Yey bunny!! Are you feeling ok? Are you back home now?

wino it really is the worst 2ww isn't it? It does speed up after that though, I promise! When you're feeling up to it the copter is just here

HampshireBlues · 09/01/2014 19:13

Evening All,

Has work been bad for anyone else?! I think that everyone is back in work and with a vengeance!

So DH had his SA today, and tomorrow we see the Consultant and Nurse at the clinic where we will have our IVF. The week I have had trying to get hold of test results etc. has been so maddening - it is bad enough that I have to pay for IVF but could do without the GP surgery giving me the runaround because I want a copy of the results of a test that I would have a letter about anyway. So having to leave it to the wire and should hopefully get it tomorrow on the way to the clinic.

A little apprehensive to be honest and not really sure what to expect - any advice would be appreciated. I have absolutely no idea what questions to ask and am really hoping that we remember to ask everything....

Wino I hope you can find things to do that makes the 2ww bearable and Bunny that you have much fertilization!

Bunnygirlie · 09/01/2014 21:23

Feeling ok thanks kitty feeling bit periody/stitch like on right side where they took the eggs from. I was home by lunchtime!

Win ooooh!!

My goodness Bunny how exciting!! How are you feeling tonight? I'd be biting my nails like mad.

Barking I love that her giving birth to a devil makes it all okay - ahh, go on, be preggers, as long as it's Satan's I don't mind.... Grin

Erm so in my total lack of news AF just kinda hasn't arrived..... Just sort of spotting and then nothing. So not CD1 at all!

However to make up for that disappointment I had a £500 car bill today and got home to find water spreading THROUGH the wall from the rain. Good times.....

barkingtreefrog · 09/01/2014 22:21

Woohoo win!!!!

CatsCantFlyFast · 09/01/2014 23:12

Win sorry I missed your news earlier. A tentative congratulations and here for support through the next 2 weeks

FeatherFeather11 · 09/01/2014 23:25

Great news bunny! So pleased it went well. Hopefully a bunny bfp will be on the way soon. Flowers

Agree with barking, RP - poas!!

Had acupuncture last night. As suspected by a lot of you, my temps perplexed her. I have a new thermometer now so it's back to the drawing board. She thought my body was trying to ovulate or had ovulated the other day when I had spotting, so she stuck some pins in to see if she could help it all along. Who knows!

Good luck tomorrow hampshire - got everything crossed for you that it goes smoothly.

Hope everyone else is well! I'm exhausted! Spin class number 4 since Saturday was tonight. For the first time in my life I can see how people get addicted to exercise.

PuppyMummy · 10/01/2014 06:48

oh bunny fingers crossed for you, glad its gone well so far.

win we were told something similar, that I hav poor quality eggs and that we would prob need ivf to concieve and if we did we would hav a lower than normal chance of it working, because of the egg quality.
However I got pregnant naturally just before we started so they dont always know what will happen. Wink
fingers crossed for you to!

BlindKitty · 10/01/2014 07:03

Ah forgot about puppy's FUFC!!! Since wino didn't make it to the fc it's more of a FUGP!! Grin

barking have you ever seen 'Rosemary's baby'? The film is older than us but it still scares the crap out of me! I remember my dad telling me not to watch it when I was little so I got up after they went to bed and watched it (but wished I hadn't lol) Shock

bunny I thought you were meant to be in pain feeling sorry for yourself after ec??? You're obviously made of string stuff Wink

barkingtreefrog · 10/01/2014 07:47

kitty, not seen it and not sure I want to!

Well, wtf is going on with my <a class="break-all" href="http://FertilityFriend.com/home/3c06f2/]FertilityFriend.com/home/3c06f2/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">chart ?!?! It's been up and down all over the place but there's been a steady increase for the last 5 days (which isn't normal in itself, I'd usually jump to above coverline, not creep up) and for the first time since the mc I've got a temp above coverline (apart from when I took the provera, but presumably that was the progesterone in the tablets making my temp rise). Is it possible that I ovulated on CD32 even though that's ridiculously late and my cycle started without a cycle iyswim?

(CD1 was rigged as AF for FF purposes. Even though it was just spotting-when-I-wiped I thought it was CD1 and took the clomid the next day, so reset my cycle to see if the clomid would give me a cycle anyway).
Isn't CD32 ridiculously late to Ov? Could it just be AF on the way?

Very confusing.

ladybunnikins · 10/01/2014 08:59

Barking I ovulated on CD32/33 on my last cycle (first since chemical) so definitely possible, but I usually ovulate late-ish (around CD21).
This was my chart (the Nov 12th one)
chart

barkingtreefrog · 10/01/2014 09:07

Thanks for that lady. I've never ovulated later than cd22 so as I'd already had faint lines on opks which went back to snowy white without getting a + I'd given up pimping thinking it wasn't going to happen again, especially as if the clomid was going to make me ov I wouldn't have thought it would take that long!!! Well, if I did finally ovulate, maybe I will get AF as well!!

Maybe the acupuncture is doing something?!

Bunnygirlie · 10/01/2014 10:40

Just had the call, 2 fertilised and going back tomorrow morning for the transfer.

The embrylologist had to mention that there is a small chance that the cells might not divide overnight so of course I'm now stressing while trying to be positive aaaaaagh!

I need wanging!

OP posts:
winohhh · 10/01/2014 10:52

Eek! Fingers crossed for the call this morning bunny! I hope you have lots of fertilised eggs!

HB- hope you managed to pick up your results, and the appointment goes ok.

Barking, I know! I can't quite believe just how rubbish my GP actually was. I like to give people the benefit of the doubt, but really it's shocking! I think your chart looks good for ovulation (bearing in mind ive only charted one month so have little experience!!) Opk's didn't really work for me this cycle, they were all over the place. I got a dip before I ovulated which prompted a last minute ddt session.

Puppy, thanks for that, always reassuring to hear that it can work out!!

Thanks everyone for the tentative congrats. I'm still finding it hard to process whats happened. I keep doing hpt's and the line is getting darker which is a bit reassuring, but only for a minute! We could go for another blood test today to see if the hcg is doubling but I don't think I will. I figure if it's good news it will only make me feel better for a day, and if it's bad, we'll find out soon enough. Do you think that's silly? I figure there's nothing they can do at this stage snyway.

winohhh · 10/01/2014 10:56

Cross post bunny! Congratulations on getting two fertilised! Fingers crossed theyre busy dividing as we speak/ type. Will you get both put back?

HampshireBlues · 10/01/2014 12:06

Yay Bunny will continue to keep everything crossed!

Good news Win am impressed on the cool head.

Managed to get test results so can go to my appointment with the hope of no unexpected bills Smile

barkingtreefrog · 10/01/2014 14:58

Jessica Bloody Ennis. That is all.

SidneyBristow · 10/01/2014 15:36

Win this is sooooo exciting and like HB I'm totally impressed by how levelheaded you're being. Hoping the day comes very soon for you where you feel comfortable in your excitement and can trust that it's real! (FWIW I'm such a basketcase at this point that I doubt I'll feel anything is real til a baby exits my body!! Wink)

AF here today, but v light, so am about to watch a TV show guaranteed to make me cry, and then get started cleaning - a very trying houseguest coming tomorrow for the day, so my weekend can only improve from there. The only thing keeping me from totally dissolving is that we are fully on track now to start our IVF cycle at the end of the month...no more debating, or researching, or diagnostic appointments, this shit is real and it kind of feels like it's happening to someone else. I'd imagine we've all felt that way at one time or another.

RevoltingPeasant · 10/01/2014 18:14

Kitty what?! Rosemary's Baby is HILARIOUS! Satan is basically a tall man in a fur suit who comes through the wall. I laughed until I couldn't speak at that. Mind you I also think The Exorcist is very funny so maybe just me.

barking sorry, I can't be pg :) We had a month off ttc for Xmas and because of DH medical condition (ED) we have to consciously decide to have penetrative sex as he has to take a pill for it to work. So no ttc = no pill = no sex since last AF. Deffo not diffed!

It is weird though, since my last AF I keep getting symptoms that if they were in the 2ww I would totally think were pg symptoms, like random nausea and such. Just goes to show how you keep spotting them!

bunny how exciting!!! Oh gosh. Will they transfer/ implant them both then? Sorry, don't know how these things work! Everything xed for you.

BlindKitty · 10/01/2014 18:48

barking take my dad's advice and don't! Don't listen to rp, she's clearly some kind of hard-nut Wink

wino my fc actually refused to do a blood test, which on reflection, was probably a good thing. You can drive yourself mad with blood tests and hpts I only did about 13

bunny one in the freezer and one in the oven?! Whoop whoop!! Grin

barkingtreefrog · 10/01/2014 19:11

Well, some of the acupuncture today hurt. Really bad. The acupuncturist said something was happening in my body and I was probably ovulating. FC secretary called me back. She said to go to the GP and get more provera. As the FC sent a letter to the gp when they prescribed it in October the GP should be ok prescribing it this time. If I have ovulated I think I'd like to try waiting another week just to see if I do bleed on my own though.

I don't really know what to do though. Not sure whether to take more clomid yet (after the provera brings on a bleed) or wait another cycle. I'm worried that I'm not bleeding enough therefore there's nothing lining my womb. Does that make sense? If I ovulate properly on the clomid next time I don't want to get pg if I'm at risk of losing it again. Then again, the acupuncture might be working and it would work to support the pg as well. Confused Why can't it just be simple?!

funkymonk · 10/01/2014 19:27

Congratulations Win and good news on the lines getting darker! If you are concerned about potential low progesterone could you ask the fc to prescribe you some progesterone supplements?

Yay to Bunny on the little fertilised eggies! Very excited for you!

Barking, boooo to Jessica Ennis and her accidental diffing. Grrr. On the plus side just think of how much exercise she does and she managed to get a good diffing!! Sorry won't be much good at giving you any advice around Clomid. How does the provera work? Do you take it for a few days to build up your progesterone to kick-start a period?

Hope your day with the MIL isnt too bad Sid.

winohhh · 10/01/2014 20:11

Thanks kitty, I'm down to one test a day, in the morning. I've stopped temping. I thought that would drive me crazy.

Barking, my acupunture hurts sometimes too, certain points on my leg/ foot/ hand really sting. I think it helps the placebo effect tho, so I'm okay with it!! It's okay once she's put them in, and I dosed off yesterday!

Funky, the FC prescribed progesterone, but after they got my blood results (had them done on wed) they said I didn't need to take it. I had good levels surprisingly.
