The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

Swapped my smear test for CD21 instead of CD14! That way I don't have the awkward BYOL situation! Grin

Sal1977 · 31/01/2014 08:31

Toad in the hole for dinner tonight at CD10, told DH and his reply was 'Roger that!' Love him.

Parsley2506 · 31/01/2014 09:32

Sorry about the BFNs today. deus I hope your WTF cycle ends soon so you can focus on moving forward. Try not to hate your body too much, it's doing what it needs to do to get all comfy for the bean that is coming your way soon!

handsful I totally get your thinking. The psychological side of ttc is serious head-fuck territory. Looking forward to your BFP next fri! Wink

TITH back on the menu tonight, and I am actually quite peckish for once!

OttersPocket · 31/01/2014 09:33

Sal your DH sounds awesome Grin Stupid question alert - is it okay to have a smear in the second half of your cycle when you'll obviously be upduffed? Am I being really dense?!

I thought I was okay with the bfn this morning. However, I just cried (like, proper blubbed) at a picture on Facebook of a kitten watching it's mummy cat being resuscitated by a fireman (it sounds ridiculous when I type that out!). Oh God, I'm actually turning into a loon. Unfortunately I'm in my office today so can't be cheered up by my own cat (who thinks I'm crazy with all the emotional outbursts of late). Fishslap me please.

Sal1977 · 31/01/2014 09:34

Whahaha! Peckish!

Sal1977 · 31/01/2014 09:37

Good point otters but I'm thinking that if they're happy to dildocam you in the early days and shagging is ok pummelling the cervix, I'm site a quick cotton bud having a whip around isn't going to do much harm. Sal goes off to convince herself otherwise

Sal1977 · 31/01/2014 09:38

*Sure not site. Doh! But it probably will be a sight after a week of TITH!

OttersPocket · 31/01/2014 09:49

TITH! Snort.

Yep, I'm probably overthinking things regarding the smear. All that sausage action is no doubt rougher than any nurse with a q-tip!

Penguin13 · 31/01/2014 10:12

Sorry for the BFNs deus and Otters even if you're expecting it it's still hard. Hope your wtf cycle ends soon deus. It's so tough when you don't know what the heck is going on.

fedupofrainydays · 31/01/2014 10:59

The cat and fireman story had me spitting out my tea as sounds so ridiculous!!!

Sorry for bfns :( I hope it's just too early. I'm having a week when I'm properly fed up of this ttc game. It's just so cruel and annoying and hate feeling so out of control. Fish slap please just for being so unfrickinpositive. Friend who is due in April is coming round tonight and one who is due in two weeks is coming round now. Why do i do it to myself?!

Triplespin · 31/01/2014 11:21

Sorry about the Bfns. Again you are not out till the witch arrives. handsfull hopefully we can record one bfp next Friday (yours) to the list.

Thanks parsley. Feel a bit better about the hycosy. Maybe it won't be too bad, especially if there is a chance of improved fertility.

AF has just lasted two days, along with the clots and now I just spotting. Really panicky why my periods are so light. I had a natural mc, so can't be Asherman's syndrome can it?

EnglishGirlAbroad · 31/01/2014 11:37

Chin up deuse, these wtf cycles are exactly that, I know how you feel. I've kind of become weirdly at ease with mine. Never thought i'd say that. Like Parsley said, our bodies are getting extra cozy! Af or your bfp will turn up eventually and you WILL get your sticky one. Enjoy a glass of wine tonight, and don't give yourself a hard time. Smile

TITH last night....Delicious Wink

OttersPocket · 31/01/2014 11:38

Triple My periods are very light too. They only last for two days at a time. I'm under consultant care at the fertility clinic and she had always reassured me that it's fine and won't affect conception. However, she did give me a dildo-cam scan to make sure the lining of my womb was 'normal'. If it's not normal for you perhaps a word with the GP?

I also had a HSG last year and honestly it was fine. Not painful at all, just a bit crampy during the procedure. I was also told by the consultant it can shift any tiny blockages so can be beneficial for conception. I got my BFP two months after.

Justonemoretime · 31/01/2014 11:45

Handful good luck and I totally get where you're coming from. However, if I may offer some advice that I truly hope you will never need? If, god forbid, you should be unlucky enough to mc again you'll want this one (if it indeed is) to be on the record, as it were, as you need to have a history to get referred for tests (which I am sure you will not need). Fx its all good for you. Smile

Parsley2506 · 31/01/2014 11:58

Good yet depressing point just.

Fish slaps for fedup and otters - chin up, tits out! (Although that vid sounds like something that would make me cry too)

triple make sure you ask the consultant at your hycosy about your uterine lining. They check it as part of the scan but won't tell you about it unless you ask, although all that info does go back to your GP obviously

Glad everyone is enjoying tucking in to their TITH this week! Am going to have mine with extra gravy tonight, see if it helps/hinders before Peak day arrives! Wink

OttersPocket · 31/01/2014 12:02

Oh Parsley I forgot to link you to the tablets for wasting more money, how on earth do these work improving cm. Snake Oil

OttersPocket · 31/01/2014 12:03

I'm not sure that the reviews are evangelical enough for me to actually buy them!

OttersPocket · 31/01/2014 12:06

WTAF?!!! A review: 'Not taken long enough to judge in a month, still believing in it, but yes changes are there cycle changes to right, heat or along bikini line. Your hubby gets in trouble as your libido rises to 99.9%. Hoping to be jump started correctly with a baby.' Grin

Handsfullandlovingit · 31/01/2014 12:31

just how sensible you are. I hadn't thought of that. How bloody depressing. In other news, I have some brown spotting. I had that with the two good pregnancies but with neither of the lost ones. Eek.

All this talk of sausages is making me hungry. I wonder how many of us will actually cook TITH next week? It would make clan Handsfull rejoice!

Seasides · 31/01/2014 12:55

Ah, that cat story is so funny, and exactly the kind of thing that sets me off these days-has anyone seen the advert with the lonely old man and his dog? Bawler.

I'm gunning for a hycosy too, glad to hear it doesn't hurt as saw some scary posts about it. I've almost convinced myself my other tube is blocked, but I'm also fuming that I've not been offered it already. The hospital told me it can block your tubes, which is total arse. If I've wasted a year of my life ttc with blocked tube I will be blind raging.

Exciting handsfull! I get your reasoning, but I'm in awe of your willpower.

Sorry for bfns-some way too early though, so still lots of hope. My next af is due on the 12th, it would be cheesily amazing to get a bfp for Valentine's!

Sundance2007 · 31/01/2014 13:04

Sorry for the BFN's today, fx it's just a bit too early to pick up.

I've only just started the 2ww so my sticks will have to reside in the cupboard for a while . I'm not optimistic as we didn't optimise on the whole shagathon week!.

Re: smears...it's actually pretty safe to have one when pregnant, though it depends on whether the nurse/doctor wants to have a try, they should ask you before you have one and they might refuse to do it.

Handsfullandlovingit · 31/01/2014 13:16

So a question. If I did get a bfp today and then start bleeding properly, would that be counted by the NHS as a loss? I'd then reach the magic 3 required for investigations.

Handsfullandlovingit · 31/01/2014 13:17

(I'm only 20 days past ovulation)

OttersPocket · 31/01/2014 13:22

Sorry Handsful I'm really not sure. One of the others might know though...

But I've everything crossed for you that this has a happy outcome Smile
