Over here all breastfeeding ttcers! Welcome to our thread - a place for us to come for support, information and to talk about the extra challenges of ttc while still breastfeeding (or expressing like myself).

I thought I should go ahead and start the new thread as the old one is about to fill up and I didn't want anyone to get lost (hope that's ok Waiting and that you haven't already done this and I just missed it!)

For anyone who is new to the thread or needs a reminder, here are a few links to some useful websites (thanks Waiting for putting these together)

Congrats to eagle2010 too :)

MrsConfusion · 11/09/2014 21:22

Exciting possibilities MrsD, get yourself a posh test for the weekend, fingers crossed.

Been up and down here, on antibiotics all week to battle infection, I've been at work which keeps my head full even if my body is knackered. I'd just be more stressed if I stayed at home.

Saw my lovely osteopath/acupuncturist yesterday, booked to go again in a couple of weeks so that feels like a step towards starting to take control of my body. Hopefully I can get infection beaten and everything inside back into working order. Dreamed about DTD with DH last night so maybe my body is giving me a hint!! Blush

How you doing eagle and everyone?

MrsConfusion · 11/09/2014 21:23

weebairn how lovely to hear from you! I was thinking about you today, how funny, and wondering how close you were. Sending lots of good vibes for happy arrival soon. (although as my DD was born 1st Oct I think it's an excellent month).

eagle2010 · 12/09/2014 07:04

MrsC, my DS's birthday is the 1st of October too! Smile

Hopefully you'll feel back to yourself very soon. The dream is definitely a good sign.

Feeling ok here, quite nauseous and very tired (which is nothing new as DS is the World's Worst Sleeper). I'd forgotten how long the first weeks seem.

Thanks for the good wishes weebairn, it was your Method that got us to the BFP Grin

Good luck for the last stretch, hoping everything goes really well for you.

mrsd, fingers crossed for you.

weebairn · 12/09/2014 08:41

Thanks MrsConfusion, and eagle!! My method is the oldest in the book, but I still swear by it Wink

My DD's birthday is 30 September so it could be an eventful party Grin I'd actually love it if they shared a birthday, it would be so cute! She will only be 2 this year so it's not like she'll be pissed off if the party goes up in smoke… Wink

AndIFeedEmGunpowder · 13/09/2014 04:36

Mrsdiddly sounds very promising! I had lots of faint lines before I gave in and did a digital test too. I think teenager-esque hormones released by being in a room next to DP's/PILS and Judy Blume have a lot to answer for this month! Wink

Hope you are looking after yourself MrsConfusion and the acupuncture is working.

weebairn I will look out for your live birth thread. Grin

mrsdiddlydoo · 13/09/2014 11:40

Thanks everyone. You ladies are so nice. Smile Haven't retested yet but exhausted. Going to climb back into bed for a quick zzz before DS wakes from his nap. I'll buy another test this afternoon when I pop into town.

June Have my fingers crossed for your upcoming efforts! I'm so in denial. It's going to be a long few weeks. Every second is already passing so slowly. Hope you are taking good care of yourself. xx

weebairn can't wait to hear good news from you. wishing you a quick, easy and as painless as possible safe delivery! Just think you'll be BF again before you know it... Grin

Hope you all have a good weekend. DH is trimming our hedges so mine is as lazy and unexciting as it gets!

zoobaby · 13/09/2014 20:16

Hope you're well Mister

MisterSafetyCatchIsNotOn · 14/09/2014 14:33

Right I think I'm all caught up, had been away longer than I realised and so much has happened!

MrsC I'm so so sorry to hear your news, it must be heartbreaking, I don't know how you manage to sound so together on here but please come and vent to us any time you need. It must be doubly hard when hardly anyone irl knows and you have to pretend to be ok, hope you have enough support from family and friends Has your infection cleared up?

Very excited about the 3 lovely new BFPs, congratulations Gunpowder, eagle and mrsd!! I am now getting my hopes firmly up as I spent the last week away with my in-laws, it's an MN rule this must be my month Wink

Sadly I think it's very unlikely as I have had back-to-back bugs over the last few weeks including quite a nasty UTI so only managed to dtd a couple of times while away, although we have made better efforts over the last few days. I'm on day 45 of another long unpredictable cycle, it's so frustrating after the last one was so much better, but then my healthy eating went out of the window due to family holidays filled with fresh bread, cakes and beer which might have something to do with it.

On the up side I am fairly confident I ovulated some time over the last week which luckily coincides with the few baby-making attempts we managed. I haven't been keeping track but have had a few cramps and been a bit weepy today which I have noticed on previous cycles during the week after ovulation.

If this cycle doesn't work out for us DH has an appointment to get his swimmers tested in a couple of weeks and then we will get a referral to a fertility clinic, so I'm feeling hopeful for the next few months. So desperately broody though.

Nice to see you weebairn, fingers crossed for a smooth delivery for you. I can't believe you are due so soon, it feels like yesterday we were all learning about the weebairn method!

Waves to zoo and toes, hope this lovely sunny weekend is helping you to feel better toes.

MrsConfusion · 14/09/2014 22:54

Thanks mister, finished antibiotics so hoping infection gone now. DH away next week for work so am solo-toddler-wrangling and hoping body behaves. Still feeling faint now and again but am putting that down to stress!

Hope you've all had nice weekends and enjoyed the sunshiny bits. Slightly terrified DD is starting to drop naps - nooooooooooo too soon! - as she missed it on Sat and nearly missed again on Sunday (fell asleep in last 5 mins of journey). She's not quite 2 yet so surely surely too early? (I kind of rely on that bit of time to sort the afternoon plan out).

Thinking of you MrsD

ToesAndFingers · 15/09/2014 07:40

Weebairn your method is the best, it got me upduffed last time with DS! It's not that easy to follow it through once you have a child though! I think childless people have no excuse really...

MrsD did you get a posh stick and retest?

MrsC glad to hear your infection is clearing up, make sure you get plenty of rest and put your feet up with some Cake and Brew.

That's annoying Mister, when do you get your appointment to confirm if it's PCOS? Let's hope you won't need it and this is I our month!

Feeling much better, although still have bouts of that annoying cough that gets you at most unsuitable moments Confused. We've managed to DTD every day for the last 3 days though, and I've noticed some EWCM on Sat and a bit yesterday so I hope we've covered our bases this month!

ToesAndFingers · 15/09/2014 07:41

Your month*, stupid phone!

mrsdiddlydoo · 15/09/2014 14:47

Hello everyone.

So I went to buy a posh test yesterday in the end, but caved and bought a cheapy. We've been in trying to save money mode for so long neither DH or I are very good at spending money. Much stronger line this morning. So I guess it is a BFP. I'm happy but apprehensive. Trying not to think about it. My best friend pointed out this morning though that this bean deserves my excitement and happiness no matter what the outcome. So I'm trying to be more yay. Thank you for all being here... It helps. A lot.

MrsC you mustn't overdo it. There's a difference between keeping busy and being too busy. Hope next week goes smoothly with DH being away and as for naps.... I haven't clue what I'd do if DS didn't nap. OMG! Has DD napped today?

Sorry you've been unwell Mister. Back to back bugs are vicious. Feels like a never ending cycle. Fingers crossed you are still in with a chance this month. Esp with the MN rule in place. Nice to have you back after your break.

Talking of naps... sound like DS's is over.

We've had a right fiasco this weekend. DS slipped and chipped his 2 top front teeth yesterday. We've been to the dentist today. Not fun! But everything is ok. Boys eh! At least it's his milk teeth but I could have and still may kill DH who was looking after him when it happened. Hey diddly doo...

eagle2010 · 15/09/2014 15:32

mrsdiddly, what wonderful news. I know you must be feeling apprehensive but hopefully everything will go smoothly and May next year will be a lovely happy month.

Sorry about the teeth Sad My DSIS did the same and the chips were very endearing while they lasted.

It's confirmed then - we must write a fertility book with 3 chapters:
Chapter 1. The Weebairn Method
Chapter 2. The Judy Blume Effect
Chapter 3. DTD in Close Proximity to ILs\Parental Types

mister, I hope the tests get to the bottom of things for you and you can make a definite plan afterwards.

junebaby2011 · 15/09/2014 18:43

MrsdGrin GrinGrinGrinGrinkeep us updated-thinking of you.

We only managed to Dtd once at the right time during this cycle-2/3 days before ovulation. I'm taking part in the clearblue fertility monitor trial and found I have ovulated much earlier than I expected this month... Day 13/14 compared to 16/17.

weebairn · 15/09/2014 18:49

I'm really happy for you mrsdiddlydoo! It's completely understandable how you can't relax and enjoy it yet, but I will be very happy for you anyway :)

Congratulations!

MrsConfusion · 15/09/2014 22:01

Yay MrsD lovely news. It'll take time to sink in and until you feel confident, but remember we're here if you want to chat or wobble anytime.

Tired out here so off to bed. Spent last 20 mins using hair-dryer to try to dry DD's bunny, which was still wet after this morning's toddler-milk-bunny crash. (not real bunny I hasten to add, but it's her bedtime cuddle toy). Bad news is, the more I dry it the more it smells, so I guess I didn't wash all the milk out. Argh! the bits of parenthood they don't tell you about... Smile

Hugs all round x

mrsdiddlydoo · 16/09/2014 11:21

junebaby I must admit I've used the clear blue dual hormone (or whatever they're called) ov tests the last 2 cycles. I always thought I knew when I ov but wanted to check. Used them sparingly and they never gave me a 4 day window, just straight to static smiley and I'm sure they helped us 'focus' our energy. Hope the trial works it magic for you!

And, thanks again everyone. Going to go keep myself busy cleaning whilst DS naps and get off here where the lure of Dr Google starts to prey on me...

cherrylola · 16/09/2014 20:51

Lovely to hear good news from so many of you! AV arrived a few days ago sadly, although it means my cycle is actually 33 days (much longer than I thought) so perhaps I was actually ov testing too early last month which I why I didn't get a LH surge registering. I gave up testing after the pack of 7 ran out and didn't feel in he mood to DTD much as DS and I had a rotten virus. Fingers crossed for his month then when AV buggers back off again Smile
Good luck everyone!

AnythingNotEverything · 16/09/2014 21:48

Cherry I came by to post a very similar message ... Nothing original to add, but here goes ...

So chuffed for all the BFPs. Keeping my fingers tightly crossed for an uneventful first trimester for you all.

I've almost finished my second AF. DD is almost 11 months so think we're ready to get cracking this month. It was all a bit half hearted last month due to other pressures, but we're going to try much harder this month. I think I ovulated last month. I'm not using OPK or anything, but I had ewcm and the overwhelming urge to DTD over one weekend, which I think is nature's way Grin

Cherry - hope we get the news we want this time next month Wink

princesscupcakemummyb · 18/09/2014 11:42

im ttc my 4th while breastfeeding my son he is 1 in november only just had my second cycle and they are all over so frustrating congrats to all who got their BFP hoping the rest of us get our beautiful BFP very soon

ToesAndFingers · 19/09/2014 09:12

Finding it very hard not obsess and symptom spot... A colleague announced she's expecting her second and is due in March... I wanted a spring baby!

This is the longest 2ww ever! Only 6dpo if I ov'ed on Sat... Confused anyone else in 2ww?

MisterSafetyCatchIsNotOn · 19/09/2014 09:50

I'm in 2ww too Toes, not sure exactly when I ovulated but it was sometime last week so about another week to go. I feel exactly the same as previous 2wws so far (hungry, weepy and crampy) so not holding out much hope. I also have a colleague who has just announced her second pregnancy due spring next year, very pleased for her but it makes it very difficult not to obsess!

mrsd I'm so pleased the new test confirmed things for you, May is a lovely time of year to have a baby I've always thought, you don't have to cope with a hot pregnant summer but you have a nice long spell before the autumn colds start to hit. Can I ask if you had any obvious symptoms during the 2ww? Sorry about DS's teeth, if it helps my DS had chipped his front tooth within 2 months of getting it and by now it's hardly noticeable. I don't even know how he did it, he wasn't walking then.

How are you doing mrsc, have you coped ok with DH away? I have a friend whose DD started to drop naps before 2 as well, she was rather miffed and I'm sure you really need that rest time at the moment so not ideal, although it does at least make it easier to plan your day as you don't need to factor in a 2 hour spell at home in the middle. Maybe it is just a phase and she will pick them up again.

Sorry about AF cherry, fingers crossed for next month now you have a better idea of when you ov.

Hi princess, wow ttc number 4 with a 1 year old! I find it tough enough with one 2 year old, fingers crossed for you too.

OP posts:
mrsdiddlydoo · 19/09/2014 13:14

Hi mister. I'm already starting to notice the chips less, but they are there and pretty obvious. Sure it's just love blinding me. As for symptoms, nothing majorly significant. I had the teeny tiniest bit of blood tinged CM about 6 days before AF was due. It's not unusual for me to spot just before AF so although this was earlier than expected I assumed it meant a short cycle for me. Then I'm afraid I had the most unpleasant stinky wind ever! Grin Thought maybe it was because I'd eaten some chicken and I rarely eat meat. But it happened the next day too. Just felt like AF was on her way. Bit crampy, moody etc.

I'm still feeling ok and counting every uneventful day as a blessing. I can't believe how scared I am of going to the loo though just in case I see something I don't want to see. Except for waves of tiredness and very slight moments of nausea, I'm feeling ok. Had bad HG with DS from really early on so think some MS would help me feel normal. Stupid isn't it.

How you feeling MrsC? Hope you're taking care of yourself.

Hello everyone else! Nearly the weekend everyone! Thank god... Thinking of the TTW-ers.

MisterSafetyCatchIsNotOn · 19/09/2014 13:37

Haha mrsd, pregnancy is such a glamorous condition, I sometimes wonder why I'm so keen to go through it again! I wish you just enough ms to reassure you, but definitely no HG Grin
