Ladies, Fred title says it all; we are the ones who shag as much as our men can cope with in order to get upduffed without the stress of scientific whatnots!

Fred rules (copied from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others.

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit). Or PIATLH (Tea light holder) PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in!

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession.

Contraband = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

Minion · 02/03/2014 10:43

So I caved.
Bfn. Have no clue what the deal is.
Right, diagnose me pls cause Dr goofle is saying upduffage.
Week before ov, light opk(neg), slight cramping, increased drive.
14th supposed ov date. Light opk. Felt the familiar twinges and pulsing when out, thought I'd covered it.
Fast forward into the twot.
No sore breadsticks which usually start 3dpo.
Then really bad poking feeling on the Friday after. Ewcm the sat, with dark opk, so assumed, right i'm a week late.
Didn't bother to cover my base as both of us mega tired.
Assume by now I'd get pms.
Nope.
Just a few short sharp shocks in nips, extremely full feeling down there. Tingly 'bits'. Can almost feel my ovary.
Bfn.

Clues?

Hellooo

First off welcome Righteous - baby#3 blimey you're brave! Given that you have some experience of being preggo, perhaps you can help us all with our symptom spotting! You can be our resident expert Grin

Wil congratulations!!! Just goes to show, it aint over till the fat lady sings (or something like that)

Minion... assuming you did ov on the 14th, that makes you 16DPO right? Lots of people don't get their BFP for quite a while after ERTD is expected.

As for me... weeeeellll, I had 2 poss ov dates according to my temping, EWCM and general icing feelings, so I'm either 14-17DPO now... and no ERTD. I've had cramping, and clear EWCM. My cycles are usually shorter... never longer than 28 days.....

So I tested - BFN of course. Min my cycle buddy, I'm in the same boat as you love.

Oh and I'm half-hoping I am preggo (naturally) but half thinking this might not be the best month for me. I have a job interview in two weeks for a job I've been wanting for years. If I'm preggo it will really mess with my head!

Spotti · 02/03/2014 11:13

I'm no Dr Goofle (who, FYI, knows everything :p) but to me that sounds like you might be preggers! Strange how you're not getting a positive result on your hpt though - is it an IC or something like a frer or cb digi? If it's a cheapie I'd be tempted to use a better one, but if you've already done that then maybe a visit to a real doctor (sorry Dr Goofle!) might give you insight as to what's going on...

Just out of curiosity, where abouts would you feel your ovary? I'm guessing sort of kidney-ish area (perhaps a bit lower, like the place you get most AF cramps) but just wanted to ask as I keep feeling stabbing sensations in that sort of area :-/. I could just be imagining it though this TTC malarkey is sending me bonkers

Woo for Willhelmina!

DulcetMoans · 02/03/2014 11:28

I feel my ovaries most months, never been on pill or anything so pretty attuned to my body. I sometimes feel it in the back around kidney area but more often it's just in a bit from top of hip, maybe could inches down from belly button diagonally. Not sure that helps!

Although, for someone that might not ovulate I might not be the best source...

AF due Weds I think but, if I did ov, am only 5dpo. I feel very lovey today, want lots of hugs and probably a good shag. Haha. Is that a symptom?!

Nessalina · 02/03/2014 12:19

I've been getting stabby ovary pains, so they're definitely a symptom!
When was your actual last period Min? What CD are you on? I'd try a First Response Early Response test if you be bothered to go get one, they're very sensitive.
Having obsessively read up on implantation, depending on how lazy your egg is, it's well within reason not to be able to detect a BFP til 19dpo! Shock

Wilhelminanevillesdottir · 02/03/2014 12:34

God you're all so bloody lovely! The only really different thing I did was join mumsnet....not sure that's a medical cause of pregnancy. I was maybe slightly more accurate in when we dtd. I have to admit to having no idea when I ovulate etc so for the first 2 months we probably weren't necessarily doing it at the right time. I was a little more focussed this month.

Min I did a test last Friday which was negative and then got my positive yesterday. The positive was just a cheap Tesco one but it was a definite line - not that much lighter than the control. I am not sure when AF was due but I think maybe Tuesday. So you never know. Also I have the 'full feeling.'

Hi Righteoussausage, what a great name.

Minion · 02/03/2014 12:35

ness it was a first response. Nothing

Nessalina · 02/03/2014 12:41

Hmmm. I agree then, time for a visit to the real doctors! Not to fuel the mental, but some people don't produce as much HCG in their urine, so it may be that a blood test is the best thing to rule it in or out.
How annoying for you though. If you feel that you're not upduffed then all you want to do is have a period and get on with it!!!

Minion · 02/03/2014 13:29

michonne, cd17.. Boooo.
Glad I have a cycle buddy to obsess and compare with haha.
As typical as it is, just after I typed the last msg I got a right stabby pain in boob!
I even high fived the husband in joy.
You're right, I just want to get on with it now x

Thanks girls

RPopz · 02/03/2014 14:20

Are we having a crazy day? Can I join in? AF was 2 / 3 days early, still bleeding after 5 days (which is unheard of for me) and still crampy and painful (again, unheard of). Too much time on my hands and google says I'm preg (!!!?) or early miscarrying... Would I have noticed any of these things if we weren't ttc... NO. Slap me now plz.

aylesburyduck · 02/03/2014 14:35

hooya for rpatz.

AF turned up Sad. Bit sad to be honest.

Oh well. Just have to try again next month.

aylesburyduck · 02/03/2014 14:35

I mean rpopz..... good god I am losing the plot!!

MichonnesSamuraiSword · 02/03/2014 14:48

Yay for Crazy Day!

Sorry to hear you're out aylesbury, think of today as a fresh new cycle where you put into practise anything you learned in the last cycle, or go for a 'what the hell' cycle, or whatever - fresh start, TWOT is over, great things might happen in the next cycle.

RPopz who knows, but don't dwell on it. Hope you feel better soon.

YY to stabby ovary pains. I've been getting that since yesterday (I'm on CD 28 today). It was so bad yesterday I had to go and lie down with a hot water bottle. This has happened to me once before and it was so bad I ended up in the doctor's - they had no idea what it was - I suspected it was endometriosis. Today it's just a niggly stabbing pain where my ovary should be. Not my usual period pain at all.

And I just feel 'periody'. Just generally heavy, bloated, and my boobs are sore, with nips on full alert at all times!

I too just want ERTD to show up and get it over with , this is doing my nut in.

MichonnesSamuraiSword · 02/03/2014 14:48

Do you have Robert Pattison on the brain Ayles????? Wink

MichonnesSamuraiSword · 02/03/2014 14:50

I'm losing the plot too - had a moment of panic today when I thought I'd left something important in my work car...started running through the scenarios of how I could get it back... then realised I haven't actually picked it up yet.

OK crazy symptom spotting alert - I'm knackered and hungry, have been for the past week. Craving biscuits.

Redshoes56 · 02/03/2014 15:04

How frustrating minion - sure sounds like something's up, though I agree re: going to the doctor for a blood test. Keep us posted!

I am really annoyed with my one girlfriend right now. She knows what I've been going through - there is a group of four of us that are very close and share everything. She reached out a few days ago in a group message to invite us all to her place last night to put together baby furniture. Right. Cause that's on the top of my to-do list. I respectfully declined, saying I needed some me time this weekend what with everything that's gone on, which was met with "Remember, it's all God's plan." OK. Fine, fair enough. Last night I was feeling particularly down and sent them all a message about how hard infertility has been on me, and how difficult I am finding it to stay positive.

The reply back from her today? "IKEA discontinued the furniture I want. So pissed!"

Really? Angry

If I am being unreasonable please say so, but I am sorry - if a chain of emails includes someone you've been friends with for nearly 30 years pouring her heart out, you hold back on your fucking furniture rant for a bit. I've always looked past her tendency to act self-centered as she means well and has a good heart, but that is just insensitive! WTF!

Arg.

Sorry to hear about AF, ayles :( At least we have wil's BFP to keep us upbeat and hopeful!

MichonnesSamuraiSword · 02/03/2014 15:23

You're not being unreasonable Red. Not at all.

Incredibly insensitive and self centered. She may as well have written "Sorry Red, don't really care about your troubles. Anyhooo back to me and my dramas.."

I'm currently going through a bit of a reality check with one of my friends who I thought cared, but seemingly doesnt. Hurts when friends let you down doesn't it.

RPopz · 02/03/2014 15:29

S' ok Ayles, I may have ripped off his moniker slightly :-p

Wow Red that is vile. I would have hit the roof.

JuniperJones · 02/03/2014 15:52

Ah, boo ayles hope ERTD clears off very soon.

red that is horrible of that woman. I hope you're close enough to be able to explain to her how that made you feel but I would be cooling things right off after that. And asking my other friends what they though. People can be stunningly insensitive around TTC problems etc. I went to see a friend during follow up after the molar (ie still a risk of cancer developing) and she was going on and on about her baby plans. To me! I find it quite bizarre but I guess that's how you know people are utterly self-absorbed. Sad. Much huggage and Flowers to you today.

minion what is going on in there?! Hope it's not driving you too crazy.

Plenty of crazy here today - one of my cats was being super-attentive to me this morning so I asked DH if he reckoned that was because the cat could tell something was about to go wrong and was being kind in advance. Confused. Will be glad to get to work tomorrow for a distraction!
