Ladies, Fred title says it all; we are the ones who shag as much as our men can cope with in order to get upduffed without the stress of scientific whatnots!

Fred rules (copied from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others.

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit). Or PIATLH (Tea light holder) PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in!

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession.

Contraband = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

Cake for all! I am treating myself to carbs tonight, a big dish of Pad Thai from our favorite takeout joint.

Wish me luck, ladies. I'll touch base once the anesthesia wears off! Thank you for being a great sounding board and support system xo

Thanks zing not to worry tho, I'm used to it now. I think if I ever saw that extra line appear it would confuse the hell out of me now.
red eeeekkk it's all happening. Good luck and when you're not in a zombie like state after the anasthetic come back and tell us all about your juicy follicles.

Re h.pylori. I've had it, it's characterised by acid reflux for me, it's something which already lives in stomachs but half the worlds population suffer with it some time or another. It an reoccur, just need proton inhibitors and antibiotics and it sorts itself out.
Afaik it cant be caught from someone, just if you predetermined to get it, you will.

lil1ady · 05/12/2013 10:06

hi everyone

good luck today red so exciting!

sorry she got u min it all seemed so positive this month.

juniper I'm with u on the stress. my job was causing me stress probably since we started TTC. I'm the kind of person who thrives on a little stress but it was ridiculous. glad to be out of there now and moving on with the future. hopefully a future that contains a bfp very soon!

how's everyone's house buying going? all moving forward nicely I hope?

I'm twotting now. not expecting anything this month despite DTD at all the right times as there has been so much stress going on over my job, but maybe a Christmas miracle could come my way!

happy Thursday everyone

Minion · 05/12/2013 10:14

We're just waiting for our buyers to find somewhere and sort their end out ow. Gawd knows how long that'll take tho! When we met the seller he was very nice and chatty but oh so laid back, that could be the kink in the chain I think.

cookielove · 05/12/2013 12:37

We are waiting for the seller to find somewhere to move, we hsvhave to be out by March so hopefully she'll find something soon.

No news from my end just waiting for my results :(

fifi669 · 05/12/2013 12:59

Fingers crossed for you red

juniper81 · 05/12/2013 15:03

Well, I haven't been shouted at yet. So that's good.

Best of luck red! xxx

Redshoes56 · 05/12/2013 16:35

Everything went smoothly. 5 eggs. I find out tomorrow how many fertilized. Think good thoughts. I keep repeating my mantra: quality not quantity. Will check in properly later!

CosyTeaBags · 05/12/2013 16:57

Red that is so exciting - FX for you, do keep us posted.

I'm in dire need of a good hard Hooya. I'm just obsessing about TTC this month. I don't even have any symptoms to symptom spot about.

I argued with DP when he was 'too tired' to DTD on the 'right day'. I told him that my AF was due on his birthday, and I'd hoped it would be a nice surprise BFP, but now that he was being awkward it would be all his fault if AF came manipulative crazy woman

I then developed what I thought was Ov pain right about CD14, but it has persisted as a dull stitch like pain in my abdomen for the last 5 days or so. I called my GP about it, because I'm waiting investigations for Endo and thought this might be a new symptom, and she made feel very small and told me she didn't know what I wanted her to do, but perhaps I should go and talk to her about my anxiety... I just wanted to know if the pain was normal Sad

Now I have no symptoms, no real reason to believe I might be BFP, but I'm probably not because we DTD on the wrong day because DP is a selfish arse and just need to snap the hell out of it.

CosyTeaBags · 05/12/2013 17:01

Argh and just realized I already posted my moan about the GPs upthread - thought it was on another thread...

Someone please tell me to get over myself...

cookielove · 05/12/2013 17:53

Its ok that you've double posted, no hooya for you!!

It will be ok!

Red yay 5 is great :)

juniper81 · 05/12/2013 19:33

Whoop for the 5 red, I am thinking very positive thoughts for lots of fertilization (sentences you never expected to type...!)

Have a gentle hooya cosy. The body is a mysterious thing, after all! I get all sorts of aches and pains throughout the month, try to ignore them and let it go, enjoy other things during the TWOT. But, it's not the wait of torture for nothing.

Symptoms I had while having h pylori were bloating, diarrhoea, constipation, pains like I had while I was pg with molar pregnancy (hence pelvic scan), severe pains at the bottom of my sternum (upper abdo scan for gallstones, all clear there), sharp excruciating pains on the right hand side of my body (thought I was having an ectopic), generally feeling like awful shit all the time and exhausted. It was not a great three months for me! Dr thought I had IBS for ages and the stool test was the last test before going for cameras down throat & up bum. Wish it had been the first!

I don't know what's going on with my body this cycle. Had EWCM straight after AF which seemed a bit early. Then it stopped, then it came back today. So I expect all the cape action will be for naught but we have actually enjoyed ourselves this time so that's something!

ThePollyAndTheIvy · 05/12/2013 21:56

Hi Viroids!

BroodyTroody just checking in to say hi, hope you're all staying positive! Missing this thread and our sudden lack of JSing!

Gonna try to catch up with some more of the Fred just to see what's been going down.

:)

1974rach · 06/12/2013 09:04

Greetings from Scotland! Project Up-Duff is well underway, OH is a happy wee soul and loving the jsing. I just want to be pg without the bloody wait.

I have no idea when AF is due. I am a bit confused by the post pill withdrawal bleed and I thought I'd spotted some ewcm but not sure. I think I will have to sit tight and play the waiting game.

happy Friday lovely ladies Grin

Redshoes56 · 06/12/2013 15:14

Happy Friday, all!

Got the call this morning ... 4 out of 5 fertilized! That is GREAT news, as far as I am concerned, and such a relief. I was worried about starting with a low number and having a bunch of duds, but my quality over quantity mantra worked! Now I have the long wait until Tuesday to find out if they've continued to grow and if there's a good candidate for a transfer on Wednesday (and hopefully something to freeze, if I can be greedy). How on earth will I keep myself occupied until then?

I feel totally fine today, minus very mild cramps, but nothing I even need to take an over-the-counter for. I was amazed at the precision with which they coordinated the appointments and retrievals yesterday. After DH and I arrived around 7, he was whisked off to do his part while I was given some more forms to sign and changed into my hospital gown and gear. Then he was brought back to me and we spoke with the nurse, the doctor, and the anesthesiologist, and then off I went. I remember lying in the procedure room looking at the ceiling, wondering when the drugs would kick in. I had a quick moment of panic (what if it doesn't take and I'm awake and in pain the whole time?). Then the ceiling started spinning and next thing I knew, I was waking up back in the recovery area. Apparently the first words out of my mouth were: "No, I am NOT thinking about work!" And then I asked for three margaritas. The anesthesiologist told me I need a vacation. That's pretty sad, but at least I do have some time off coming up over the holidays Xmas Grin

Shots may be over, but now I have to do a vaginal progesterone insert three times a day until further notice. Hooray! More things going up my hoohah. I miss the JSing part of getting pregnant!

CosyTeaBags · 06/12/2013 15:21

Oh Red what a lovely update! 4 out of 5 is great!!
