The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

English - sorry you're still being messed around. Hope it resolves soon.
I take back any symptom spotting comments. I'm in bed with the lurgee. Probably all related to that. Hope I get this kicked by the weekend and the rugby!!!

champagnegoldfinch · 04/02/2014 12:12

teresa, you would need a BBT thermometer (Amazon or eBay) and you take your temperature after a good solid block of sleep. So as soon as you wake up, before you drink, talk, move, TITH. I track my temps on fertility friend

You should see a rise in temperature post-ovulation. If you know when you are ovulating then you will know how long your luteal phase is (from ovulation to AF) as too short a LP can cause problems.

Then if you do decide to take a trip to the docs in the future, then you will be armed with information regarding your cycle. This book explains all.

Seasides, I wouldn't worry about a random dip. I get them quite regularly. Probably because I don't sleep great and take my temperature at random times.

English, with my last pregnancy I got a very dark OPK the day before my BFP. Just saying...

deuscat · 04/02/2014 12:16

Oh English. You sound like me a week ago. I don't temp or use opk's but I was convinced I had ovulated, conceived and had implantation bleeding before my AF arrived. It was torture seeing the bfns. I can completely understand how frustrating it is. I am now relieved that my wtf is over but also scared that cycle 2 could also be a bit wacky.

Hang in there, hopefully it will resolve one way or the other soon enough. I wish I had better advice but it's just another awful experience to have to endure after a mc Hmm

DoctorDonnaNoble · 04/02/2014 12:28

Cramping now on and off. But there we go. Trying to be more reasonable now. It's too soon to test and it's really only worth symptom spotting when AF is over due.

EnglishGirlAbroad · 04/02/2014 13:26

Thanks deus and champgane.
As if a mc isnt bad enough, mother nature really sticks the knife in with the shitty wtf cycle after!!
I've just been to the gym, which has lifted my mood a little... good old endorphins!!
Hope this cycle is a little more simple for you Deus and it results in a nice sticky bfp.

Seasides · 04/02/2014 14:04

Sorry you're blue and frustrated english - hope you get an answer one way or the other soon.

Swinging between being convinced my tube is blocked to symptom spotting. Feeling psychosomatically weird and a bit barfy today. Keep telling myself there's no symptom worth a jot but a positive test.

I'm off to strap a stray cat to my face...

TeaRex · 04/02/2014 14:24

Well tested today and got a bfn, two weeks exactly after my erpc, so the one and only time you'll see me write I'm happy I got a bfn. I feel like the physical part is over and I can move forward, so I will be positive. Onto my wtf cycle. champagnegoldfinch thanks for letting me know about your cycles, I guess anything could happen, I'll just have to take it as it come over the coming months (not that I actually have any other option lol) and thanks parsley for adding me to the lists, feels all official that I'm back on the ttc wagon now. Hope everyone's day is going okay x

Penguin13 · 04/02/2014 14:32

Oh English I'm sorry you're feeling rubbish. The uncertainty is so frustrating. Really hope things become clearer soon.

OttersPocket · 04/02/2014 14:33

TeaRex It's good you got your bfn so soon after the erpc, onwards and upwards love. Chin up, tits out.

Hang in there Seasides

Sal That conjures up all sorts of images. We should market cat accessories for desperate ttc'ers like ourselves. 'Wear a cat muff to get upduffed' Grin

DoctorDonnaNoble · 04/02/2014 14:37

TeaRex. I was actually really lucky other than my pmt symptoms being even more like pregnancy symptoms! My wtf cycle was pretty much spot on what my cycle was before.

TeaRex · 04/02/2014 14:49

Thanks guys :) donna my cycles are all over normally anyhow but maybe I'll get lucky and it'll eork in reverse and I'll have the shortest cycle I've ever had :) fingers crossed.
english hope things get clearer for you soon x
starfish keep meaning to say hi, you posted on my mmc thread x

fedupofrainydays · 04/02/2014 18:54

Quick update from me.
So tested again this morn and line was lighter than yesterday pm (with v concentrated wee as didn't go for 5 hours) which worried me a bit. But was still there and not particularly faint so trying to ignore it.
I've literally been shaking every time I go to the loo out of fear of seeing blood, it's horrendous! Mentally I am really struggling. I think af will be late if I make it past tomorrow.
I phoned EPU and have location scan booked for 20th when will be 6 weeks, if I get that far..
Think will pluck up the courage to go to tanny's suggested thread as you prob don't want me hanging around here with my bfp woes...
Hope all is well and TITH (yum really fancy that tonight) action a plenty!

Penguin13 · 04/02/2014 19:32

Sorry you're having a tough time fedup. We'll miss you but completely understand you wanting to chat with those going through the same stuff hang out with the cool BFP gang Don't forget to pop in every now and then to give us all hope Smile. All together now....today you are pregnant.

OttersPocket · 04/02/2014 19:35

Fedup I have everything crossed for you except my legs fnar fnar

You're pregnant today, remember that and congratulations. We'll miss you on here but I hope to never ever see you on this thread again.

Sending lots of positive vibes and unmumsnetty hugs Smile

Sal1977 · 04/02/2014 19:41

fedup like the others said, today you are upduffed with scan booked in two weeks! Yay! Knicker watch will continue no doubt for another 9 months or so, so no point in us telling you to chill out about it! Now, can you go and save me a seat in the other thread as I'll be joining you shortly...

Proper hardcore OV pains this arvo, smiley face on posh CB digi and some EWCM. CD14, look at me being all goody two shoes and text book!

Dinner in the oven, toad has visited the hole and am now with legs up against wall.

Question: how long do you stay upside down horizontal after DTD?

funkymonk · 04/02/2014 20:01

Hi ladies. Totally understand your woes fedup. Don't think anyone will be able to convince you not to worry and to drop the need for constant knicker watch. I know I would be exactly the same. Last pregancy I tested daily and sticky taped all the tests to a piece of paper which I then labelled with dates. A weird collage.

Was about to ask what TITH was but I'm guessing from last post that its 'toad in the hole'??!!! Hilarious! I had TITH last night which was cycle day 16. Post mc I popped an egg cycle day 17. Advanced digi is telling me today that I am still infertile and just shows a big empty circle. Pah. This is the 2nd wtf cycle. English I think I'm in the same boat as you.

Thanks for posting the stats for me to see berry chum parsley!

donna I remember you from the July antenatal thread. I was due 28th July but was lurking on the July one and posting in August thread. I was really sorry to read what you went through and then went through the same myself a week later!!

Do I need to bring a fish to officially join?!

TeaRex · 04/02/2014 20:28

fedup can't begin to imagine the emotions you're having at the moment but as everyone's said keep positive as much as you can, hope the 20th comes round quick and gives you the reassurance you need.

Justonemoretime · 04/02/2014 20:47

oooh my boobs hurt. Dpo 4. Chuck me a fish - I'll give it to the cats! Wink

fedupofrainydays · 04/02/2014 22:02

Thanks girls... Hope to see you very soon on preg threads as will miss you and your banter! Please god may I not be back here and I mean that in the nicest possible way.

Parsley2506 · 04/02/2014 22:05

fedup we can all relate to the shredded nerves and obsessive knicker watch! it's totally understandable. Please do pop in to let us know how it's all going, and as sal said! keep us a seat on that thread. Now, in the best possible way, feck off with ya and don't come back! Wink

sal I have never done the bicycle legs post TITH, way too much effort! I usually either just lie there or stick a pillow up my bum for 15 mins or so.

funky a fish is a good idea if only to bribe BFP sensing cats with.

Parsley2506 · 04/02/2014 22:07

UNDER, not up!

Sal1977 · 04/02/2014 22:09

a cushion up the bum? Hehe

OttersPocket · 04/02/2014 22:11

Wow Parsley, that's taking the post-sex mooncup idea to a whole new level Grin

Penguin13 · 04/02/2014 22:49

Parsley that made me snort with laughter hopefully not shooting out any recently deposited swimmers in the process. Best auto-correct ever Grin
