Ladies, Fred title says it all; we are the ones who shag as much as our men can cope with in order to get upduffed without the stress of scientific whatnots!

Fred rules (copied from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others.

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit). Or PIATLH (Tea light holder) PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in!

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession.

Contraband = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

It does make me realise how lucky I am when I hear other peoples stories but im so glad you have found 'the' one and I hope you all get your happy ending.

I met DP when I was 17 and fell pregnant very quickly ( unplanned) realised it was what we both wanted and havent spent a day apart ( apart from hospital stays) apart!

somethingwittynot · 13/03/2014 18:24

Congrats cookie hope you have a healthy pregnancy

ZylaB · 13/03/2014 18:30

I'm with you on most of that Michonne except for the vasectomy thing! glad it got reversed ok! And this is about my third post on here, so I'm hoping to avoid being told I shouldn't be on mumsnet until I'm a mum! Often wish I'd had kids younger, but we have to look at it this way - if we had, it wouldn't have been with the right man, the one we're with now (but not in a Mormon kinda way, just realised that sounds a bit like we're sharing!) Grin

RPopz · 13/03/2014 18:33

Good luck with the cramming Mich! Did you get your outfit sorted?

Wilhelminanevillesdottir · 13/03/2014 19:09

cookie brilliant news, am thrilled for you.

rpopz that was exactly what I thought. I remember the days of 3 times a night! I'd rather have a cuppa these days Grin

Hi zyla. You're not ancient. I'm mid thirties too. Welcome.

As for stupid remarks on Mumsnet - I don't venture out of here. Good things can never come from so many people oversharing their opinions in the same place.

lil1ady · 13/03/2014 19:26

I think I'm quite behind!

firstly sorry to hear your sad news wil I hope you got through work OK today. Thanks
cookie I'm so pleased it went well for you today. hopefully now you can relax a bit and enjoy the pregnancy. I hope things are going well with your dh.

red sorry to hear about your furbaby. I don't have cats but my mums cat is like my own and I'll be gutted when she goes. Thanks Glad to know you are feeling positive on the ivf front. time off for r&r sounds like a good plan! fx this is the one!

hi to the newbies zyla and something. well newbie and oldie meant in the nicest possible way Grin
3rd kid at 20! omg! I admire you, there's no way I would have coped with an unplanned pg as a teen. even at 25!!

so true though. you spend your life avoiding getting pg only to not get pg! it sucks. dh is in a fowl mood about it all this week. and now I am because we've just spent £100 on a months worth of 3types of supplements! mad or what or desperate

mich I hope your boots came. gl for tomorrow. I'm sure you'll bowl them over.

well I survived looking after dn (if that isn't an abb it is now and means dear nephew!) just about! and then had to look after him again at my mums this evening as she had to go to a school thing with my younger brother. I would have coped better if he hasn't kept calling me mum! he can say my name ffs!

anyway. time for a cuppa and catch up with TV. hope I haven't missed anyone

somethingwittynot · 13/03/2014 19:50

3 kids at 20 is quite mad isnt it?! Haha decided to get all the nappies and no sleep out of the way all together. Once they are old enough to fend for themselves I will be mid 30s. Perfect.

somethingwittynot · 13/03/2014 19:51

Ill be 21 or older whenever no.3 comes though!

lil1ady · 13/03/2014 19:57

21 something! ;p that's so old Grin

aylesburyduck · 13/03/2014 19:57

Hello my gorgeous girls. sending hugs to all of you and extra big hugs to those who are having a shitty week red & wil I am so sorry for your news. Sad

xx

somethingwittynot · 13/03/2014 19:59

Haha. Forgot what it was like to be the baby of a fred

Nessalina · 13/03/2014 20:46

Great news duck! Grin Ooh there's nothing like a move, it's just so exciting!
Good luck for tomorrow Mich - you'll smash it!!

Wilhelminanevillesdottir · 13/03/2014 20:50

omg Aylesbury that's mega exciting. Congrats.

Thanks to everyone saying nice things. It's been so good having you bunch to talk to seeing as I haven't spoken to anyone about it in RL (apart from DP). I'm actually feeling ok about things.

I could barely look after myself at 21, never mind 3 kids! you're right though something, your 30s will be awesome. And your body will just magically spring back into shape!

That's sweet about your nephew Lil - it's just because he loves you so much!

Wilhelminanevillesdottir · 13/03/2014 20:51

Oh yeah, good luck Mich. Positive thinking coming your way.

MichonnesSamuraiSword · 13/03/2014 21:38

Thanks for the good luck wishes everyone - still cramming, panicking slightly, trying to learn everything about everything which is total overkill I know. But my boots did come today, hooray! I'm wearing them now, they're going to be my kick-ass boots! Got an outfit sorted, thanks everyone for caring about my really petty issues! You can either celebrate or commiserate with me tomorrow.

Great news Ayles how exciting!

I'm an ancient 35 going on 36. Funny how when my best friend, same age as me, pops her 3rd child, or another friend 2 years older than me has her second nobody bats an eyelid... but when you're childless at this age, you just feel ancient!!

Lil My DNs call me Mum or even Granny all the time, it just pops out of their mouths, bless them. We always have a giggle about it when I go "DO I LOOK LIKE YOUR GRANNY!" which they think is hilarious.

As for furbabies... I am literally in love with my dog. I have 2 dogs, one of which is DPs - I love her too, but not like I love my boy. Last year he nearly died from a serious illness, I was in bits. I now worry constantly about him, and force him to let me cuddle him all the time even though he doesn't like it and I kiss him on the nose and don't care

RPopz · 13/03/2014 22:02

That made me laugh Mich, I am in love with my puppy too! I kiss him on the nose and let him lick my face even though I always said I never would... DH doesn't get a look in nowadays Grin

Good luck tomorrow!

lil1ady · 13/03/2014 22:25

wil I think it has more to do with mW giving him chocolate. or choc-o-lit as he calls it!

mich go rock those kick ass boots! we'll have the Wine and Biscuit ready either way!

ayles that's great news about your move. you watch you'll get your bfp now. they say things come in 3s!

I'm so tired I've forgotten what I've read! so I may post again in a minute when I reread and see I forgot someone....sorry if I have!Blush

Redshoes56 · 14/03/2014 01:07

Good luck tomorrow mich! It sounds like, with those boots on, you can accomplish anything. I'll have my fingers crossed for you!

cookie that's such a great update - end of September will be here before you know it! I am so, so happy for you. Ayles awesome news on your end, too!

lil I hear you on the $$ supplements. I am now taking my prenatal vit, DHEA, CoQ10 (SUPER expensive), royal jelly (which tastes disgusting, but the acupuncturist highly recommended) and spirulina (which smells disgusting, but again -- recommended to balance my Qi or whatever the hell else he said). This is all on top of the metformin for my insulin resistance and the estrogen tablets I started last night to prime me for the IVF cycle. I'm like a 90 year old or a drug addict. I need a snazzy pill case.

You guys have been so sweet re: my kitty. Some people just don't understand how important furbabies are. Last night when we got home, we saw we had gotten mail from the emergency animal hospital. It was a sympathy card from the two vets who were with him right up til the end, and they enclosed a card with his paw prints. TEARS!!!! That was very thoughtful. I've printed out a lovely picture of him and will put that and the prints in a nice frame.

What's going on this weekend, gals? Anything exciting?

somethingwittynot · 14/03/2014 07:52

Just checked the bank to find more money than expected so thats a great start to today. Were visiting family at the weekend so nothing to special here!

Good luck to everyone with important things coming up!

lil1ady · 14/03/2014 08:43

today its not fb baby scans grinding on me. its birthday posts. I understand you're emotional that your oldest child is 7 already but seriously 1post would be enough, 5 is overkill, and the baby pictures is just attention seeking. and really annoying!
on the plus side I timed the bread maker last night and we now have fresh raisin bread for breakfast. smells delicious!

OP posts:
Wilhelminanevillesdottir · 14/03/2014 09:01

What about the pregnancy progress updates? 'Your baby is 27 weeks and looks like this' yadda yadda yadda. There's an 'only me' option on fb for a reason. It's lovely to find out how your baby is developing. Don't think the whole of fb needs to know though. not bitter

Red that was so nice of the vets. How thoughtful.

We normally go swimming on a Friday but that's out for this week for obvious reasons so hopefully seeing a friend later. Will probably tell her what's going on as I know she has been through it a couple of times. Plus she keeps asking me if I'm pregnant yet. Then meeting another friend for lunch on Sunday which will be nice to get out on my own for a few hours.

ERTD is due at the weekend. We DTD every day of ovulation, apart from the day before I think

RPopz · 14/03/2014 11:16

On the plus side.... HOW WARM AND SUNNY IS IT TODAY!?

somethingwittynot · 14/03/2014 14:39

Anyone due ertd around the 23rd? A few months ago I was 4 days late so im going to try and wait till im very late to test just incase. Thats if im late at all! Judging by the cramps I had I think im about 2dpo

lil1ady · 14/03/2014 19:22

27th for me something I'm 3dpo. just a QN, if ur 2dpo isn't 23rd too early....that would be an 11day leutal phase.
