Over here all breastfeeding ttcers! Welcome to our thread - a place for us to come for support, information and to talk about the extra challenges of ttc while still breastfeeding (or expressing like myself).

I thought I should go ahead and start the new thread as the old one is about to fill up and I didn't want anyone to get lost (hope that's ok Waiting and that you haven't already done this and I just missed it!)

For anyone who is new to the thread or needs a reminder, here are a few links to some useful websites (thanks Waiting for putting these together)

Congrats Orchid! Wonderful news. And fingers crossed for you too OrchidFlakes, sounds like a good month for Orchids generally (maybe I should consider a name change Hmm !

Sounding good Painty, now you can relax and start your 2ww knowing you've done everything you can - hope this is the one!

AF started on Friday for me (shortly after I got that bfn and used up my last test - typical!). At least I can be pretty sure I am ovulating given my temp chart, and as AF was 3 days late and temps were going steadily up until 14dpo I feel as if maybe something was trying to happen. Hopefully this cycle it will stick!

Have you POAS junebaby?

Sorry about AF cowbiscuits, how are you doing now? We are pretty much at the same point in our cycles (prob not for long, mine are super long at the moment), I have been wallowing with chocolate, tea and the odd glass of wine the last few days but now gearing myself up for the new cycle and getting back to healthier habits!

I go away for a weekend and look what happens... lots and lots of posts. Yay! Lovely to come back to a busy board. We're mid bedtime routine atm so will post more later but couldn't read and ignore a BFP! Fantastic news Orchid!! Congratulations Grin.

And fingers crossed for you Painty! Hope its not a too long 2ww.

Any news Junebaby? I have no symptoms... don't think AFs due really until Weds/Thurs. Keeping an open mind here and hoping lots of sunshine helped at the weekend.

Hi 2tiredmama. Our LOs are about the same age. My DS was 1 at the end of Feb. And I'm veggie, recently returned to work, feed my DS twice a day - morning and bedtime.
We have been a very run down household since DS started nursery and I went back to work but we finally seem to be coming out of it (or having a good couple of weeks!). I've been taking Floridix lately to try to make sure my iron levels are topped up and wonder if that's helped me start to feel a bit better lately. The rain stopping has helped too! Until probably the last week or so I've been really confused about whether I should maybe stop BF to both help improve our chances ttc and help myself feel - well - a bit more with it.
One of the things that prays on my mind and often helps convince me in my little wobbly moments is the thought that I could stop bf and it could still take a while to fall pregnant. If that happened I would be so annoyed at myself for stopping. Especially as we both enjoy it so much. His funny little routines like covering my boobs up when he's finished and signing milk when my letdown is being slow! You've given your DS a great start to life bf til 1. I'm taking each month as it comes at the moment. You've come to the right place for advice and to hang out. Smile

mrsdiddlydoo · 10/03/2014 20:16

Cowbiscuits - I'd love to carry on BF and tandem feed but reckon I'll cross each bridge as I get to it! I often wonder how my DS would deal with it. Would he get jealous and not want to share or would he just accept it...

junebaby2011 · 11/03/2014 16:44

Hello everyone-sorry meant to post yesterday as I said I would poas!

Well I did and there was the faintest of marks, not really a line. This morning a darker(but still feint) line but definitely there-so BFP here!

I have had a few symptoms like tiredness, constipation, sore breasts..

I'm so excited but scared as well because of MC four months back-but hoping this time will be ok.

Hoping the line will get darker as I think I am only 11dpo today (short luteal phase).

Will keep you all posted and good luck to mrs when you poas!

This board is doing so well atm. BFP on a monthly basis at least!

I'm just not feeling it over here. No symptoms. Decided to move off the Brew tonight and hit the Wine - well a small glass. I'm not planning to POAS unless af is a couple of days late or I have some a symptoms

Painty - do you think you have ov? Fingers crossed for you. I'm impressed with your weebairn efforts Grin

no af yet. Feels like its on the way. Trying not to think about it. Sat eating chocolate biscuits! Hope everyone's ok. Will see what the morning brings.

mrsdiddlydoo · 14/03/2014 07:39

Couldn't resist. POAS this morning as I am a day late and there is a faint line... Shock Took a while to come through. Bit shocked and not convinced its real! DS keeps being sick after feeds which is what made me test. Can you have little BFP? I guess not really Grin

Oh my...

Wow 2 in a week, congratulations June and mrs!! This has been a good month for the breastfeeding ttcers - let's hope next month is too!

Painty great to hear that the timings have worked out this month and all fingers and toes crossed that it does the trick.

I am on day 8 now but have been ovulating very late around day 24-26 so probably another couple of weeks before things start to get critical - we are getting plenty of practise in just in case though! It's so frustrating having such long cycles, makes the wait seem endless.

mrsdiddlydoo · 14/03/2014 12:50

My plan is to try forget about it for now and test again next week. Ignoring me the recent BFPs on here have completely made me feel a million percent better that it is possible to breastfeed and get pregnant.

I have everything crossed for you Painty.

Mister - I figure it's always good to practice Wink and cover all bases just in case.

Definitely possible mrs, to add to your positivity I was talking to someone today who is still breastfeeding her 10 month old, periods not returned yet but just found out that she is 15 weeks pregnant! Was a bit of a shock I think, but that proves it is both possible and that symptoms are not necessarily obvious to begin with!

Hope everything enjoys the lovely sunny weekend.

junebaby2011 · 14/03/2014 20:06

Congratulations mrs! Our due dates will be almost identical!

I have got a nice dark line so going to try and relax and not worry about things too much. Got to stop poas!

Good luck everyone and will keep checking in.
