Hope you get some answers/reassurance today Bugs. Remember, conception indicators are random number generators - time of day, wee concentration, mood of the stick.... Remember my friend I mentioned in t'other place? All is good. And she took weeks to move from 1-2 weeks.

HesterShaw · 14/02/2014 09:12

Shit Bugs. No, that definitely can't be "normal". A few years ago we had an ESH who described every last twinge as "incomprehensible and unbelievable" (bad form to bring that up? Never mind, eh?) However you are definitely not like that from what we've seen so don't let them fob you off with ligament stretching or embro burrowing or something.

I am pleased you're still signed off, but if you feel too shit, do contact the clinic again, bugs. Too early to scan for the baybee, but not to check there isn't fluid etc, I'd say. Conception indicators are the devil's work. Yesterday's said 1-2 and your blood result was already over the 2 week bounday. I find that quite unhelpful of the clinic. If they want to know whether it's rising appropriately, they should do another blood test (but mine were not keen on that after a good first result). Look after yourself and save some co-codamol for tonight!

SinkyMalinks · 14/02/2014 09:55

Bugs, have you got the strong co-codamol? The 30/500 rather than 8/500? As long as you make sure you don't get constipated which really won't help with the pains, the stronger stuff would be fine and might mean you can sleep. (I would only take it at night as it knocks me for 6, but would be happy to use it even in early diffment)

KatAndKit · 14/02/2014 10:03

Im not sure the 30/500 is ok in pregnancy, you'd need to check. I only seem to be allowed the over the counter strength stuff at the moment. Sorry this is being such a total headfuck for you. I hope it is nothing serious and you get some reassurance soon.

FrankelInFoal · 14/02/2014 10:06

Bugs, so sorry your are dealing with this still. Is the pain definitely all in your womble area? It's just that you mention not drinking much so I wonder if it could be kidney or even UTI related? Faith ended up in hospital with a recurring UTI while diffed so might be able to offer advice/compare notes?

SinkyMalinks · 14/02/2014 10:16

30/500 is fine.

SinkyMalinks · 14/02/2014 10:16

But you would need a prescription. Could your clinic help?

HesterShaw · 14/02/2014 10:23

Good point about it being waterworks. When I was 21 I was hospitalized for two nights for what they thought was either an ectopic or appendicitis. Turned out to be a particularly awful wee infection. The pain was immense. I was puking with it. Get them to test your wee.

Fankletastic · 14/02/2014 10:29

Crikey Bugs! That's pretty terrifying but glad the pains stopped and you came home for a rest. Being in a&e at that time of the night is a right shitter. Hang on in there. And rest.

Hiya Dishes. I'm a newbie too and completely sympathise with the rotten time you've had. But your cunt of a boss is something else!! Just fucking unbelievable and totally inappropriate behaviour. I hope his little one man band business collapses round his arse.
I thinking I'm ov'ing today and praying for a Valentines day conception - happy valentine's to you all by the way! Had the worst ov pains of my life yesterday. Wondered if it could be due to the laparoscopy I had 2 wks ago. Anyone else get horrendous ov pains the day before the bigO?

MyNameIsWinkly · 14/02/2014 10:31

You poor thing :( Have you been keeping up the lactulose, are you still pooing? Because I was hospitalised with what they thought could have been an ectopic, and ended up being chronic constipation. (Embarrassing.) Hoping they find out what the problem is, and that its easily sorted.

Fankletastic · 14/02/2014 10:32

Actually. Pelt me for being unrealistic about this month being any different from the last 26.

Fankletastic · 14/02/2014 10:43

Oh and thanks Driz and Euro for answering my question about iui vs IVF. Obviously don't want to be in the position of making these decisions at all, but I am where I am and - to use an annoying phrase my American colleagues seem to enjoy- it is what it is. Yes, a huge fucking pain in the arse!
Am still in dressing gown althogh 'working from home' today. Clearly.

ControlGeek · 14/02/2014 10:50

bugs you poor thing, that sounds terrifying. And utterly pants that you were at A&E for so long and there were still so many to be seen before you. Were you triaged at all? It shouldn't be done on a first come first served basis so you should have had some form of assessment (I think).

hest wot the others have already said. Pretty much everyone I know who has gone through IVF has a bad patch somewhere around the 7-11 day mark, the hormones are chronic. Honestly though, you will come out the other side of it. So shitty that you are dealing with chumpy EAs and family at the same time though. Can mrH take it up a notch with the EAs and Sols to give you a break?

I'm sorry for your losses, that is an awfully rough journey.

Sorry, I did read back fully but my mind's a blur. I've had constant migraines since this awful weather started so there's been loads to catch up on. Had a bit of a meltdown on poor HWIETO last night, when he said he thought we should go straight to emby adoption and bypass having one last shot with my eggs and donor sperm. He also wants to put a time limit of two years on us continuing to try. In other news, droid's train appears to be pulling out of the station at last.

He's working all the time at the moment and I'm not Geeky. So it's got to be me really. I was on the verge of pulling out two days ago. The EA has been ok I guess, but the total bitch of a solicitor has not.

FWIW I think having a timescale is a wise move.

eurochick · 14/02/2014 13:40

Sorry so many hags are having a tough time at the moment.

Bugs my cramps just lasted a few days and were nowhere near as bad as you describe. I reckon the ohss or something else is at play. I hope your clinic can help.

Hest be kind to yourself. You have an incredible amount on your plate at the moment.

I'm going to stop there as I'm supposed to be paying attention to a somewhat dry seminar.

HesterShaw · 14/02/2014 15:12

I just ate half a cake. IANBU.

FrankelInFoal · 14/02/2014 15:20
