Ladies, Fred title says it all; we are the ones who shag as much as our men can cope with in order to get upduffed without the stress of scientific whatnots!

Fred rules (copied from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others.

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit). Or PIATLH (Tea light holder) PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in!

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession.

Contraband = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

Hi viroids, I am so behind at work, so this will be a quick pop-in!

cookie I am so bummed to hear your latest. I do hope you get answers fast and that the problem is not insurmountable. Sometimes the worst case scenario is offered up too freely, like my "shadow" on my x-ray they had me convinced was a uterine defect in need of surgery. Hang in there Thanks

Welcome, MrsW! Happy anniversary, furry! Glad that you went for the interview, juniper .... are you going to take the gig if offered?

I officially got the green light from the doctor after weigh-in yesterday that I can move forward with an IVF cycle; injections start NEXT WEEK. Ahhhh!

cookielove · 19/11/2013 21:58

Hello all, I've been a bit awol last few days. Not pregnant it was dodgy tests, but its good cause the midwife says we shouldn't ttc until we get results from blood tests which they took on Monday and I have a whopper of a bruise. Other news we put in an offer for the lovely flat which got turned down (which we thought would happen) and we've just upped it by 5 grand Shock

minion your buying tooo details ???

red so exciting! So first you hace injections and then what?

Juniper you have 90 what?

1974 and Mrs are you both newbies? If yes hello :) if no please just ignore me Blush

nessa glad getting back to work was smoooooth for you!

fifi669 · 19/11/2013 22:18

Oh red what's the next step after injections?

DulcetMoans · 19/11/2013 22:39

Evening all! Been AWOL too but been reading. Work just getting in the way if fully participating!

Sounding exciting in here though with houses and jobs and whatnot.

Yay for injections red. Hopefully painless!

Shame you aren't sure about the job juniper. What will you do if you're offered?

DH SA came back normal today which is good. Looks like I'm the problem so now just awaiting referral and appointment at the clinic. More waiting!

Redshoes56 · 19/11/2013 22:43

I have to give myself daily injections for about two weeks, go for blood work and ultrasounds pretty much every other day during that time period to see how everything is progressing, and then show up for the egg retrieval around December 6 or 7. I hope they get a whole ton! Grin DH is totally freaking out how that we're actually doing this and the time is getting close. I need to slip a tranquilizer into his Brew, maybe.

Redshoes56 · 19/11/2013 22:43

how=now

juniper81 · 19/11/2013 23:01

Wow red that's fast and v glad all was ok at weigh-in.

I'm going to talk to some ex-colleagues and get their take on it all. I'm wavering between "what the hell, why not give something else a try" and worrying about leaving my cosy number where everyone loves me. I'm erring on the side of taking the difficult path just to see how that works out. It won't be boring after all.

I have approx 88 ov sticks not doing anything in a cupboard if anyone wants any number of them. They'll cost next to nothing to post and there's no point buying some if I can just get rid of them that way!

juniper81 · 19/11/2013 23:01

They won't even tell me til next week so have to try not to borrow trouble worrying about it for a "thanks but no thanks" next week.

1974rach · 20/11/2013 07:30

juniper thank you so much I'd love some. will pm you my address.

guess I'd better get used to poas!

cookie I am a newbie Grin thanks for the hello.

have a good day y'all

Minion · 20/11/2013 08:00

cookie sorry about the dodgy tests, I swear before they were ever invented pregnancy must have been less stressful, yes, you went into confinement for last month or so, but hey, a girl needs her sleep and alone time.
Yep, looks like we've found 'the one'. We both stepped in and it just felt like home. Which was weird because it isn't anything I thought I would buy.
I thought I'd get this big rambling thirties house but this is a little semi on a main road. But it just felt right. And when the vendor showed us the garden and the 'micro' orchard, well, I was bloody hooked. Went to have lunch round the corner at the pub and we both couldn't stop smiling so we just went for it. It was our last viewing of the day too, so that was a pleasant surprise.
The only thing is its not cheap.. It's in an expensive area so we are paying for location. Worth it tho, little village type place. Looks like it'll be soup for the rest of the year. But food is overrated anyhow...
Well, not cake. Definitely not cake...
Tell us about yours!
red Eeek, so soon. They really get the ball rolling where you are don't they?

Waggamamma · 20/11/2013 09:49

My boss just announced her pregnancy. I knew it. I can't cope with these bumps everywhere. Sad .

1974rach · 20/11/2013 10:34

wagga sending you a hug.

xxx

thelentil · 20/11/2013 11:31

Wagga, I'm sorry, that's rubbish, when I had mc, a good friend accidentally got pg with her fourth whilst waiting for snip, sigh, worse still are the ones who get of then say, oh the pill doesn't work for me, then have another, then pill starts working again, weird

ERTD today, two days early, what's that about? Is it a symptom of perimenopause? Was 4 days early last month and 4 days late month before. What's going on?! Doc shrugs this off as normal, bloody isn't!

Juniper thanks for tip off on the contraband, defo won't get those

QuarksInAPearTickle · 20/11/2013 11:37

Argh! Sorry its getting you down Wagga, its just so hard but I bloody sure we will all have our BFPs soon!

Minion the house sounds lovely!

Cookie hope its not long for you to get your results and how crap about dodgy tests, this whole thing sucks!

Hello to everyone else I have missed.

My AF did in fact turn up, Sad, was so convinced this month but oh well.......my next AF is due over Christmas so hopefully I wont be so obsessive as I will be too busy eating mince pies. Fingers crossed I can give DH the best present ever on Chirstmas morning! PMA all!

MrsW0931 · 20/11/2013 12:42

Looks like were all a little down in the dumps today on here so hugs all round i think!

I am too watching a few people at work - i cant decide who i think will announce it first although at this early stage i havent gone into the realms of feeling annoyed...yet. Im sure come feb/march next year if im still ttc i will have changed my views! ha.

Im curious to see what my 'cycle' length is going to be once this coil is out as i cant really remember ever not being on contraception (bar when i was pregnant) as i was on the pill before i had my coil. Be interesting to see

MrsW0931 · 20/11/2013 15:37

where is everybody? Sad

Waggamamma · 20/11/2013 15:59

I'm here on train home from work. left early as I'm feeling rather low, going home to have a good cry before I gwt ds from nursery, been holding it back all day. I'm not in a good place just now, everything is getting on top of me, how do I know if it's just grief or something I should be seeing doc about? I wouldn't even know what to say.Sad

juniper81 · 20/11/2013 17:46

Big hugs to all, esp wagga. I am feeling pretty low too but today must have been so hard, see how you feel the next couple of days. If you do into the Dr just say you feel sad all the time and see what they say. It's natural to struggle with all of the emotions at this time but you know if it's becoming unmanageable. Thanks

Not much to say here. Felt really fed up at work this morning and keen on the new job, but been out with colleagues for a venting session and love them all again. Confused, I am! Confused

1974rach · 20/11/2013 18:15

Here too. bit peed off too... have been shunted off to the naughty corner at work. everyone else having a jolly old time chatting and I'm plodding on doing all the bleeding work.

join me in a glass of wine ladies?

MrsW0931 · 20/11/2013 18:41

I really could do with a glass of wine but i have none in dammit.kids bathed and in bed watching dvds just chocolate milk and biccies to go then im a free woman for the night! Grin

thelentil · 20/11/2013 18:43

It does get better, just need to get through being ambushed by leaking eyes

Nyssalina · 20/11/2013 20:14

I'll join you in a wine!! WineWineWine
I've had a hell of a day, abc it sounds like I'm not the only one! My boss, who I love, has announced she's leaving, which I'm v.sad about, and everything else seemed to go wrong today, so ended up v.weepy this afternoon. Came home and cried all over DH, and when he asked what was wrong I couldn't really say! Just feeling all emotional Confused
In other news, the never ending ERTD that followed my TFMR (18 days and counting!) seemed to be tailing off, but was back again stronger today! Not sure now, especially with all the emotional outbursts, if this is actually a new ERTD!! No idea if it could happen that soon, any ideas?!

cookielove · 20/11/2013 21:52

My blood test bruise is on my profile!

Waggamamma · 20/11/2013 22:16

nyss sorry about your shitty day. if your first ertd came and you hadn't ovulated it could have been a false bleed to shed the womb lining followed by ovulation and your real period if that makes any sense? Hope it's all back to normal soon.Wine

juniper81 · 20/11/2013 23:21

Yowch cookie that's terrible! Was that off one go?! I hope you've had lots of soothing cake this evening. xx
