Ladies, Fred title says it all; we are the ones who shag as much as our men can cope with in order to get upduffed without the stress of scientific whatnots!

Fred rules (copied from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others.

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit). Or PIATLH (Tea light holder) PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in!

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession.

Contraband = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

juniper go on, unzip those lips, sorry, that sounds mildly rude.
Stupidly, i'm allowing myself to be a bit more optimistic.
michonne I invoke thy lord of sod and hope you get the job, p.s, how good was twd this eve!
ness i'm far more positive about yours than mine. As I lie here, nothing is going on, no strange cramps nothing except insomnia again. I wish I had your balls to do another test too.
I just can't bring myself To see another negative again and admit to myself that I indeed ovulate 10 days too late (that and the chance of fmu has already decreasedas I've gone already)

FurryScoob · 25/02/2014 06:57

This may be a stupid idea but when u ovulate if ur temping ur temp dips after ovulation, at the time of implantation your temp dips as well. If these dips are caused by hormones could they both be the same hormone & there for a late positive opk is picking these up?
Sorry that probably makes no sense at all, I'm still half asleep but just an idea that popped in my head in the middle of the night
Don't want to get your hopes up minion but there's still a chance.

lil1ady · 25/02/2014 08:45

furry temp doesn't necessarily dip at ov or implantation. every woman and every cycle is different so not definitive. also temp dips are to do with estrogen no lh which opks detect.

ness I can't see anything on that one Sad. what I can see seems to be at the edge of the foam bit rather than the test strip. have you done another one this morning yet?

OP posts:
Nessalina · 25/02/2014 08:56

Yep. Done another test under the very specific conditions of the test, i.e. lying in down on flat surface and not picking it up and staring at it, and throwing it away gasp! after 10mins...
Results were inconclusive!! Another test that I can convince myself there is the faintest of lines... I think I'm just going line mental.
incidentally 5mins later I fished it back out of the bin and there was a line but it was fuzzy so pretty sure another evap as they should be quite clear
A clear blue digi is what I need. Clearly.
Also, still having mild cramps a teeny bit of brown discharge tmi sorry! which can either be good or bad at this stage, so I'm going to consider myself currently not pregnant, buy a CB digi, and if no AF in two days, retest.
I'm such a muppet for getting my hopes up with those tests, I was convinced it'd be a good line this morning Sad

lil1ady · 25/02/2014 08:59

ur not out until the witch shows up ness. are u still off tea?

OP posts:
Nessalina · 25/02/2014 09:05

Yeah. On the decaff coffee again.
And the breadsticks are aching.
But it could all just be just my silly head adding to the crazy. Hmm

Nessalina · 25/02/2014 09:08

So... What's everyone else up to today? Smile

Minion · 25/02/2014 09:12

Did you take a pic ness? Let's have a gander at the new test and fuel your crazy!
I'm on standby, so naturally I'm in bed on iPad. May watch last nights OBEM and sob into my pillow.
Such fun!

lil1ady · 25/02/2014 09:23

you lot are a bad influence. I just poas. bfn Sad again Sad I mat join y with obem and sobbing min

I am officially declaring myself out, I reckon I did ov these past few days. Done another opk, naughty I know. Its faint.
Tummy still tender and still peeing loads but...
Yes. I'm out. At least the next two Weeks will be stress free as we were far too exhausted to do it again.

Nessalina · 25/02/2014 09:41

I demand you do a proper POAS tomorrow Min - you can't declare yourself out from a poxy faint OPK, you can get one of them any time of the month!! Feel free to fuel the crazy - here's the latest test. It's like a magic eye picture, I can't see a line, then suddenly - I can! Then I can't decide if it's just a trick of the eyes...
That sucks lil - apologies for bad influence! Where are you in cycle?

Minion · 25/02/2014 09:48

No no nope ness if anything I'll do it Sunday as i'm off on a trip on Thursday so I want to be at home if I do. I've looked at yours and there's a pink Splodge near the bottom but yep, I can sort of see something still. (fingers crossed)

Nessalina · 25/02/2014 09:53

Sunday is aaaages away! Lol.
I'm jealous of your restraint.

Stockhausen · 25/02/2014 09:54

Good luck ladies Thanks

Minion · 25/02/2014 10:17

I'd pee today if I was sure. But after getting two dark lines last week and EWCM, and now it going faint it surely can only mean that my cycle is well off this month. I'm sick of it all to be truthful.
It's so fecking easy for some people.

Nessalina · 25/02/2014 10:28

Tell me about it. I told myself I wouldn't get my hopes up this time round, that I wouldn't even think of myself as pregnant until the 12 week scan had safely passed, but here I go again, getting ahead of myself! Confused
Another of my best pals has just announced she's preggers with her second... Hardly even had to try! And she's got one already! Ah, I love her to bits so I'll let her off, but why is it so damn easy for some people??

Nessalina · 25/02/2014 10:35

Right! We need to get out of mope-mode, I'm bringing down the new fred vibe with my mental Confused
I have allowed myself to cosy up in bed til now, but I'm getting up, going into town and buying a costume for an 80s themed hen night!! Any ideas for me?! Grin

MichonnesSamuraiSword · 25/02/2014 10:49

Hellooo

Well, I thought I'd join in the crazy, I was jealous of all your POAS action so I did one too this morning (I'm on 9-12 DPO) and of course BFN! Knew I wasn't, but with the internet cheapies it's just so easy!

Ness beware of the dye catching around the bit where the foam ends IYSWIM, I had one of those, convinced myself it was positive. It wasn't. The positive line should be higher up I think

Min I envy your self control. It's not over till it's over though, fingers crossed for you.

I made the mistake of watching the last half of OBEM last night. Not good. I managed not to cry by distracting myself during the emotional bits, but it just fuels my fantasy of it being me one day. Can't do that to myself every week, which is a shame cos it's my favourite show!

MichonnesSamuraiSword · 25/02/2014 10:50

Ooh 80s themed hen night is right up my street!

Jumpsuit, massive hoop earrings, legwarmers?

Or you could go all Madonna with a ra-ra skirt and lace fingerless gloves.

Or power dress with massive shoulder pads?

None of these things are easy to buy mind you... good luck!

Minion · 25/02/2014 10:53

Haha I'm still in bed too. But I really must be getting up now. I have to tame the mane to look mildly presentable.
Right, viroids.
New, brighter day.
Dust ourselves down and get back on the horse. So to speak.

MichonnesSamuraiSword · 25/02/2014 11:08

I got out of the shower to discover my darling dog had puked on my bedroom carpet. It was probably because I spent so long in the bathroom messing about with pee sticks. There's my punishment!

Today can only get better after that!!!

I also gave myself a reality check - I was thinking 'Oh it's not fair, all my friends seemed to get pg instantly' then I realized that actually, my best friend and wonder-earth mother to 3 gorgeous little ones actually took many months to conceive, it was probably at least 8 months, then had two mcs before finally conceiving her first. It just seems like it happened so easily for her now, but in fact it didn't.

Same with my sister - she told me it actually took about 8 months for her first BFP, she had a mc, then a chem pg, then conceived her first. Took over a year of trying to conceive her second.

So what we're going through is pretty normal. It just feels excruciating at the time.

Keep smiling Grin

Nessalina · 25/02/2014 11:27

That's the spirit viroids! Grin He he.
I can't promise not to mental, but I'll try at least the happy type of crazy Wink
Your poor pooch Michonne!!
Some excellent ideas, I'm gonna raid Primark I think - they often have some fairly odd stuff in!! Grin

JuniperJones · 25/02/2014 12:46

ness just been past Debenhams and there's a lush jumpsuit in the window. I am too short and round for such things but it is lovely.

Keep those chins up, viroids!

minion I just find it eerie how what you've been saying is how I was thinking before the test. Was it Sunday you'll test again? All things crossed.

lil I am not sure if it's sunk in. It's all a bit weird. I will say that insomnia is very stupid and makes me sad Sad

I am also very tired and have to go to court today for work experience. Not sure I am going to manage to look interested!

Minion · 25/02/2014 12:58

juniper yeah Sunday if I get more cramps. However it'll prob not be necessary as they've completely died down. Back ache still there and one very tender are near right ovary.
So I think I've just had a blip this month.
Was this how you were feeling before yours?

lil1ady · 25/02/2014 13:08
