Over here all breastfeeding ttcers! Welcome to our thread - a place for us to come for support, information and to talk about the extra challenges of ttc while still breastfeeding (or expressing like myself).

I thought I should go ahead and start the new thread as the old one is about to fill up and I didn't want anyone to get lost (hope that's ok Waiting and that you haven't already done this and I just missed it!)

For anyone who is new to the thread or needs a reminder, here are a few links to some useful websites (thanks Waiting for putting these together)

Hello all, hope everyone's well.

Hope that the TWW isn't dragging too much.

I feel like every day is going very slowly at the moment. My scan will be on the 21st October when I'll be 10+6. Seems like an age away. I've been feeling ok, just tired and incredibly nauseous. Also, BFing has become really sore Sad DS only feeds from the right so I can't even give that side a break. Finding the nighttime feeding particularly hard going.

How are you feeling mrsc? Hope that things are getting better for you.

Here's to a nice weekend for everyone with lots of distractions for all (and Cake)

Having some PMS like symptoms here. Have slight back ache and very moody. Although the latter could be explained by DS waking up at 3.30 AM and not going back to sleep except a bit of dosing when he fed 5.30-6.30... I hope it doesn't mean AF is about to show up as it would be a ridiculously short cycle!

MrsD wishing you uneventful loo trips!

Eagle is that a private scan? I hope you start feeling better soon, hang in there!

Thanks for asking, been a tough week so I'm v glad it's friday! Just wish AF would arrive so I can start with clean slate as it were after mc. DH is out tonight at an engagement party so I might sneak off to bed early and read, luxury! (of course there's a ton of work I should be doing, and actually getting some done might help my stress levels, but right now I'm just so tired.......)

Hope you all have fun weekends planned? x

Hope you had a good sleep MrsConfusion.

I hear you on the tiredness eagle, I had a scan on Thursday to check dates (as no AF since 2011!) and was a real boost to see a tiny baby and a heartbeat. Smile

mrsdiddly I had HG with DD but have only been nauseous and sick a couple of times this pregnancy, KellyMom seems to indicate that feeding can alleviate MS for some people which is fab.

Is anyone doing the clearblue dual fertility opks? I have got 5 or so sealed sticks leftover which I could pop in the post next week if anyone wants them for a long cycle/next cycle.

Hope everyone else is getting on well this weekend and for a flurry of bfps soon. Smile

Gunpowder, how lovely that you've seen baba and heard the heartbeat! Smile What's your EDD?

Toes, my scan is under the public system - I don't live in the UK though so things might be slightly different here (Ireland).

MrsD, I've also read and heard anecdotally that BF can reduce/alleviate the symptoms of HG. I worked with a lady who suffered badly with HG throughout her second pregnancy but was fine on her third. I know all these stories won't take the anxiousness away.

Well AF arrived tonight. Had more PMS symptoms this month and also some cramps, which were usual pre-DS.

However, this cycle was yet another day shorter. 22 days. Confused Wtf excuse my French?

Trying hard and failing to stay positive. I need to lose some weight so that's something to focus on but... Sad

MrsConfusion · 22/09/2014 22:59

So sorry AF got you toes, rotten luck. Sounds like you need to give yourself some TLC tonight. Cycles are just so confusing. Sad Get some sleep and see if you feel more positive in the morning. Hugs.

Hope you are feeling bit better today toes. Don't feel defeated. How long is your cycle usually? At least with short cycles, you get another chance without having to wait an eternity.

Well sil presented us with their 12 week scan photos today. Not a shock, their DS is 2, but still makes me feel a bit blurgh. We haven't announced our news yet, and our families don't know about our MC earlier this year. Kind of makes it more difficult 'coming out'. Would hate to steal the limelight (not that we would) but wouldn't want to announce and then denounce should bad things happen. God this isn't a happy post! Sorry ladies. I had been toying with sharing our news because we need the support and some positivity, but now my head is all in a spin. Again.

Other than that. Nothing new here. Nice and boring. Hope it stays this way. Hmm

toes, sorry about AF. But it has to be a good sign that you felt a bit more like you did pre - DS. A sign that your fertility is returning to normal maybe?

mrsdiddly, sorry to hear of family announcement adding to your spinning head. I hope that with each day that goes by you feel better.

It's so hard to know when's right to tell family I think. I'd love to tell my Mum and sister but both my Mum and aunt miscarried their second pregnancies so that is weighing very heavily on my mind. The end of the first trimester really can't come soon enough for me. At least I have DS for distraction and keeping busy!

My EDD is May 13th but I'm feeling too superstitious to join the May antenatal thread just yet Confused

Hello to everyone else Smile

Hi ladies, I am after a little advice please :) My DS was 6 months on 4th Sept and af first returned on 25th August, I used to have regular 25 day cycles. I monitored this cycle by checking CM but don't seem to have ovulated, is that normal? Also AF still hasn't shown up and I was due on Monday. Do a FRER but it's negative. I'm so confused! DS is ebf still also x

Hi megs, I found my second cycle after the return of AF to be the most confusing one.

It ended up being 48 days long, I don't think I noticed any signs of ovulation but I did POAS a few times because I felt horrendous. Nausea, bloating, dizziness. Looking back now I think that cycle was the one that kickstarted my return to fertility.

My next cycle was 33 days and then during the next one I was lucky enough to get pg.

Hope that helps a bit and good luck ttc!

Thank you so much! I have had all those signs too which is why I have been so confused. Normally my cm is as it should be during ov but this time nothing. Fingers crossed for next cycle...
Congratulations on your pg, hope it goes smoothly for u xx

Another newbie here Smile I was just wondering if many people have had success conceiving before af returned? Dc3 is 10m and with my other dcs af didn't return until stopping bf at 18/20m. Im aiming to keep bf longer this time but would like #4 asap. Wishful thinking?!

MisterSafetyCatchIsNotOn · 24/09/2014 18:46

We're about to run out of space, anyone fancy starting a new thread?

ispyfispi I think Gunpowder has just this month conceived with the first egg Smile I know someone else irl who had the same when her dd was under 1 year so it's certainly possible. If you've never had AF return until stopping bf though then I would think likely you won't release an egg until then this time as well, but you never know it could be different this time around!

Nothing much going on here, just waiting for AF to arrive, somewhere between 11 and 14 dpo. Feeling a bit low and teary about the whole thing but partly because DH is away and I'm having a hard week.

Hope all the first trimesterers are ok and avoiding too much ms so far!

Thanks mister, hope you're feeling better? I'm rather regretting missing the apparently super fertile time immediately post-birth but it wasn't really on my mind back then!
I've just ordered 30 ovulation predictor sticks, if I do one every day for a month should I be able to see if I'm ovulating or not? Unlikely I know but ever hopeful!

Thanks ladies for support, you are all so wonderful Flowers

My cycles used to be about 26 days, give or take, so still shortish. I don't mind them short, and you are right MrsD, at least I don't have to wait too long for the next one. But it's not the initial period before ovulation that's short, but the LP, and it's bugging me. Although I don't know for sure, and no idea what it was before DS. I guess it's better to just not know?

I shouldn't have gotten so upset, I guess I had a bit of hormone explosion that eve! I should relax about all this TTC business and get a grip. It took about 6 months to conceive DS so why am I in such a rush? I should know it takes time... Last time I got my BFP after I stopped worrying about it.

DH and I spoke about it over the weekend and I told him I really really really really want another baby Grin so we agreed we need to put much more Weebairn effort this month!

I wish things remain nice and boring for you MrsD and Eagle!
