Allo ladies! Wondering if there are any other over 35's (apparently the age of fertility suicide, who knew?) ttc for over a year wanting to chat? If so, pour yourself some virtual wine and let the chatting commence!

On cd27 today so I tested....bfn! So pissed off :( not even a hint of a line.

Gingerbreadlady1 · 24/04/2014 08:03

It could still be too early, lots of people don't get a bfp till a good bit later.Give it a couple of days hon. I'm still in! No witch yet & even if she comes, my luteal phase is getting longer (normally 20 days) which is great!

I had some worrying tests back yesterday, my prolactin levels are way too high at 850. Should be no more than 600. Second time they've came back high (not that they told me). Need to speak to fc about it but dr google suggests cant get knocked up with these levels Sad

Gingerbreadlady1 · 24/04/2014 08:09

That should of said 10 day luteal phase.

Tranquility, it was really bizarre actually hun. I had done an HPT on the Friday and it had been a BFN. My AF had started the next day on the Saturday, exactly as my cycle predicted so by the following Friday, all bleeding and nearly all spotting had ended. I was downstairs with DD and just got this over-whelming dizzy feeling and shaking like I needed sugar, you know that low blood-sugar feeling? I have no idea why, but it was so random that I decided that something wasn't right and wanted to rule out being PG.

It was a really strong BFP on a normal HPT, not even a sensitive one.

But then next day I started spotting again. I didn't really have any pain though it was really strange. Que two weeks of blood tests every 48 hours and scans at the EPU. Mainly because instead of going down, the HCG levels went up, but not enough for it to be a successful PG, hence why they thought it was an ectopic. Luckily I MC normally in the end without needing any intervention.

Sorry that was a bit long-winded!!

Inshock, I do that every month you know... I test the day before AF is due, in the hope that I might be PG, but all it does is convinces me, a day early, that it's not happening - again!! Sad Sorry hun. x

Thanks Ginger, I'm waiting for the text to tell me that the red dress has arrived in the store. Then I may post a pic of me wearing it - if I'm brave enough - LOL!!

Tranquilitybaby · 24/04/2014 08:28

Girls, help. I don't want to upset anyone on here but I tested last night as it was positive! I've barely slept worrying about it, tested again this morning, bfp again but considering I'm mid cycle the line isn't that strong (on a superdrug test, never used them before). Wtf?!

My AF was a day early, quite heavy as normal and lasted 7 days. Had 4 days of nothing then pink/brown discharge on and off since and cramping on left side. Got gp appt this morning. I'm terrified.

Gingerbreadlady1 · 24/04/2014 08:58

Aww congratulations honey! Okay, deep breaths. It will all be fine. You've done this twice before I think? So your body knows what it's doing. And that's great you've got the drs today. Are you just generally panicking as bfp or are you worried about anything else?

OP posts:
Tranquilitybaby · 24/04/2014 09:03

Because I had a proper AF that only finished 6 days ago. Cramping and I'm supposedly mid cycle so it's not going to be a good outcome is it?

Gingerbreadlady1 · 24/04/2014 09:13

I've heard of people getting periods whilst pg, maybe that's you hon & you're not mid cycle?

OP posts:
Gingerbreadlady1 · 24/04/2014 09:16

It might have been really heavy implantation bleeding?

OP posts:
Gingerbreadlady1 · 24/04/2014 09:16

What time is your apt?

OP posts:
Tranquilitybaby · 24/04/2014 09:19

I would've thought the test I did on CD27 would've been positive though if it was? Thanks for replying ginger I really appreciate it. Appt is 11.30am x

Gingerbreadlady1 · 24/04/2014 09:25

Maybe too early then hon. I think the drs will do blood tests over a few days to check hcg rising.

Tranquility I have everything crossed for you! My MIL didn't realise she was pregnant until she was 3 months gone in both pregnancies coz she had normal periods for the first 3 months. Pls give us an update after your appt.

Ginger I'm pleased you're still in the running.

So much going on here at the mo lets get a big wave of bfp's this month :)

Tranquilitybaby · 24/04/2014 09:36

Thanks girls. I'm all tearful and don't know what rondo with myself. I feel totally different to my last two pregnancies so need some reassurance from the doctor.

I really, really hope this is your month girls I really do.

Xxx

Gingerbreadlady1 · 24/04/2014 09:36

What about going for a walk to kill time. That helps me with stress?

OP posts:
Tranquilitybaby · 24/04/2014 09:38

This is the test I did at 5am. Not very strong line if I'm potentially 5 weeks.

Still a line Tranquility :) I think it's looking good x

Gingerbreadlady1 · 24/04/2014 09:57

Looks good! X

sebsmummy1 · 24/04/2014 10:04

Looks like a line to me! From what I understand it's not how quickly your hcg levels rise. It's that they rise enough by key times if that makes sense. So you could be a slow hcg riser but it doesn't mean the pregnancy isn't viable.

spinningirl10 · 24/04/2014 10:08

Tranquil....keeping fx for you, good luck at the doctors later xx

Inshock73 · 24/04/2014 10:09

I think we've formed a cheering squad for you Tranquility :)
