Berries have a strict entrance criteria (TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 6+months (preferably 12+) NO instadiffers, must have a special pot and def no mention of baby dust or baby dancing UGH !!! Ooooh aren’t we strict!

Just popping in to say hi - having trouble keeping up with everything! I did say I was more of a lurker...

Had my first acupuncture appointment on Sat. It was nice to talk to someone who didn't dismiss my concerns about my cycle. Not sure how I feel about the acupuncture itself - just felt like someone sticking needles in my legs really. Not sure what I was hoping for...

I'm going to see how it goes for a little while. The therapist is ordering some herb powders for me which I should be able to pick up next week and start making into delicious tea Grin

ambler I'm sticking with it too. Had my second session last week and it felt weird after the magic first session I had before Christmas.

How is everyone else? Have missed a lot on the thread by the looks of things as I wasn't around this weekend. My latest (brand new) thermometer has broken. It's was one of this Baby Mad ones. Anyone know of a reliable one I could buy?

Yeah my Baby Mad is inherited (I'm assuming she took her temps orally not vaginally!!) and is over 2 years old and works fine.

feather same from me as the others, never had a problem with my babymad (and I agree, what a bloody stupid name).
rp that's good to know, I have an unheathy concern about the battery running out on mine after well over a year of daily use and me panicking the morning I wake up and can't find out what my bbt is!!

merk Yes, it's the first time since pre mc my temps have risen above cover line and they've stayed up. FF has it down as cd32 but I think it might be cd36? Obviously this far into the cycle I'd completely abandoned shag week but to have ovulated would be a bonus even if there were no swimmers hanging around to meet the egg! I'm going to hold off asking the gp for the provera just to see if I get AF without it. I have very bad acne right now which would suggest it's on it's way.

Ooh by the way maybe one of you can help here. My NY resolution was to do more stuff to encourage conception so I've reduced coffee sob and am eating more protein. Are there any books anyone would recommend for natural fertility?

RP DH and I have bother switched to decaf coffee AND tea Confused and we are trying to have broccoli with every dinner - no advice on any books though, i'm afraid.

Third time lucky with the thermometer Feather!

Ooh thanks! Broccoli, eh? Interesting. DH doesn't have caffeine anyhow so that's one battle I don't have to fight! Any other tips appreciated! Will check out that book though the title does sound a little snake oily....?

Oh no I have a proper phobia of broccoli. Can't even look at a picture of it. Really hope it isn't an infertility cure!! MIL told me I should be eating more sprouts if I want to get diffed (although shes a bit off the wall so ive no idea where this actually came from). Can't stand those either. Looks like I'm screwed!!

rp I've been reading 'The Baby Making Bible', which talks a lot about diet and getting your body ready. Lots of leafy greens is the common theme. It's written from an 'alternative' perspective and is probably most relevant to people going down the acupuncture route.

birdy I gave up on the brewing of the herbs. It's faffy, time consuming, it stinks the house out, and makes me wretch when I try to drink the foul stuff.
I've got tablets this week Grin .

Well, in the shower this morning I definitely noticed a tiny bit of blood coloured cm. Went to the toilet this afternoon and there was blood when I wiped.

So. Do I start the clomid tomorrow?!?!Hmm

barking I would wait till you are on day two of 'proper flow' till you hit the clomid - my FC are very pushy about that aspect, and it makes sense. Day one of af is when it shows up properly, bot when you're spotting.

rp The Infertility Cure, from what I've read is very much based on Chinese Herbal Medicine.

happy your phobia news made me laugh out loud! Sorry, but I thought it was just my family that was weird - my brother has a sponge cake phobia ("I always think it will swell up in my throat and choke me") and my SIL has an aversion to buttons!

Just did my 5th spin class in a week. Got acupuncture tomorrow and af feels like she may be on her way, which means I can have my hsg not long after! Can't wait to know what the deal is as getting very impatient now.

How's everyone else?
