Sorry about the wind damage RP Wine. Weather has been horrendous here today. Scary stuff.
Birdy sorry to hear about the IVF delay but the time will fly by. Once you've got your baby in your arms you won't give this hideous journey a second though.
Barking class is a sort of 'Improve your Welsh cos you haven't done anything for years'. Am by no means fluent as not really done anything since school. Am Blush that I can speak 4 other languages better than the language of my own country!

RevoltingPeasant · 06/02/2014 07:15

Morning all!

Gill how are you doing? Haven't seen you for a day or two?

No AF yet but many symptoms..... Come on, get it over with, body!

CatsCantFlyFast · 06/02/2014 09:30

Still stalking you all and sending good vibes
nice chart Grin

Gillster · 06/02/2014 10:01

I'm fine RP thanks for asking. Sorry for the house related issues. We've just paid for a new roof which looks great but wasn't cheap. Hoping this IVF cycle works from a financial point of view as much as anything as we'll be private after that unless we manage to get some frosties. Had blood test on Weds and think all was OK as they didn't tell me to change my dose. Have another blood test tomorrow and I think I get scanned on Sunday. Had to do 2 injections last night, they're a bit stingy but not too bad.

ladybunnikins · 06/02/2014 11:29

Two very nice charts, RP and Barking!

BoodleDoo · 06/02/2014 11:43

My chart is a weird one this month so far. It seems to think I ovulated day 12, which is unheard of for me. Day 12 was also the day I got a positive OPK, like you, Barking. I doubt I ovulated the same day that I got my positive.

CatsCantFlyFast · 06/02/2014 11:44

RP I'm not ignoring your chart, I just kind of disagree with FF and think you are only 9dpo today

IamKuma · 06/02/2014 14:15

RP sorry to hear the weather is giving you a beating; I sympathise, we also have water coming in through two walls and think we are going to need to re-render at the front of the house. Grrr

Gill Glad to hear things are going OK with you Smile

I saw the NHS FC today and they say they might give me one try of natural cycle IVF - their committee(!) will review my stats on Tuesday. Please keep berry fingers and toes crossed for me. If they say yes, my first appointment is 2nd April. Published stats for natural cycle seem to vary massively, with 16% at best, 3% at worst. But its cheaper than regular IVF so even if NHS won't accept me I could get twice as many cycles for my money, I suppose.

BoodleDoo · 06/02/2014 14:48

We've got water coming in and a fence down too. Still, can't complain when I see the news footage of the south west.

In other news, the 'teenager in the 90s' thread in classics is brilliant! Go and have a look; there's so much stuff I'd forgotten!!!

BlueBirdy · 06/02/2014 16:06

Thanks all - I have my positive pants on today Smile

Happy GRR at your tutor Shock biff him on the nose next time he pulls a stunt like that! Grin

Barking sounds like you are better off without her then. Hope the other bridesmaids are behaving and being supportive. And going back a bit - could you walk that lovely run that you can't do at your wedding? If it's after the wedding you could do it in your dress and a pair of running shoes, might make cute photos anyway?

Kuma will NHS not offer regular IVF? Because they don't want to waste eggs or because they are worried you would get over stimulated? I was reading my info pack and it said that with natural cycle IVF the success rate is very poor and that NICE don't recommend it, and 'therefore they do not offer it at the clinic'. Maybe they only don't as my clinic is a bit rubbish though, and maybe yours is really good at it? Confused sorry it's not exactly positive but thought I would share anyway, esp if you are going to be possibly paying for it yourself. Do you know what the private FC say about it or are they one and the same? Sorry again - I didn't want to put a downer on things!

Sid hope the symptoms ease, and hope all is going well for you Gill!

Ooh Bunny could you find out on Monday if you have twins then??

Arrgg this weather is awful!! Sorry to hear about the leaky homes and wayward fences! I'm in the southwest and luckily it's not flooded where we live but I have to work outside in this weather and it is not fun.

Gillster · 06/02/2014 16:32

Ooo exciting Kuma, will be keeping everything crossed that this gets approved. What is natural IVF? Do they give you the drugs but leave everything in situ? Although the rates aren't great it must be better than the current situation. That's what I keep telling myself anyway!

Also nightmare with the leaking walls. I feel your pain. I sleep much better knowing that the roof should now be watertight although can't help thinking about how many IVF cycles we could have got with the money.

IamKuma · 06/02/2014 17:29

Natural IVF is when they don't bother with the stimulants and just monitor a natural cycle. I think the reason they don't want to do 'normal' IVF is because I have high FSH, low AMH and a low ovarian reserve. As I'm not responding to my own FSH, they can't stimulate ovulation using artificial stimulant so there isn't much point in wasting money on the drugs. I have read on Create's website (although it may just be hype) that an egg produced naturally is of better quality, but they would say that Hmm.

blue the natural IVF seems to be my only NHS possible option; I don't know what the private clinic will say but I expect they will be able to give me more options as they are not budget constrained other than by my budget. They treat a lot of patients with low ovarian reserve so I guess they have plenty of experience.

boodle boo to your water ingress too Angry; but yes, at least we don't have flooding to deal with.

HampshireBlues · 06/02/2014 17:58

Kuma good luck with the natural cycle - at least the NHS are doing something.

Boodle boo on the water, hope that it all gets sorted and have to say that I really hope it stops raining soon - not sure how much more water logged this country can get!

So definitely having a bad day - got a text from a friend today announcing her pregnancy; so that is 3 of my close friends on the baby waggon and I cannot help but feel that I am getting left behind. I have been fairly upbeat up until now (even with the bestie announcing on NYE her pregnancy) but this one has tipped me over the edge. Burst into tears and hid in the toilet. Luckily I was only in work for the morning but am home alone Sad

Sorry need twanging - quick someone knock me out!

On a more positive note glad that the injections are going well Gill good luck for the scans on Sunday - hope you're not feeling too much like a pin cushion!

BlueBirdy · 06/02/2014 18:06

Kuma it is good to hear that they will consider that option anyway! Been looking more into it and think my FC must just have a snooty attitude towards it as they won't bother with it (I think it is more complicated to work out dates etc). So FX they give you the go ahead! Then there is always the private as back up (which is what I'm telling myself too!). At least we have these options - imagine having these problems in the 'olden days' Sad

BlueBirdy · 06/02/2014 18:07

HB Noooo - have Thanks instead. You are allowed to feel sad - that is rough!

RevoltingPeasant · 06/02/2014 19:03

Gill you are really brave with the injections. It sounds like it is all going according to plan!

Kuma good news, a bit Hmm can't believe there is a bloody committee!

Merk agreed. I normally OV on 16 or 17 never 13. So I think CD16 + 9 dpo. Really hoping I don't have a stupid short LP again Angry

Bunnygirlie · 06/02/2014 20:12

Hello hello, still here!

gill are you doing the jabs yourself? Hubby did mine lol

kuma hope you get the result you want from the 'committee'

birdy don't say the T word! I just hope there is something in there at all, scary!

Grrrrrrrrrr to all the water damage Sad

HB sorry you are feeling blue Flowers

Hey everyone, thinking of you all

OP posts:
BoodleDoo · 06/02/2014 20:20

I'm going to have to learn to do the jabs myself as man-lump won't be around when I'm doing them; how selfish is that?! Wink

HB, sorry about the announcement, but I did chuckle at the 'twanging' rather than the wanging! Is this the evolution of our favourite method of assault?!

Gillster · 06/02/2014 20:24

Doing the jabs myself Bunny, hubbie is rarely home in time to even observe me.

Bunnygirlie · 06/02/2014 20:44

Ooh I am such a wimp, my man lump did all mine!

OP posts:
barkingtreefrog · 06/02/2014 21:23

Well, it's official, no shotgun wedding for me Sad . Bad acne, bad cramps and enough blood to put in a tampon rather than go to yoga wearing a sanitary towel (ew). AF is in the building.
I'm only on cd23 and 8dpo so if I didn't ov on the same day I got my +opk my LP has got even more ridiculous Sad . I really thought my cycles were finally sorted but 22 days?!?! Pre mc it was 31 Sad .

BoodleDoo · 06/02/2014 21:23

OK, chart fans, I think FF's got it wrong this month. here

I reckon CD14 is most likely ovulation date? The dip on CD 12 is very low, even for me, and I wonder if I dozed back off and let the thermometer slip out of position...it was a Sunday temp after all!

I always seem to get a slow rise after ovulation, so the CD15 temp would make sense.

BoodleDoo · 06/02/2014 21:27

Oh, bugger it, Barking. Let's hope this is just your body doing its final adjustments before getting back to normal. Did you take clomid on this last cycle?

barkingtreefrog · 06/02/2014 21:37

Yep. Just one round of clomid left unless the FC give me some more. I think I'll wait until a 'proper' flow before starting my last set. Despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary including hideous cramps and bloating here's still a totally delusional side to me that thinks there's a chance I could be pg. Confused

barkingtreefrog · 06/02/2014 22:16

Ok boodle I give up. Where's that bloody thread?!
