Ladies, Fred title says it all; we are the ones who shag as much as our men can cope with in order to get upduffed without the stress of scientific whatnots!

Fred rules (copied from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others.

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit). Or PIATLH (Tea light holder) PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in!

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession.

Contraband = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

Off out With SIL BIL and DNs today. This sunshine is amazing!! Tww dragging!

cookielove · 16/03/2014 09:38

Hello all,

minion very relieved about the scan, we literally felt the weight lifting off our shoulders. However we now have genetic counselling on Friday and they are going to give us the odds of having a baby with chromosome problems so we are all nervous again.

something enjoy your day out in the sunshine!

Wilhelminanevillesdottir · 16/03/2014 10:08

Hi Min, it's all a bit quiet on the BFP front. Think we're holding out for an undercover POAS from Lotsa.

Hi lalanic.

Did you have genetic problems before cookie? Obv tell me to bugger off if you don't want to explain again.

I'm off out for lunch and shopping Wine

lil1ady · 16/03/2014 10:29

hi all. I've been mia due to work too which makes a change!

hi to lalanic and lotsa and any other newbies I haven't said hi to yet.

fx for the job mich hope the suspense isn't encroaching on your weekend too much.

on the men and cleaning front I can't complain. dh dusts and Hoovers without being asked all the time. I suppose the only thing he is useless at is the dishes. we have a dishwasher so anything that can't go in it sits on the side for days. usually until I do it or moan about it!

cookie good luck for the councilling appointment. did you ever get the results about which of you were carriers? sorry if you've said but I can't remember.

seems really odd to be twotting already this cycle. but its definitely making the twot go faster. I'd normally only just be about at icing but I'm 5dpo already! downside is the using has stopped :( I think I may have to do something about that laterWink
I am also trying to do more exercise as the nice weather is here. its the only thing we haven't done to aid our ttc efforts and I'm hoping if I do it dh will. so I went for a run yesterday. I say run.I half ran half walked! I hate exercise, but I was really pleased with myself for doing it. now I just need to go shopping and get the healthy eating back on track!

what is everyone up to today? your walk sounds lovely something. dh did the garden yesterday so we are going to sit out and picnic in it today. Grin

wilh our first pregnanncy ended at 8+6 we found out at 12 week scan, the baby had fluid on its neck and abdomen, so when I had my ERPC they genetically tested the baby. The results were the baby died of a missing part of chromosome 1. So dh and I were tested to see if we were carriers. Dh is fine but I have an extra chromosome. Triple x is what it's called, but all tge literature we have read says its not hereditary.

We were basically told that what the baby died from was extremely rare so we are hoping it was just one if those things!

LotsaTuddles · 16/03/2014 10:57

Thanks all. Just sent DH to the shop and a pg test is on his list, so the first chance I get I'll POAS (providing ERTD doesn't come, which is hasn't yet and still no cramps or anything). Trying not to get hopes up yet though.

We're off to PiLs for BBQ this afternoon, just cleaning house from top to bottom in preparation for my mum coming later

DulcetMoans · 16/03/2014 11:13

Fx for the best cookie, you're getting there and hopefully after Friday you will be all clear and you can enjoy it more.

Well done on the run lil. Keeping yourself in the best health is as important as all the other TTC things and makes you feel proactive at least.

Hoping this weather lasts! At least the longer hours if light should make us feel like we have more time to get to JSing! ERTD on the way out here so shagging to begin next week. Haven't made my plan for this month yet but think the cape will be a nice light cotton with blue sky print and a big sunshine where my arse is positioned! Wink

MichonnesSamuraiSword · 16/03/2014 11:13

Happy Sunday Virioids

No news from me, I am indeed spending the weekend obsessing about whether I got the job or not, going over and over the interview in my head. I found out who the other candidate was (there was only one other interviewed), and I've heard quite a few negative reports about her being a little odd... so if I don't get the job over her, I must have been VERY bad!!

It really has helped me chill out about ttc though, I keep thinking it's no big deal if I don't get pg for a few months, so it's nice to feel relaxed about it.

Cookie I'll be thinking of you ahead of your appointment, fingers firmly crossed for you. The odds really are in your favour if the condition isn't hereditary (argh, not trying to quote The Hunger Games there!)

Welcome Lalanic tell us something about yourself. This is a lovely thread full of lovely people, you should like it here.

Good luck Lotsa fingers crossed for you!

MichonnesSamuraiSword · 16/03/2014 11:25

Grin I like the sound of that cape Dulcet!

I've gone from obsessively planning when to JS, based on counting DPO and estimating icing to..... doing nothing. I'm still temping, but I'm just not thinking any further about it. It's quite nice to have a mental break from it all - because of the job application I've been sort of in limbo. If I get the job, then I'll stay 'blase' about ttc for a couple of months at least. If I don't get it, then I'll be hopping straight back on the obsessive wagon, cape around my shoulders and bbt in one hand like a wand!

My weekend has been nice so far - I took my DNs out for 'adventures' in the sun with my doggies yesterday. We got muddy, played in the river (Clumsy DN ended up with wellies full of water, naturally), saw Llamas and a Pig, had a few tantrums due to wet wellies, but ended up with a picnic on the riverbank. Happy Day. My DNs are going through a hard time at the moment, as their parents are splitting up and they just moved out of their Daddies house last week, so its nice to be able to give them some fun and happy memories. Love them so much my heart could burst.

Wilhelminanevillesdottir · 16/03/2014 16:26

oh Lil half your luck having a domesticated other half. I have come back to a bombsite. I even emptied the dishwasher before I left so that anything dirty could be put into it. But no, it is dotted around various rooms of the house.

Ah I see cookie. I am sure all the odds are in your favour, especially as everything went well at the scan. Fx for good news.

I need to buy some tests as the midwife said I had to POAS tomorrow to check everything was done with. That'll be fairly depressing. Also have to cancel booking app. I need to take a leaf out of your book Mich and just chill out for the next month.

somethingwittynot · 16/03/2014 16:29

Had such a lovely day all the children playing together in the sunshine.

4 or 5 dpo here. Hungry tired snappy and some weird fluttery feeling in my stomach about three times yesterday. Odd. Or probably wind.

RPopz · 16/03/2014 16:39

Just been on a dog walk with pupster and the cocker spaniel club and then eaten a massive roast Grin Weather is amazing.

Had a humongous barney with DH last night so, yeah. That's not good.

FX for you cookie. X

Wil that does sound crappy. Couldn't they even give you a dipstick you dont have to buy one??

Fx something! Heading for TWOT here. Got a good feeling about this month though. X

lalanic · 16/03/2014 16:45

Thanks for the warm welcome ladies!

Let's see - 33, ttc since July 2013,sick to death of worrying about 'right' days so have decided to just get on with it every 2 days and get lucky! Drinking wine often to settle the nerves. Currently 8 days late but poas says nothing happening so I'm continuing to get on with my life until otherwise and determined not to obsess. Had some positive symptoms earlier this week but they've gone again, so I'm determined to stop symptom spotting!

Husband completely mystified by whole thing, just loves that suddenly I'm keen!

Mum to 2 ginger furballs and a prima donna pony.

Otherwise it's just nice to find a place where people seem to have same attitude. I like plain speaking :)

Amazing day today - went for lunch with my (newly pregnant) friend then read glamour in the garden. Rock n roll!

Lovely to meet you all x

RPopz · 16/03/2014 16:48

Oops sorry, knew I'd miss someone! Hi Ialanic :-)

somethingwittynot · 16/03/2014 16:54

Welocome lalanic :)

I to feel weirdly positive. Just getting my hopes up i know. Then you can all console me when ERTD comes!

somethingwittynot · 16/03/2014 16:54

*welcome. Stupid phone.

RPopz · 16/03/2014 17:05

Yeah I know what you mean something. Further to fall and all that. Though I've tried pessimism and that didn't work so this is worth a shot!

Wilhelminanevillesdottir · 16/03/2014 17:07

Dunno RPopz. Noone has asked to seem me at any stage. She just kind of suggested I get on with it myself. I'll just get the 2 for £3.50 ones in Tesco.

Ooh Something I had fluttery tummy when I was upduffed. Fuelling the mental There is definitely something to be said for feeling positive. I totally believe in gut feelings where pregnancy is involved.

That's a pain to be 8 days late Lala. Your husband sounds like my partner.

lalanic · 16/03/2014 18:07

Pain yes wilh he means well but spent the afternoon sitting in chair in sun looking at his phone whilst I pinned washing out on the line around me. Just finished last bit, cue offer of 'can I help?'

something feeling positive is good, I had gut feeling but the longer I'm overdue the more I think it's in my head. Lots to go on if symptom spotting, but could also be my mind hence I'm on this thread! Going to brave it out another few days before any further poas.

cookie sending lots of positivity your way, hope your counselling session is ok and that you get to start to relax and start to enjoy being pg x

LotsaTuddles · 16/03/2014 18:36

ERTD still hasn't come and was due yesterday. Shall I bite the bullet and POAS tomorrow? Or wait a few more days? I'm normally regular as clockwork.

RPopz · 16/03/2014 19:08

I'd be tempted to wait til you're a few days late. But then I'm never clockwork!

somethingwittynot · 16/03/2014 20:13

I just feel its toooo early to notice any changes but I suppose im more in tune with my body now im ttc

lil1ady · 16/03/2014 23:16

Haha! when your ttc everything is a symptom something!

OP posts:
LotsaTuddles · 17/03/2014 06:26

I agree lil1ady.

Still no ERTD, but I couldn't POAS today due to my stupidity at 4 o'clock this morning when I went for a wee without thinking about it or anything.

Wilhelminanevillesdottir · 17/03/2014 07:01

I never worry about whether it is first pee of the day Lotsa. Although I still would probably try to hold out for a day or two.
I want to go and get POAS over with but don't want to wake the toddler by using the bathroom. No bloody need for me to wake up at 6.30 grr.
