Ladies, Fred title says it all; we are the ones who shag as much as our men can cope with in order to get upduffed without the stress of scientific whatnots!

Fred rules (copied from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others.

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit). Or PIATLH (Tea light holder) PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in!

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession.

Contraband = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

Wow, sorry to hear that cookie Sad 'really really really rare' is good though right? Unlikely that both of you are carriers? Hope you're ok and not stressing too much, really hope it turns out ok for you Thanks

OP posts:
cookielove · 15/11/2013 17:26

Yes in a way it is quite lucky it is so rare, a good chance it is just one of those things and it will be ok. Fingers crossed any way.

ZingWantsGin · 15/11/2013 21:59

cookie

that's the reason why.
poor you. I won't tell you to not worry, coz I would, but I hope & pray that the blood test will show you that you can have children. fx for you.

when will you have the results?

cookielove · 15/11/2013 22:16

They said a couple of weeks!

Nessalina · 15/11/2013 23:27

Well we've all got our fingers crosses for you. A 'couple of weeks' is nicely vague when you must be dying to know Confused

OP posts:
Nessalina · 15/11/2013 23:29

Tomorrow is officially me & DHs 'allowed to get our cape on' day! Unfortunately the witch has yet to leave the building Hmm Two weeks FFS!!! Never know owt like it.

thelentil · 16/11/2013 09:00

DP still hasn't registered with doc to do SA, let alone do his SA. I asked him this morning and he's said something about my "sense of urgency"

Oh dear, if he was trying to push buttons he couldn't have done a better job than to imply I'm getting desperate

Is it ok to have cake for breakfast?

fifi669 · 16/11/2013 09:43

Cake is a suitable meal substitute at any time of the day...

thelentil · 16/11/2013 10:04

Excellent, it goes so well with my breakfast glass of wine Wink

Nessalina · 16/11/2013 10:05

Definitely. MIL & PIL are arriving in 30mins for a day of DIY around our house. Joy! Cake for me too please!!

OP posts:
DulcetMoans · 16/11/2013 10:09

You're going to need cake and bottomless tea/coffee nessa if its a day of DIY.

I had to organise DH SA in the end lentil. He wasn't resisting or anything but in his mind it could wait and he is rubbish at organising stuff anyway. I just phoned them, found the available dates and took it from there.

I'm going to try and get DH to buy sofas today. Its been over a year I have been trying, wanted one for last Christmas! I see a day of fighting ahead!

DulcetMoans · 16/11/2013 10:10

Sorry, didn't read far enough up. Cookie, what a shocker for you! Hope you get some answer soon and hopefully it was just a one of bad luck thing. The worrying never stops!

1974rach · 16/11/2013 10:33

you are all welcome to come and hide at my house if PIL are on the way. you can help sort out all the cliff Richard 78's we collected from BIL's house last night

Grin
thelentil · 16/11/2013 12:26

Oh my Nessa, I'd need more than cake to handle outlaw DIY efforts, I admire your patience

Dulcet, I think DP is the same, just doesn't see the urgency, I wish he wouldn't justify it by implying that I'm desperate and rushing, (it's been 10 days since he was given forms and a jar) I've bitten my tongue so often about the baby issue

Cookie, 2 weeks is a damn long time to wait, everything seems to take two weeks, it's forever!

cookielove · 16/11/2013 14:52

2 weeks if I am lucky, to be fair I thought it was going to be months so a couple weeks isn't bad!

Had a good distraction today we've found a flat we love, although it is on the upper end of our budget!

Urgh not Pil, the worse kind of visitors Grin

FurryScoob · 16/11/2013 15:02

cookie fingers crossed the 2 weeks go fast & it's good news at the end, buying a flats a good way to speed up time!

Were off to London tomorrow for 4 days of intensive christmas shopping and cocktail fueled shagfest but DP is too distracted by football on the telly to pack anything, bloody men!

DulcetMoans · 16/11/2013 16:09

Completely understand lentil. If it helps, probably took about 4 weeks for mine to make an appointment and then another 10 days from there. It was partly that he was really busy at work, I have to be fair to him, and he needed a day off to do it as drop offs were only 11-3pm. But I think he was party hoping for a BFP in that time to mean he wouldn't have to do it.

Good JSing plan there scoob! Hoped its well tied in the cycle too! Now just to avoid shopping arguments to ruin the mood, that would be my trouble anyway!

juniper81 · 16/11/2013 18:23

Really sorry about your news cookielove. Not sure if chasing them up will help but I know with my problems I had to do quite a lot of phoning around to get results etc. Don't be afraid to nag if that helps you. And how exciting about a new place. :)

Starting to get nervous about the job interview now. Mainly because I think they are going to test me on some equipment that I use a lot but they've probably got a very modern version and I'm using a very very old one at the moment. I'll just have to hope for brief instructions if that happens!

1974rach · 16/11/2013 18:52

juniper fingers crossed for you! when is your interview? I'm sure they'll give you some instructions won't they?

juniper81 · 16/11/2013 19:17

Thanks rach, it's Tuesday afternoon. I think they might expect me to know what to do but I won't be shy about asking.

Bit down today as a family member has posted some "people without kids don't know anything" comedy thing on FB. It is quite funny but I'm so fed up of people in my family talking to me like this! (don't think it was directed at me and I am fighting the urge to comment with "nice" under it). I don't think this is the month - had a BFN this morning - so although that simplifies it all job wise it is disappointing none the less. Even my DP is getting stressed and starting to talk about SA, adoption...SIGH. Bad day, will go eat some cheese and cheer the f* up!

1974rach · 16/11/2013 19:44

juniper I do understand I'm the only one of all my cousin's not to have a dc or be expecting a dc. It sometimes makes me feel like I'm not in the "gang" and as a consequence I feel left out.

Having said that there are days when something is said (particulary about children or having them) which hits a nerve and it's all I can do not to scream that it's not for want of trying Angry

Your time will come.

Now do I need to give you a friendly punch on the arm and a jaffa cake or will you be okay with wine? Grin

1974rach · 16/11/2013 19:45

Doh! juniper am sorry about bfn. big hugs. no punches xxxxx

Nessalina · 16/11/2013 23:45

Evening viroids! I survived the PIL invasion! Grin To be fair, they are fab, FIL put up two lots of blinds, a curtain rail, a mirror, and started to fix the kick boards in the kitchen, so I can't complain really! And they didn't mention the baby once which I really appreciated. Sympathy makes me a bit weepy sometimes!
Exciting to have a new flat on the horizon Cookie - renting or buying?
Jealous of trip to London Scoob been meaning to go for ages to see pals down there, just never seem to get the time! What are you up to?
Good lunch with the interview Juniper, hope they don't fox you with tricksy equipment Blush
I'm lucky so far that I'm not the 'odd one out' in my family, there's no babies yet, but my (younger) cousin is due her firstborn in December, so that's going to be tricky. My family all know what's gone on with us lately, so even my massively insensitive aunt should be able to avoid the 'when's it your turn then' jibes Confused
