Well I'm on day 6 today, I went in for blood tests this morning. My estrogen is quite high so I'm going to reduce my dose of stimms tonight. I'm feeling achey and bloated so that explains that. Back on Thursday for a scan. MrCups is being fairly good, he bought me some flowers and chocolates and is doing all the cooking but only because I had a go at him. I feel like he's really disengaged from this cycle. He's not been to any appointments yet and he's only been home for one injection so far. He's made an effort today though and text me about the appointment so hopefully he's getting more involved.

Poor MrC Cups. But I'm pleased he is looking after you. Other than bloated, how are you feeling about everything? Fin is all good thank you growing at a rate of knots!

cups sounds like your follicles are growing well if they have reduced your dose. Good luck with the scan tomorrow.

Happy scan day, Cups. I'm clueless about, well, nearly everything (!), but I hope everything goes well today.

Just got back from the clinic. Not great news I've got 5 follicles at nearly 10mm, 2 really big ones at 20mm which I'm probably going to lose and lots of tiny ones which are unlikely to catch up. I asked if they thought I had already lost a couple due to how high my oestrogen was on day 6 (2850) but they didn't really answer. Just waiting on blood results to see what to do next. DH and I have just had an argument over the phone, he admitted he is distancing himself from it all as he thinks it's going to fail. I'm trying to pull myself together before I head into work.

Oh Cups I'm sorry you and MrC have fallen out. But it's not all bad news. Better you have 5 amazing eggs than loads of poor ones. Have they said when EC may be?

Thanks Maybe, I've no idea about EC. I think that's what has stressed me out the most as I did ask her but she just said they will now more when they get the blood results. I'm worrying that they might cancel. Last time I had 15 follicles at this point.

I really need to chill out or I'm going to be a mess by Saturday. God this whole process is such a mindfuck

cups sorry it wasn't better news and sorry you and mrC have fallen out but surely they won't cancel? will they not try to pick a day when the 5 that are all roughly the same size are about right?
What's happening on Sat? will that be your next blood test / scan?

If it any help MrB had the same attitude when I got my positive test, he was sure it wasn't going to work so he didn't want to get his hopes up by being happy about it. It didn't make him any less upset later though

cups having 5 follies is great, and your little ones might catch up. remember it only takes one. I'm sorry mrC isn't very engaged, protecting himself is all well and good but you're putting your body through this. I hope you can sort things out tonight. it's all a total mindfuck but you're doing so well. x

Hi thanks for all the brooking. I've heard back from the doctor. They are not going to cancel, apparently with nhs it counts as a cycle from the 1st day of stimming so they don't cancel as that would count as one of our 3 goes. He did admit if we were private he might advise cancelling if we wanted and starting again on a lower dose of menopur. BUT he did say he still thinks I've got a good chance of getting about 6 mature eggs so he's is still hopeful. I've just got back from acupuncture and I do feel better.

I've going to make friends with MrC tonight. He is going to be there at EC and ET so I guess I can't expect much more. He was really engaged with it all last time. He has said he's trying to protect himself from getting hurt again. I guess I can understand that.

6 would be amazing if that's what I get. That's what is so hard about IVF, I get so caught up in the numbers and I swing from panicking I'll ovulate early/no eggs will fertilise to worrying that 6 eggs aren't enough

MrCups and I are friends again and he's even told my follies to get a move on this morning and is missing his gym class on Saturday to come to clinic with me. So Im not going to divorce him yet

6 follies at 20mm and 4 at 16mm so I'm going to trigger tonight at 11pm as consultant thinks we will lose the leading 6 if we wait any longer. EC will be on Monday. We are just heading out for a pinic, I've finally found a pair of shorts that fit! Weight gain is 5lbs so fingers crossed I won't put on anymore.
