Ladies, Fred title says it all; we are the ones who shag as much as our men can cope with in order to get upduffed without the stress of scientific whatnots!

Fred rules (copied from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others.

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit). Or PIATLH (Tea light holder) PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in!

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession.

Contraband = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

So that's a bit exciting and all brand new Mrs W! Can things get going straight after coil is out, or do you have to wait at all? Smile

OP posts:
MrsW2909 · 18/11/2013 09:42

Aparently as soon as the coil is out u can get pregnant which is exciting although im not expecting anything for a few months just to stop the dissapointment. If uv had sex in the 5 days previous to it coming out u can conceive that day if it falls on the right time.
My partner is begging me every day to have it taken out ( i already have 2 children from a previous rship) as i have been trying to wait until my youngest starts school which she does next september so iv booked the coil out and its a bit of a suprise as he doesnt know yet. Cant wait to see his reaction when i finally get to tell him :-)

QuarksInAPearTickle · 18/11/2013 10:47

Hellooo MrsW, welcome!

Hope everyone is ok this morning????

I had more promising symptoms over the weekend, tired, boobs felt like they were on fire, dog wouldn't leave me alone, nausea and shock horror my gin tasted horrible yesterday!

But alas today I think I just spotted some spotting!

Off to the pity hot tub for me, I have apple cake if anyone wants to join! Sad

MrsW2909 · 18/11/2013 11:00

Morning Quarks :-)

Havent experienced it yet but it must be so gutting/frustrating when AF arrives, think im slowly gonna turn into a crazy woman over the next 6 months ha.

I have a day off today with my DD2, she has spots appeared on her legs last night and doc said theyr either hives which isnt contagious or chicken pox which is... And shes in nursery for the rest of the week which could turn into a nightmare if they send her home as i have zero holiday to take now. The joys of children and work!

Minion · 18/11/2013 15:22

On no quark, hopefully it's implantation spotting!
Hi mrsw welcome welcome! Good luck JSing.

Well today we've had an offer accepted on a house we love in a fabulous area so well chuffed! I'm very excited. It has apple and pear trees in the garden.. Heavenly.
Managed to bump uglies a bit but not applying pressure so I'll continue till ERTD shows up now...x

Waggamamma · 18/11/2013 16:03

congratulations on the house minion hopefully you can fill it with babies too Grin .

I'm at work, loads to do but really bored so mumsnetting of course. I still suspect my boss is pregnant bitch. Just about to enter the fertile week so better get my cape on.

We're off to a wedding this weekend. I've never been to a wedding except my aunts when I was 5. So looking forward to that, my plan is to drink lots of wine and seduce dp Wink . My friend who has two beautiful children less than two years apart said at the weekend 'vodka gets you pregnant honestly it worked for me twice'....Angry so that's where we're going wrong ladies obviosly not drinking enough vodka. What a stupid thing to say she knows I lost a baby this year.

FurryScoob · 18/11/2013 17:13

Hello mrsw nice to meet you

minion good luck with the house buying

wagga I love vodka but so far it's not got me a BFP but sod it I'll keep drinking if it's gonna help Grin

Tomorrow is our 5 year anniversary, I was hoping to surprise DP with a BFP but AF messed up my plans last week. On our first date we spent a day together and then DP left me to go & watch an England match, tomorrow England are playing again but this time he's missing the footy to take me to see Dirty Dancing while we're in London. Smile

juniper81 · 18/11/2013 20:27

hello, much finger and toe crossing it's implantation quark.
Good luck for the house minion sounds lovely and maybe this is the month?
Go go cape action wagga. I stopped drinking for TTC but developed my taste for it again lately. I'll stop feeling so bad about it if it has such magical properties. What a very well kept secret!
Have a lovely anniversary furry, Dirty Dancing will be awesome. We had our seven year anniversary this year and saw Matilda which was a lot of fun.

Another BFN this morning. Boo! Not sure if I said upthread but I was trying the "testing a lot towards AF date" and I've been getting lots of BFNs so I guess just waiting for ERTD to show up. I've found doing the testing has made it a lot easier and I've not been symptom spotting or anything like that. I am feeling disappointed etc but it's not going to be such a shock to the system as it usually is! So for me, this approach has worked.

juniper81 · 18/11/2013 21:53

Oh how rude of me, hello and welcome Mrsw Smile

Nessalina · 19/11/2013 09:10

Morning all Smile Survived my first day back at work yesterday, everyone was lovely and no one said anything stupid or insensitive, so that was good!! Day off today (woo!) so nice gentle start... As of Weds I'm working every day til the following Saturday with only Sunday off though Shock
Juniper, I found that. I couldn't resist testing anyway, so I was so pleased when I bought the bumper pack of internet cheapies that I could go POAS crazy and not feel guilty that I was wasting £5 a time Blush
Minion - great news on the house! Grin How fantastic to have found 'the one', you've been looking for a fair while haven't you?
Any developments Quark? Tide or no tide? Fx no tide Wink

Minion · 19/11/2013 12:30

nessa just about a year now yep so hopefully this will be it! So glad your first day went well and there were no feet in mouth moments from colleagues! You're stronger than you know kid x

MrsW1131 · 19/11/2013 13:36

where did you buy your tests from nessalina? i was thinking of bulk buying online too but wasnt sure where to get the best deal!

MrsW1131 · 19/11/2013 13:38

oh and hi Juniper :-)

Glad your first day back went ok Nessalina..

Nyssalina · 19/11/2013 14:38

checks back over the considerable volume of Amazon purchases made since March

Aha! I bought these pee sticks which worked fabulously, got my BFP on 'em no problem, and at 18p a go, no guilt at all!

Incidentally, I certainly didn't also purchase any of these contraband items... Wink

MrsW0931 · 19/11/2013 14:53

Thanks :-) iv just purchased a 20 pack...even tho my coil isnt due out for another week, got to get prepared! ha.

I think im going to be too scared to use ovulation sticks incase my body just never ovulates! - unliklely but im too worried something will go wrong probably due to my hypocondriac husband who is convinced he cant conceive already (hes a 25 yr old healthy male) and we havent even started trying yet!

MrsW0931 · 19/11/2013 14:54

Link

I found these which worked out even cheaper...didnt know pregnancy tests could be found so cheap!

Nyssalina · 19/11/2013 15:40

Awesome! Grin

juniper81 · 19/11/2013 16:05

If anyone does want any contraband please pm me, I've got 90 odd of those which I'll never use as I now definitely do not have Ultimate Contraband (CBFM). Please don't excommunicate me though!

Just had interview. Not sure what I think about the job and not sure what I think about them. The male manager was quite hot though. Oh, and ertd showed up for the occasion. What a day!

MrsW0931 · 19/11/2013 16:20

sorry for being dumb but what are contraband?

And what was the job for?

Nyssalina · 19/11/2013 19:25

Contraband are all science-type methods of assisting conception, which obviously as JSers we wouldn't DREAM of using. Ahem. Most common infractions against this rule occurs with the use of OPKs (ovulation prediction kits?) which are pee stick that tell you when you're about to ovulate.

1974rach · 19/11/2013 19:43

Oooh naughty contraband. Haven't bought any ....yet....

Am I allowed to just try opk's once just to see? Promise I won't keep doing naughty contraband things.Grin

Nyssalina · 19/11/2013 20:45

That's between you and your conscience Rach... Wink

juniper81 · 19/11/2013 20:55

Don't buy! I'll send you some. I have NINETY. Please, save my cupboards. ;) PM me if you're interested. I couldn't get on with them as you have to hold your wee for ages and that is not ever going to happen.

Glad work was ok Nyssa/Nessa. So horrible when you're having to brace for awful comments but yay for not getting any.

Just had a text from a friend who's "desperate for a catch up with me. We all know what that means. Why can't they just email?!
