleeding has finally stopped and have had some watery cm which normally precedes EWCM. Will be interesting to see how this second cycle goes. The follicular phase is definitely going to be longer I think.

Viperama · 07/03/2014 20:11

Welcome little hope your stay here with us is short.

english I don't know what I'd do with a comment like that. The intentional are worse then the unintentional of course. Mate I threw bb shower for two weeks ago text me last week from the park (she's on mat leave due tmrw) saying she was thinking about me and how I'm getting on with TTC. Oh if only she knew! I can handle talking about hers as she's a dear friend and I'm so happy for her, but when she asks me anything I feel dreadful.

Hey ho.

So I'm 4 dpo, I have a spot which I normally get a week b4 AF so I'm a lot less enthusiastic than I was 24 hours ago.

How early does POAS work for BFP? Figure if the witch hasn't shown by the 21st I'll POAS as it'll be cd32....but I'd love to try next week, figure it's way too early at cd25??

sebsmummy1 · 07/03/2014 20:41

Viper I generally have a very faint line at 10dpo and by 11/12 dpo a definite one whilst still faint.

Viperama · 07/03/2014 21:45

Oh sebs so next Friday it just may show up...hmmmmmm ok well maybe I will test then Smile

broodylicious · 07/03/2014 22:21

Oh gawd! Just found out people at my old stables have got completely the wrong end of the stick and think my beautiful toddler has died, rather than me miscarrying her brother or sister! Don't you just love the rumour mill?!

TeaRex · 08/03/2014 06:46

Ohbroody that must've been a shock. Hope it's all cleared up now. I was in hospital once, problem with my neck, came back to work and found out people thought I had meningitis.

Hope everyone's got a nice weekend planned nice weather round here apparently so hopefully can get out and go on a nice long walk, not had any chocolate or alcohol either since last Saturday so feel pleased with myself. How's everyone else's diets/exercise plans going? I need to get back into doing my DVDs 3/4 times a week instead of one :/ I hate exercise lol anyone got any recommendations?

Metalhead · 08/03/2014 07:45

Morning all, happy weekend! Smile

Well done Tea, I fell off the diet and booze wagon last night, but then it was Friday. I've started running again, did the c25k last year with DH and have just gone back to it . I've always hated running and been really rubbish at it, but since I've done this programme I absolutely love it! So would definitely recommend giving that a go.

Seasides · 08/03/2014 08:09

Argh, that must have been awful for everyone broody!

Triple - I'm so sorry your instincts were confirmed, it's so sad. Thanks and a hug; look after yourself and I hope your loved ones are looking after you too. xx

Need to get some exercise happening here too - I've been using TTC as an excuse because I read that you shouldn't start anything new, but I think that means running a marathon from scratch, not going for a nice walk! Got some DIY, a bit of work and a tree pruning (!) workshop this weekend - we want to put an apple tree into the garden, but as I can't keep a pot plant alive I figured I should learn about trees...seemed like a good idea at the time of booking anyway. Less so now I have to spend 10am-3pm on a Sunday learning about tree pruning.

Sorry for the slow reply broody been posting on my phone mostly - I've always been freelance since I left uni a couple of years ago. Been lucky enough to have pretty steady work for my magazine, they're great!

sebsmummy1 · 08/03/2014 08:30

Ooooh ooooh ooh , first proper negative hpt YAY. Never thought I'd see the day lol, it was a never ending round if squinters. Plus I'm producing fertile cm so it's all systems Toad in the Fanjita Grin

Triplespin · 08/03/2014 08:57

Thank you everyone for your supporting words. So this will be the 2nd one now over a one year period. I am a bit concerned that it isn't an ectopic (and hence hcg by rising). I don't have any pain at the moment and hoping I get through the weekend and can go to the EPU for a scan on Monday morning. For those who have had it, any advice ad things to watch out for?

Sorry to hear about AFs. It is always depressing but onwards and upwards.

sundance that is very exciting. Did you test again this morning?

Triplespin · 08/03/2014 08:58

sebs great news hopefully you can restart in zest now!!

Seasides · 08/03/2014 09:48

My HCG rose as normal with my ectopic triple - it doubled as it was supposed to, that's why they first thought I wasn't miscarrying 'normally'.

Yes, totally forgot to say exciting sundance! Have you tested again? And well done to your body sebs Smile

sebsmummy1 · 08/03/2014 11:09

Triplespin, my understanding is that it's normally around 6 weeks that you feel pain. I know they talk about shoulder too pain and dark purple 'prune juice' type bleeding.
