Ladies, Fred title says it all; we are the ones who shag as much as our men can cope with in order to get upduffed without the stress of scientific whatnots!

Fred rules (copied from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others.

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit). Or PIATLH (Tea light holder) PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in!

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession.

Contraband = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture!

Yeah you're right RPopz. I am very probably being a tad sensitive. I'd like to just try straight away. Don't want a massive gap between children if possible.
Hi Somethingwitty. Happy shagging!

ohfourfoxache · 12/03/2014 18:52

Wil I'm so sorry Sad The midwife sounds pretty shitty tbh - and not exactly professional. It doesn't matter how "early" it is, it doesn't make it hurt any less Hmm

Red - sending hugs darling Sad You gave your puss cat a wonderful life, and Min is right - he'll be doped up to the eyeballs on kitty-nip! I've got 2 cubs who I love with all my heart - they really are our "family". Be kind to yourself, there is no such thing as "just a cat" x

somethingwittynot · 12/03/2014 18:57

Thanks for the welcome for the ones that dont know im where 'shagging like something' came from Grin

Minion · 12/03/2014 19:09

Oh wil my love! welcome back but I'm so sorry we have to see you here. Lots of hugs and baileys sent to you. Just take your time with it all and ignore the midwife, she's clearly a dick!

Hi something welcome back!

somethingwittynot · 12/03/2014 19:28

Thanks minion I have DS1 2 years 1 month and DS 2 13 months. Were hoping for a girl as this will be our last!

DulcetMoans · 12/03/2014 19:34

Hi something! An alumni and returner, that's exciting!!

What's irs saz? I feel like I should know. Is it horse racing? I like a scratch card, that's as exciting as my gambling gets.

I'm in bed, feel like shit. Need feeling shit since yesterday. If I was currently experiencing ERTD (started yesterday afternoon) I would be symptom spotting like no ones business - nausea, sore throat, headache, cramps. Luckily DH is a sweetie and looking after me.

RPopz · 12/03/2014 19:55

I thought irs was a typo for its!! (?)

DulcetMoans · 12/03/2014 19:58

So did I but then I wasn't sure what it was still. What event?! I'm very nosey!

ZingSweetMango · 12/03/2014 20:46

Wil

sorry to hearSad Thanks

about next period - it's kind of hard to tell as it takes a bit of time for pg hormones to leave your body and that's different for everyone.

I seem to remember being told to expect a period around 4-6 weeks, and also it is not unusual for them to be weird/erratic/heavier or lighter than usual for first 6 months.

any bright red bleeding should be noted and if significant amount or big clots before 4 weeks you might just want to check with a GP that they are not connected to MC.

so sorry

ZingSweetMango · 12/03/2014 20:47

red

sorry about your cat Sad

JuniperJones · 12/03/2014 21:08

red I'm really sorry about your cat. Sad Really glad you're feeling good for the next IVF, take it as easy as you can.

wil really sorry about mc too, so sad.

Big hugs for anyone struck down by ERTD or general moopishness.

xxx

Wilhelminanevillesdottir · 12/03/2014 21:25

Thanks all. God I wish it didn't have to bloomin' hurt so much. Work tomorrow is not going to be fun if this keeps up. Thanks Zing, that's useful to know. V glad now we didn't tell anyone.

Is the IRS thing Rugby? Are you from Ireland Saz?

RPopz · 12/03/2014 21:31

D'you have to go back tomorrow Wil? Think I'd be moping around for a few more days yet. X

RPopz · 12/03/2014 21:32

But then moping doesn't solve anything does it! (Sorry just heard my mother in my head as i typed previous post!!)

ZingSweetMango · 12/03/2014 21:32

Wil

are you in physical pain? if you are you should really rest tomorrow.
can you avoid going to work?

if you have a tender tummy or fever you should be checked out soon

Nessalina · 12/03/2014 21:32

Surely you can self cert off sick for a week Wil! At least for another day. You must give your body time to recover if you can SadThanks

ZingSweetMango · 12/03/2014 21:34

and even if no physical pain your body is in shock and you are bound to be emotional.

Please try and stay home and take it easy at least till Monday, if at all possible. Thanks

RPopz · 12/03/2014 21:35

^ These are the sensible things I meant to say Thanks

Welcome back something you can be another resident expert who can help us all obsess learn about symptoms and not go crazy!

Just had a phonecall from one of my oldest friends. She knows all about my ttc issues, and she said "I've been wanting to call you for ages, but didn't want to because I don't want to put pressure on you asking are you pregnant yet" Sad I told her not to be silly, I don't mind her asking. Isn't it sad that my ttc issues are getting in the way of catching up with my friend.

She also told me she was worried because she's got some friends coming to stay with her soon, one couple have been ttc for years and gone through several rounds of failed IVF, and the other couple are newly pregnant. She's worried it will be awkward - so I told her my favourite saying on here - babies aren't rationed, just because one friend is pg doesn't mean the other friend can't be.

It's hard when ttc or infertility sort of defines who you are eh?

MichonnesSamuraiSword · 12/03/2014 21:40

Sorry X posted with you all there.

Wil I hope you can have a couple more days off and go back on Monday. Even if you're not in pain, and feel ok... take some days for you, to look after yourself.

ZingSweetMango · 12/03/2014 21:44

Mich

none for me, thanks, but DH would!
Wink

Wilhelminanevillesdottir · 12/03/2014 21:44

Haha

RPopz · 12/03/2014 21:48

I probably would too Mich. I don't even know how its managed to stay in your fridge all that time.... if we have stilton on the go I can't leave it alone!! Blush

MichonnesSamuraiSword · 12/03/2014 21:50

Oh and I forgot to say - the midwife was a cowbag for saying that. Doesn't matter how early it was, it's the psychological blow.

My Mum keeps saying to me "well we didn't have home pregnancy tests in my day, so if we did have an early mc we wouldn't have known about it".. but you would still know your period was late, so you would still have had an inkling and got your hopes up.
