Ladies, Fred title says it all; we are the ones who shag as much as our men can cope with in order to get upduffed without the stress of scientific whatnots!

Fred rules (copied from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others.

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit). Or PIATLH (Tea light holder) PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in!

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession.

Contraband = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

I'm also in awe of Minion's resolve not to POAS. I pee on everything stick like from around 10DPO onwards....

I'm not going to trust my Dog's pregnancy detecting powers any more, he was wrong last time, perhaps he was just being an attention seeking pudding after all.

FurryScoob · 06/03/2014 06:55

Sorry,been missing for a while.
Been in the dark ages with no Internet!

Congratulation wil

POAS this morning & got a BFP!!!!!!!!
I can't stop shaking.

This tread is a lucky 1, keep shagging!!!!!!!
& use preseed

Minion · 06/03/2014 07:13

furry woohooooo! Brill news. So, to business... Symptoms etc etc, go on...

You know you want to... Bwahaha.

No poa anything here this week viroids, it would be a pointless task. I can feel the incoming tip toeing of the evil hag.
But I promise, if she's not here by Monday. I'll do a live peeathon.

Nessalina · 06/03/2014 07:25

Yay Scoob! Grin Congratulations! We are definitely on a roll! When are you due?

MichonnesSamuraiSword · 06/03/2014 07:33

Congratulations scoob!!!

I concur with Minion, it's your duty to tell us all of your symptoms both pre and post BFP so that we can add them to our list of things to drive ourselves crazy with!

Tell me more about pre seed, did you just pop some in before doing the deed? Did your DH know about it? I think I might invest in some, but don't want DP to know about it, so could I get away with surreptitiously pre seeding in the bathroom before going to bed?

min you really are very strong! I really hope those feelings that the witch is coming, are in fact something else. There have been a few ladies on this thread who said they felt very periody before betting their BFP

My fingers are still firmly crossed for you.

FurryScoob · 06/03/2014 07:37

min unless you are completely sure your out don't give up hope. I've felt like ERTD is about to start for the last few days, I'm still getting cramps.

ness 12th November I think. It doesn't seem real, I keep checking the test expecting 'no' to have come up!

Only symptom I've had is sore nipples in the evening, & I've gone off chocolate!

I really really recommend preseed, DP's not bothered about itchy bollocks now, it's the only thing we've done differently

Nessalina · 06/03/2014 07:40

Lol, i forgot about his itchy bollocks Grin Well worth it!
Obviously I don't want to tempt you away from the viroids (I'm still hanging about!) but there's a nice Nov ante natal thread started where we're all POA multiple sticks and being mental Smile

FurryScoob · 06/03/2014 07:41

mich you could put a small bit in without DP knowing but I think you have to use more to have any effect.
We've used small amounts in the past but I shoved loads in using the applicators this month, It's not very romantic so I recommend putting it in before!

Minion · 06/03/2014 08:34

furry funny you should say about the evening nipplage... That's me too. You're not tired, sick etc?

It's funny when you read about how women felt when they find out, the amount who said they were exhausted, nauseous etc, but then some have nothing. You'd think it'd be a one size fits all scenario really, as most illnesses are... (Even though it's not an illness, tho I still fully intend to be THAT woman who holds her back and grimaces when she sits down, even at just 3 months)!

I'm just not feeling confident. Aside from the fact my breadsticks haven't doubled in size and I'm not 4-boobing it, it seems just like pms.
Husband did comment this morning about them getting wider tho! Thankful he wasn't talking about my arse.

DulcetMoans · 06/03/2014 09:41

Congrats scoob! We needed another one to keep the faith. Get a digi test, see it in writing! How did you tell DP?

I will stay strong with you min, you will not POAS until Monday! And you will need to POAS a stick then too cos ERTD won't have shown up... Wink I'm due today technically so I will wait it out with you, how about that? If nothing by Monday we synchro pee?!

Minion · 06/03/2014 09:52

Deal dulcet. I'm not allowing myself to get carried away this month. How do you feel? Like ERTD is round the corner?

DulcetMoans · 06/03/2014 10:35

Not sure at the moment min. I know better than to get my hopes up by now but theres always a little bit of perhaps, maybe we did it this time?! We didn't DTD lots but when we did I think it was well timed so it is possible. Not feeling much though, i'm tired but thats normal and I am eating lots/weighing too much which is usual too. Not feeling much physically though.

Anyone else think Monday could be a good pee day?? Not sure how many are on a similar cycle to me. You all seem to POAS at the opposite end of the month to me!

lil1ady · 06/03/2014 10:45

Congrats furryscoob

So how many bfps is that for this thread now? 3?

How exciting another potential synchro pee is on the cards duclet and minion fx for you both

Well we had our phone call from the doctor this morning. This time DHs results were
Count 88m vs 60m last time
Morphology 5% vs 4% last time
Motility 20% vs 3% last time

So motility has improved alot really which is good. still not a good result, but feeling confident that the fertilaid pills he started after the last results are doing something.

And I finally got some input on my results. They also tested my AMH which is to test for ovarian reserve. I'm on the top end of the range at 40, so apparently I have a good reserve. Didn't get the progesterone numbers but she said they show I'm ovulating.

And the good news is Dr is going to make the referral. There is still a chance the clinic could come back and say we have to wait until the 2 year mark, but at least its something. Now we have to wait up to 4 weeks to hear about the referral, and could be months before we are seen. In the meantime DH is going to continue with the fertilaid, we're carrying on with the presseed, especially after furry's success and I may have to continue with a little contraband fertility monitor so we get optimal timing to give the poor fellas a chance, please don't kick me out!

FWIW my DH quite likes the preseed. Says it feels "nice" Grin I use 4g with the applicator when we decide to dtd. It says to use 15 mins before. I always lie on the bed or wherever Grin to use it because I worry gravity won't help it do it's job!

OP posts:
lil1ady · 06/03/2014 10:46

Sorry dulcet i've only just kicked the witch out. And with my long cycles it could be another 2-3 weeks before I hit icing yet!

MichonnesSamuraiSword · 06/03/2014 17:30

Lil That's fantastic that there's been an improvement with the SA.

Just goes to show that a poor sa result isn't the be all and end all. Keep feeding him fish, brazil nuts (selenium is good for them), avocado, red meat.... keep his bits from getting too hot, loose undies, no hot baths. It will all help.

I'm tempted to give pre-seed a try. Will leave it for this month, then give it a try after that I think.

I'm still hosting the witch... so I'm a bit behind you all, but cheering you on from here!

ohfourfoxache · 06/03/2014 18:27

Fuck it, may I join you?

Name: ohfourfoxache
Age: 31
Dc: 2 cats
Ttc: came off pill December 2011. Not used any contraception since. ? M/c, erm, well now.

I bought a pack of OPKs but I'm loathe to use them. I do not want to become obsessed with this, so I'm glad you hand out hooyas! Grin

Wilhelminanevillesdottir · 06/03/2014 19:17

Welcome fox. There may not be much contraband going on but I wouldn't count on us not being obsessed... Blush

Lil that sounds like a great improvement with the sperm - obviously doing something right. Better results than you thought no?

Congratulations Furryscoob!!! Brilliant news - you can now start obsessing about not having enough symptoms like me!

Dulcet and Minion - I definitely just felt like ERTD was coming (not trying to fuel the symptom spotting). Felt pretty much exactly like I had felt the previous month. So it ain't over until the witch arrives.

lil1ady · 06/03/2014 21:20

yep 3% to 20% is much better than I thought. so he is definitely staying on the food/vitamin track. I may have possibly replaced his coffee with decaff and not told him. Grin its for his own good!

OP posts:
Spotti · 07/03/2014 07:33

lil if he's not noticed then he doesn't need to know!

ohfourfoxache · 07/03/2014 07:51

Bloody hell, 3% to 20% is brilliant! That's fantastic news lil1ady

Where are you being referred to?

lil1ady · 07/03/2014 08:45

Yeah its quite a jump. and it can only be the fertilaid. he's been taking the normal ones and the motility ones. I'm considering getting him the morphology ones now. but need to have that conversation with him. he's very open minded and I know I'm very lucky in that regard. even tho I have to resort to caffeine trickery!

as for referral she didn't actually say but the research I've done suggests the clinic is in our local hospital. so busy traffic and a nightmare to park!

OP posts:
ohfourfoxache · 07/03/2014 09:07

You've got a choice as to where you go - normally at least 3 providers but should be 5......NHS policy.......

Wilhelminanevillesdottir · 07/03/2014 11:31

Haha good work Lil.

MichonnesSamuraiSword · 07/03/2014 11:47

Welcome Fox we're a friendly bunch here. Resist the OPKs if you can, but we won't blame you if you dabble a little. I have been temping for scientific purposes only not obsessing. not obsessing. not obsessing and it is interesting, but definitely not something I'd want to be doing every month.

Lil can you tell me more about fertilaid? DP might benefit from a little help, he had a vas reversal, and had 'fantastic results' (the surgeons words.. I'm still beaming!) but there's always room for improvement so perhaps some supplements could help.

And remember, it takes 3 months for the sperm that are made in the testes to reach ejaculation (sorry for grim technical terms... I could say the sperm made in the factory to make a bid for freedom!). So you won't see the results of any improvements you make now until 3 months down the line. So don't get disheartened, it's likely that the sperm is still improving from all your efforts and could already be better than the SA result you had.

I'm having a challenging day - let's just say that I have a few family issues which have made life very difficult for the last few months, and today is shaping up to be one of those difficult ones... so I could do with cheering up. Blargh.. at least the weekend is nearly here.

DulcetMoans · 07/03/2014 12:52

Excellent result lil, keep him at it!

Just found out someone at work is pregnant. I am normally pretty good with the announcements, don't let it bother me, but this one has annoyed me a little. Probably partly because I don't like her much... But I will, of course, smile and be happy!

Right, lets cheer mich up. Anyone done anything stupid today? My DH dropped dinner on the floor last night. Mess everywhere... Luckily we didn't fight about it and just laughed - could have gone either way!
