Poor pooch! Hope she's back home safely.

I hear you all on the work thing. It's time I moved from my job - it's horribly stressful, though the people are lovely, and they have just announced they aren't replacing my boss (a role I've been covering for 6 months +) so there's no upward progression there. A job for a competitor has come up, and I'm just going to go for it. If this round of ivf does work, I'll just have to deal with the consequences. It's been more than 6 years since I had an interview (internal promotions in that time, very lucky) so if nothing else it will be good practice.

I'm a week into the down regging. No major symptoms other than being baking hot at night/ night sweats. Classy!

clett your job sounds quite physical. Do you have to dial it back because of diffage?

Ok ladies, just need to get this off my chest. My new most hated expression on this site (not this Fred) is "I'm due my BFP on x"
Oh really? Do you not mean you're due your period? Are you just assuming that you'll get "your BFP"? What's the BESH line of thought on this?
Grrrr

MissHobart · 24/02/2014 21:50

Fucking annoying! I'm pretty sure I've not resorted to that anywhere! I hope! Confused

ALittleFaith · 24/02/2014 22:00

That's a rather entitled way of looking at it!

FrankelInFoal · 24/02/2014 22:14

Fankle the BESH line on that sort of thing is "Fuck the fuck off" Grin

Bugs sorry that doggy is still poorly! but glad nothing sinister showed up. When my old spaniel developed arthritis in her hind legs the vet said we were ok to give her half an aspirin when she was in pain. We also used some herbal remedies including Rhus Tox which is very good for joints.

Thank you oh sane and wise hags Thanks
I'm getting the usual urge to shout CUNT around 10dpo. Standard really.

Fabuluce · 24/02/2014 22:36

That's the most ridiculous thing ever - I second frank - fuck the fuck off instadiffing wankers!

Fabuluce · 24/02/2014 22:39

Fizz I too was an entirely sweaty Betty when I down regged. It wasn't so bad last January as there was snow on the ground and it was bloody freezing so I just had a gentle glow about me. An entirely different thing on second down regging in the middle of last year's heat wave - I was entirely disgusting!! Wishing you the best of British with it all though :)

As always I'm on my phone so am cluster posting - apols.

Fabuluce · 24/02/2014 22:40

Will you have both your pups back with you tomorrow Bugs? I think you might need them for cuddles Smile. When's your scan?

Fabuluce · 25/02/2014 09:07

Don't worry then Bugs, we'll think of it for you and make sure you get lots of cuddles with your pups instead Smile

First day of not working again today - didn't miss that 6am alarm call one little bit! So much to do though - TWH may be wonderful but tidy he is not so it's time to steam clean the house (I took the week off house duties last week and TWH who was 'working from home' last week did not step up to the plate) and start the big pack for the house move. Thank god we are not selling as we are able to move over the course of a week rather than in one day.

cletterthedishes · 25/02/2014 11:08

fizzy, according to the doc last pregnancy, I'm fine to carry on until 6 months, just got to be careful when using solvents. There'll be a bigger injury risk to me because of all the ligament-loosening preg chemicals, but I'm used to working pretty efficiently. After 6 months the lifting would pose a risk to the pregnancy, so I'd need to stop.

I've gone self-employed since then though, and the work I do is much less heavy than before, and only very part-time.

Re poxy instadiffers, there was one on the manicure station behind me at the spa, talking about how she'd got pregnant after a few months and she'd heard that 'some people' took ages: 'like, nine months!!' It's chance, love, not a reward for being extra-special Hmm

cletterthedishes · 25/02/2014 11:50

There's a fred somewhere on the AIBU boards (can't help rubbernecking sometimes Blush) along the lines of 'AIBU to find this comment rude': a woman had told the OP that her daughter was pregnant in the first month of trying, and said that it was 'normal' and that if you had to try for more than 3 months there was 'something wrong with you'. The OP had, unbeknownst to this woman, been trying for 8.

The fred was then filled by other (probably instadiffed) morons saying 'She didn't mean to be rude, she didn't know you were trying'. I'm sorry, but that's clearly shite. It doesn't matter whether you 'know' or not. You should have the humility and perspective to wonder whether the person you're talking to has had a different experience.

Naturally I did not post the above, as I had no desire to be bundled to the floor and have babydust shoved down the back of my neck.

Huff Grin

Bugs, can you get away with calling him a cunt? I think he really needs a reality check Smile

Droid is definitely due - am watching Saturday's episode of the voice and blubbing through it. Damn these hormones!

Fabuluce · 25/02/2014 13:35

I'm a total Kylie convert. She has always annoyed me but watching her on The Voice I've discovered something - she's fabulous in her diminutiveness.

Crocodile?

Yes, it seems such a shame that she has never had a fully committed relationship as she comes across as a really nice person - she seems to have had lots of long relationships but never the One.

On another note; I AM SO OVER THIS BLOODY RAIN!
