The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

The cat won't leave me alone. Last time he was like this I got my BFP. Please slap me for even thinking this!

Justonemoretime · 03/02/2014 07:25

Lol Doctor, I've tried to diagnose PG by pet before now... I would throw you a fish, but I fear the cat would just eat it... :)

DoctorDonnaNoble · 03/02/2014 07:37

:-)

Seasides · 03/02/2014 09:11

Ha ha doc, that's the funniest symptom yet! I think we need a most obscure symptom game. Anyone who can top the cat gets a one month fish amnesty Grin

Glad the party was fun parsley, it's nice when family surprise you by acting sane! It's always a surprise with mine, at least.

Good morning fellow ttc'ers Smile I hope everyone had an enjoyable weekend. Glad to hear it wasn't too awful for you yesterday Parsley

Well AF got me good and proper this morning so it chin up and tits out and onto another cycle for me. I'm feeling decidedly shit about all if I'm being honest.

Anyway, my ttc plan for this month is bound to work. I bought myself a brand new shiny and completely baby-unfriendly car yesterday and I'm about to book flights for DP and I to go on holiday in May. Might also snag myself some music festy tickets whilst I'm at it. Now if all that doesn't guarantee me a bfp I don't know what will apart from lots of shagging

deuscat · 03/02/2014 09:38

Parsley I'm glad the party was ok in the end.

Otters sorry you're feeling down. Your plan sounds like a surefire way to get pg though! Wink

Looks like my WTF cycle is finally over 40 days after the mc. I'm glad I'm no longer waiting and can have a break from desperately symptom spotting fresh start on cycle 2 post mc.

OttersPocket · 03/02/2014 09:42

Thanks deus

I'm glad that your wtf cycle is over - I found mine to be a total headfuck as it was also 40 days. Fingers crossed February is our month Smile

EnglishGirlAbroad · 03/02/2014 10:14

Morning Ladies,

Sorry you're feeling a bit down in the dumps otters, but booking all those things is a sure fire way to tempt fate. And cheer you up in the meantime.

Glad your WTF cycle is over Deuse, still on cd35 here. Longest cycle ever!

I try to force my cats to seat on my lap in a hope that they might think 'Oooohh theres a baby there, must get closer'! Lost the plot!!

Penguin13 · 03/02/2014 10:23

Happy Monday ladies. Who else is revving their engines for the monthly shagathon? I'm on CD8 so getting limbered up. Mmmmmm TITH every night. Yum. oof pass me the rennies!

Glad the family event was easier than anticipated Parsley. Bump envy is hard though. Mine was ok apart from right at the end when I was having cuddles with my gorgeous 4 month old nephew and I nearly started crying. Luckily I don't think anyone noticed in the chaos of getting everything together to leave.

I also ate my body weight in cake Blush so ttc friendly diet not really on track!

Penguin13 · 03/02/2014 10:32

Sorry you're feeling down Otters. Sometimes it's just proper shit. In addition to the music tickets might I suggest booking a brie and pate tasting holiday to really seal the deal?

Glad you finally have an end to your wtf cycle deus. Hope yours isn't far behind English.

wingandtalon · 03/02/2014 10:44

Glad to hear the family gathering went well Parsley

Sorry you're feeling down Otters but booking those things gives you something to look forward to and should help you keep your mind off things.

Doctor my horse started sniffing my belly just before I got my BFP so I shall take that as a sure sign if she ever does it again! I'm glad to know that other animals act as pregnancy warning systems.

Just I'm right there with you, only I'm seeing it as a very positive thing. I'm really enjoying TITH at the moment as it doesn't feel like there's so much pressure on it. I'm not sure what happened, something just flipped in my brain and my entire outlook changed. When I conceived before it was when we were just relaxing and letting nature take it's course, so you never know.

HollyBen · 03/02/2014 14:18

Hi all. Been off licking my wounds since the predicted spotting turned up, followed by AF. I had convinced myself the cycle 2 was going to be the lucky one as I had my BFP (dd) on cycle 2 following mc#1 and BFP on cycle 2 this time. Why do we try to find logic in something so unpredictable?!?

A tentative woohoo handsful sending you stick positive vibes.
Sorry to hear about you grandad and the witch wing
Glad your wtf cycle is over deus Mine as 79 days and I have never been so glad to see AF.
Hello to all the newbies.

My AF has become v light since AF. This cycle was less than 3 days of pretty light flow. Though starts off very painful. I also seem to get sore nipples from ov until AF arrives which is very annoying. Anyone else had this? Just about to head over to Amazon see if I can get some more ov tests. And see if I can book in for some acupuncture

Have a good Monday all

champagnegoldfinch · 03/02/2014 14:35

Hello newbies , sorry you find yourselves here.

parsley, pleased you got through your family gathering okay. I know exactly how you feel. I had a pregnant-SIL announcement 2 weeks post-MC and another pregnant-SIL announcement a couple of months post-MC. And I now have a lovely new niece but there were definitely some tough times. Just slap on a happy face and do your crying in private is my advice. Unfortunately, when you have had a loss everything is significant in some way. Chin up, tits out...

Teresa, so sorry about your DD and your MC. Have you considered tracking your temperatures? At least then you would know whether you are just ovulating early or whether you have a short luteal phase. Just an idea.

tearex , I had variable cycles (27-45 days) both when I conceived DC2 and when I conceived the MMC, and TBH since the MC my cycles have settled down to regularly 28-30 days. Which is pretty ironic since I am still not pregnant after 8 months despite the regularity but managed to conceive on cycle 4 and cycle 1 while they were haywire Hmm

Sorry AF has arrived otter, and pleased to hear AF has appeared deus. Gosh, this is a rollercoaster, isn't it?

I think I am taking a leaf out of just's book this month. I am back on the booze, and I've not taken my temperature for 8 days rebel. Eeek, I might even splash out this afternoon and have a caffeinated tea. Still limbering up penguin style though. It is CD8 after all....

fedupofrainydays · 03/02/2014 16:49

Hi girls, sorry about af otters and holly but glad the WTf has ended dues.

Had a bit if a weird day starting with gagging on my cereal and banana - only happened when upduffed for the first time. Then went the gym and was all dizzy I had to stop. Went to the loo and there was loads of milky cm so I decided to through the 'I'm not testing til after at is due' rule out the window and I went to superdrug and bought a two pack. I POAS. Yes fish slaps in many ways as not sure I'm even 14 dpo and it's not a Friday. But ... it's a bfp. Absolutely shitting it. Wish I hadn't as don't really want to know but kind of thought I was so seemed pointless to not test. It's that here we go again feeling we all know so well..... One hurdle down, another million to go. Eeeek. Feeling crampy too so petrified the blood is going to flow but at least if it's a chemical I know about it and then that's my 'three' to get referred. Will be on the phone to EPU tomorrow as they told me to ring as soon as I got my next bfp. Shit I'm scared.

DoctorDonnaNoble · 03/02/2014 16:51

Cat's at it again! Only just through the door as well.
I'm all for the booking things. I've booked many extreme races. Think marathons and army style. Seems likely I will get a BFP. I did just before my last half.
Also DH is planning on drinking plenty of beer at the weekend when we go to the rugby at Murrayfield. Sounds like a likely time. BFP not due until 14th so may have a few but not go crazy. It's only 7dpo at the moment!!! Grin

HollyBen · 03/02/2014 16:56

What a minefield of emotions fedup Firstly congratulations! You are pregnant eek!! Take one day at a time. Phone your EPU and hopefully they will provide reassurance and an early scan. Sending you lots of positive vibes for a healthy uneventful 9 months

DoctorDonnaNoble · 03/02/2014 16:59

Wow fed up! Excellent. I've had some stuff going on but it really is to early to test here.
I echo the advice about contacting EPU keeping my fingers crossed for you.

tannyLoo · 03/02/2014 17:00

Oh my! Fedup . You can have a halibut but Friday seems a long way, doesn't it?

When you're ready we have a thread going Here where you will be in good company.

fedupofrainydays · 03/02/2014 17:01

Ps. My next door neighbours cat was right at the top of the tree in our garden this morn. Also a sign that made me think, maybe.... Wink (I don't have my own cat you see)

DoctorDonnaNoble · 03/02/2014 17:08

:-)

EnglishGirlAbroad · 03/02/2014 17:09

Ahhh FedUp! Congratulations! Can imagine how cautious and anxious you must be feeling but try to take it a day at a time. Fingers crossed for a healthy, happy & boring pregnancy Smile

Justonemoretime · 03/02/2014 17:11

Congrats Fedup Grin wonderful news. Wishing you a boring pregnancy.

I have two cats and I will be keeping a very close eye on them. Next month I will keep catnip in my pockets just so their good luck will follow me around. Oh, and DTD as well. That's the main thing, right? Wink

Seasides · 03/02/2014 17:19

Fantastic fedup! Keep us updated, hope the EPU has reassuring words for you, and an early scan to calm the nerves.

No cats here, but 100% symptom-free, so sure they'd be keeping their distance if they were.

champagnegoldfinch · 03/02/2014 17:26

MissHobart · 03/02/2014 17:37

Congratulations! fx for a really boring textbook PG! Grin

I have three cats, what should I be looking out for? The tiny one is Sat on my lap right now, he never does this! Plus my nipples tingled/hurt 20 minutes ago! I'm deff upduffed! Wink minus 10dpo Hmm
