The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

Oh my God. I never thought I could get so obsessed or my mood could be so affected by cervical mucus. In a normal cycle it's all about the period around ovulation and then nothing much until just before AF. This month is different. Of course, the most likely thing is that my hormones are still over the place from MMC. I need slapping with a whole shoal of fish this morning. Particularly as I'm not due to POAS until the 14th!!!!

Justonemoretime · 05/02/2014 07:31

Doctor we are poas buddies this month. I feel your pain.

DoctorDonnaNoble · 05/02/2014 07:38

Wish I could go to sleep and wake up on 14 th! I've started to get some breast pains now and noticed some other changes - BUT it could all be either a) normal hormone stuff, b) psychological OR c) pregnancy.
I wish there was a way of just knowing Confused

Sal1977 · 05/02/2014 08:36

Donna I'm lobbing a 2358 sticklebacks at you. That should cool your boots for an hour or so! Grin

Today is day 2 of the 3 day shag on SMEP as I got a +OV stick yesterday and so far no syringing this cycle (aren't we proper like!) I am however struggling to get this Pillow out of my arse after taking Parsley's advice yesterday....

TeaRex · 05/02/2014 08:49

Lol at the pillow up the bum, you ladies are far too hard core for me :)

Parsley2506 · 05/02/2014 09:11

If anyone gets diffed after shoving a pillow up their bum let me know so I can patent it!

CD16 - still no peak. I think my CBFM will give up asking for sticks soon, I used to be CD11/12 like clockwork. At least now I know we probably missed the boat last month, which is why I didn't get diffed and not because I generally don't seem able to get pg
Gonna keep up TITH every other day for now.

I keep getting junk mail from companies that still think I'm pg. Next time I will not be signing up to any pg clubs till at least 12 weeks.

EnglishGirlAbroad · 05/02/2014 09:44

Laughing at the pillow up the bum!! Grin Grin

I need your advice ladies.....
So i'm now on cd37. Yesterday i got a dark opk, today its def as dark as the test line. I had 3 days of brown spotting cd24-26. My question is - could this have been been my first af after the mc?? In which case i'd now be on cd14 of a new cycle. I've had some increased cm, and a little bit of ewcm over the last few days. Need to get some tith sorted for tonight!!

Parsley2506 · 05/02/2014 10:12

Could be? I'd never rule anything out on a wtf cycle. You got a bfn recently right? Have you tested again since? Do that first!

EnglishGirlAbroad · 05/02/2014 10:20

Bfn yesterday. Not tested today as I find it a puts me on a bit of a downer... Might try again tomorrow.

HollyBen · 05/02/2014 10:46

Could be English I had about 10 days worth of spotting from cd50 (counting erpc as cd1) which I now suspect was some sort of weird af as 2 weeks later I had blood tests which said I was mid cycle and a further 2 weeks later af turned up. I wasn't using opks or anything so no science behind my theory but seems plausible

I am home in bed ill with a horrendous cold. Hope it is gone by the weekend so we can gear up for SMEP

I'm locking my cat away!!
The dr was very calming and said there was nothing wrong in November so I should just relax. I looked at the photo of his three happy kids and wondered how relaxed his wife would have been if she was 42 when they were made. Naja.
sal we're on the same run! Got a smiley last night too!
As soon as I saw it I ran into the living room and stripped naked! OMG! You all should have seen DP's face! Woke him again at 6 this morning. Just to be sure. parsely I admit. Didn't stuff a pillow into my flowerpot!

Feeling so frustrated - just had doc appointment, and she referred me for hycosy scan - yay. But it could be SIX MONTHS or even longer until I get it!! WTAF?! I'd thought it would be in 2 weeks after AF and I'd be put out of my misery, I'm so annoyed. I'm also so annoyed at that arsing worm of an incompetent doctor at the hospital who told me hycosys could block your tubes, when the opposite is true - I'd have pushed for this months and months ago if he hadn't told me that. Now we could waste a year and a half of our lives humping away when I'm actually infertile, it's all starting to feel so futile.

Sorry for the rant - it's sad, too, because it indicates how many other people are in the same position as me, that the waiting list is so long.

english - not sure, of course, but I'd cook up some TITH if I were you, and assume that was your oddball first AF.

donna and just - we are three poas musketeers. I'm with you wishing for hibernation until then.

Ha ha tadpole, I love that image of you tearing in and stripping! Thank you for the Grin!

I do shove DH's boxers in my pants for the night after TITH to stop it going everywhere Grin Only a matter of time before it's a pillow!

Hi ladies. Seems quite sad to see some of the oldies on here graduating to pg thread, thrilled for you fedup but just gutted I'm not coming with!

So, af us due today. Chocolate cravings at an all time high and cramping too so looks like I'm out this time. Feck.

Sundance2007 · 05/02/2014 11:37

(And by oldies I mean having been here a while!)

Parsley2506 · 05/02/2014 12:08

sundance chin up, tits out - you next!

tadpole your flowerpot! Hahahaa! That is a brilliant nickname. I might try the naked streaking tactic tonight, although Mr P never needs much encouragement to tuck his napkin in for a portion of TITH

seasides I know how frustrating the wait is. We were told 6 months too but got the letter within a couple of weeks and hycosy booked for the following month so I hope you have a similarly short wait too.

english I guess if you had ERPC there's some logic to your first AF being weird and light if the lining was thinned and your body's not sure what's going on anyway. Get to the cooker, TITH for you too!

Now, an overshare moment. I was reading an article by that funny moustachey science man about how women who orgasm more are more likely to get pg. I have to confess during the midst of shag week I am more concerned with just getting it done than going for gold with multiple orgasms but I am going to aim now to start and finish with one. It's hardly a chore is it!!! Wink

Seasides · 05/02/2014 12:14

Thanks parsley - I hope so too. She did say she'd note that I was gagging for it, but then I suppose everyone in our situation is too.

This came up a few threads back - apparently orgasming after your DP 'scoops' it all up and swooshes it in the right direction. I've starting 'scooping' after DH as a matter of course now, just in case.

seasides that sounds crap sorry. I used to work in a hospital on reception (completely different dept) but people would call up to try and get an earlier appt so I had a cancellation list. When you get your appt through the post might be worth calling them up directly and seeing if they've got a similar list? Or fingers crossed you do just get an early one x

Seasides · 05/02/2014 12:21

That's a good idea, thanks tearex (your name is inspired, btw!). I will definitely try that.

Has anyone else had issues with a short luteal phase?? Since my mc in October, I've had 8,9,9 and now 10 days!! That's not good right? I'd initially put them down to wtf cycles but it shouldn't take this long.

Got a hospital gynae appt in 3 weeks, just because I like people looking up my foof obviously! But think I might need a trip to the docs too for some progesterone advice. Anyone tried prog cream?
Jeez, why is this ttc so hard?

JBrd · 05/02/2014 12:58

Sun I was worried about this at one point, too as my cycles seem to have become shorter since I've had DS. From what I have read/heard, 9-10 days is considered normal, but if your LP is on average much shorter than that, it could be worth mentioning.

There are quite a few supplements that are meant to help with cycle length, for example Vit B6. But you have to be careful with high doses with this one, as the side effects can be quite nasty. Agnus Castus might be another one, but I don't know much about it.

Also, from what I've heard, progesterone cream is next to useless, as you'll never be able to get any significant amount into your system that way, you'll need the pessaries. Have you had your levels tested?

Seasides · 05/02/2014 13:03

Sundance - I know I keep mentioning it, but honestly try agnus castus. I was worried about my LP too, and it seemed to make a difference even in the first month of taking it - though it says it takes up to 3 months to properly take effect. It has some science behind it, apparently - it acts on the pituitary gland to trigger release of fertility hormones, particularly normalising progesterone levels. My OV date went from CD17 to CD15 after one month of taking it, and luteal phase was 13 days - was 10 at one point. At least yours seems to be going in the right direction though.

You need to take the tincture rather than the capsules apparently, as capsules aren't potent enough. I get A.Vogel. Also you should take it on an empty stomach.
