Ladies, Fred title says it all; we are the ones who shag as much as our men can cope with in order to get upduffed without the stress of scientific whatnots!

Fred rules (copied from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others.

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit). Or PIATLH (Tea light holder) PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in!

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession.

Contraband = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

Feeling nervous (for no real reason) so have booked myself in for an early scan Sunday.... The website looks very amateur but just hoping to see a healthy baby so I can relax. I'm 8 weeks today....

DPs little brother has just told us he's going to be a dad, due weeks apart from ours, I couldn't handle it if something went wrong and then we're faced with their baby! (Esp as he's 23 and been trying with his gf of 8 months.... Another story). I read so many tales of heartache on here I've got myself quite worked up!

thelentil · 28/11/2013 14:23

Fifi don't forget that it is mostly only the bad stuff gets written down, a lot more good stuff happens that doesn't appear here because it's normal! For every heartbreak story you see, there are a lot more success stories

fifi669 · 28/11/2013 19:08

Thanks lentil I want a nice success story for this thread to kick start a wave of BFPs!

1974rach · 28/11/2013 21:29

fifi am so excited for your scan Smile and hopefully you'll be able to shout your fab news from the roof tops soon.

Am feeling envious tonight. My sister has a grizzly baby who is very clingy and just wants to be with mummy and have a cuddle. My mum is looking after our toddler cousin tomorrow and is planning on making fairy cakes and doing colouring, glittering and sticking. I want my baby so I can do it all too!!Sad

No jsing tonight...OH on nights so will have to wait till Monday to get our capes on.

have a great evening hope we get some bfps soon.

EssiesInvisibleLlama · 29/11/2013 11:00

Hi viroids.

Sorry been MIA. Totally fell off the unicorn I'm afraid but hoping to get back in the saddle when this ERTD leaves. Have had 2 awful awful ERTDs with fever, headache, dizziness and terrible aching. I thought the first one was just a virus + AF, but then it just happened this week too the day before I came on and I spent 24 hours unable to eat or leave my bed. No idea what the hell is going on as never had problems like that before. Meant to be going back to Colp on 30th Dec for another look at my mangled cervix. Wondering if weird ERTD is because of that. Have told DH he needs to impregnate me pronto to avert the next ERTD which is conveniently due on 25th December when his entire clan will be staying. Went to GP for some help, she suggested I go back on the pill 'for now'. Not sure how I stayed calm! Feeling pretty fecked off about it all. No-one seems to really want to help me.

What have I missed here? Any BFPs? Really hope so.

Sorry for my misery.

Who's got their tree up? Is this weekend too early?!

Waggamamma · 29/11/2013 13:09

essie I've been having similiar to that too!! Since I mc in june thevday before af I just completely floored: nauseous, headaches, temp, intense pain in my belly etc. Severve pms symtoms!! AF really heavy too (tmi!).

Doc suspects endometriosis but won't refer me to gynea until next year.

Minion · 29/11/2013 14:26

Cripes girls, I really hope they find out what's wrong. That's utterly shit having to endure that awfulness month after month. ERTD is bad enough.
I'll be thinking of you both.

essie Im away in Mexico for a few nights so tree is going up next thurs or fri, I don't have much time in the uk before the big day so want to enjoy it but can't face the thought of putting up this week. We only live in a small one bedroomed apartment (sodding Baltic btw) so we'd run out of space.

Looks like this cold is going thankfully. Never really came out just went straight to my chest and made me feel wank for 5 days. Felt so sick and it only went when I ate so yesterday I was eating everything that moved.
Was hoping I was feeling sick because of you know what but husband told me someone he works with feels this way too, so unless he's upduffed too, it's probably just a bug.
Mores the pity eh!

Nips however are sore, they came on ay 5dpo as per previous months but it's usually just boobs not nips. It's the other way round this month..ouchy indeed. And my bad is still out, thought it was getting better, but no, it came back yesterday, think with the coughing.

I'll not mention the random cramping..no no no...
Get a grip minion!

thelentil · 29/11/2013 14:26

Rach, I went to a kids birthday party a couple of weeks ago, came away with nits, no idea which little angel I got them from. Feeling very slightly less broody after that discovery! As far as I'm concerned, they can keep their glittery fairy cakes if they can keep their parasites too

Yes, yes, I know, it's far less revolting when it's your own kid you've caught an infection or infestation from

1974rach · 29/11/2013 20:05

thanks lentil am feeling better today Smile

viroids may I just ask about pant snot please? Is it just because I've come off the pill that it's more noticeable? xx

lil1ady · 29/11/2013 22:51

not necessarily rach I've had loads every month for days and days since coming off pill sept 12. I see it as a good thing because its easier to judge when I'll be icing...although I have to take it with a pinch of salt as I get it from moment AF leaves right up until a day or two after icing. someone else may have a different experience to share tho.

hi Essie and whoever else it was with rubbish afs and rubbish doctors, I recommend the following line"_I'm sorry but that's really not good enough, what are you going to do about it?" its fair but fair and says "I'm not taking any shit" Grin works for me a lot

I'm putting tree up next weekend I think which is early for me but as I am now jobless (Sad ) why the hell not! Grin

Redshoes56 · 30/11/2013 00:36

essie - Tree is definitely going up this weekend! Feeling festive here now that Thanksgiving is over and done with. We hosted my in-laws, so four people, but I made enough food for at least a dozen: 18-pound turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, butternut squash soup, homemade cranberry sauce, homemade gravy, and three pies! Still full. Too full to haul the decorations up from the basement, but will do that tomorrow.

DH and got our capes on today for the first time in awhile, just due to stress and being tired. It is nice to have some of the pressure off since I'm medically rigged right now NOT to ovulate, and also have something else in there besides an ultrasound wand Grin. My second scan went well yesterday; two of the follicles on my right ovary have already grown nice and big. I go again tomorrow morning.

And I agree with lil - sometimes you have to be a bit aggressive (but fair and polite) to get somewhere! I feel bad for everyone suffering with nasty ERTDs. I have a girlfriend who ends up with so much pain she almost passes out at work, yet the docs can't figure out what's wrong. Crazy.

cookielove · 30/11/2013 09:47

:)

Minion · 30/11/2013 18:12

Girls who have been pg before. Can I ask a question?
How did your boobs feel?
We all know I go though this every month without fail so in keeping with tradition I'll carry on.
So this month I don't have the shooting throbbing pains in the sides like I normally do. This month its all about the nipples. Sooo sore even rubbing them with materials from clothes is sore sore sore. They also feel bruised and heavy and dare I say it, fuller.
And they are getting sorer by the day.
I don't now what to think. On one hand (the bigger hand) I am pretty sure I am not upduffed as every month it always goes like this, but there is a small wee tiny inkling of a different feeling...
So... Ladies? Help.

DoesZingBumpLookBigInThis · 30/11/2013 18:16

minion

sore to even touch? hate bras?
congrats might be in order....Smile

lil1ady · 30/11/2013 18:39

ooh min fx! when is AF due? Go POAS sista!

cookielove · 30/11/2013 18:45

Mine were super sore although never changed in size.

Time to POAS :)

Minion · 30/11/2013 19:33

On girls,I can't bring myself to do it before ERTD is even late. Too many crushing dissapoinments. Plus I'm on my own in a hotel down south, husband at his parents for the weekend, tomorrow I fly to the Caribbean till weds. And weds is the day she is due.
Yep, now too sore to sleep on front and that's my go to sleep pose! When I took my Bra off early... Christ almighty

cookielove · 30/11/2013 19:55

Minion - I have small boobs and I am able to wear vest with inbuilt bras with a t shirt on top. When I was pregnant my bra was rubbing so much I thought I would try wearing the vest instead, big mistake! Not only was the pain immense the vest offered me absolutely no protection against the babies (work in a nursery) when they grabbed at me :( good luck! when will you test?

Minion · 30/11/2013 20:06

I'm only 10dpo I think so unless something has gone amiss I shouldn't be feeling this way so soon... Look at me, talking like I am already
Ha!

cookielove · 30/11/2013 21:10

Oooh you have good will power. I tested on they day af was due and was not expecting a +. Had no inclination at that point that I was, although thinking back later I had been really emotional abput something that I am usually level headed over. Will you test at 12 dpo?

cookielove · 30/11/2013 21:14

Forgot to ask, the midwife who is in charge of our case is out of office till Jan. We should get the results soon as it was 2 weeks ago we had blood tests, am I right in assuming another midwife will contact us?

Nyssalina · 30/11/2013 22:44

Ooh, lots of messages, hey everyone! Smile
Cookie, you should, but I wouldn't count on it, I'd be calling them as soon as its two weeks and one day if you haven't heard anything before that!
Minion that's pretty exciting... When I was pregnant the only thing that hurt more than having a bra on was taking it off! Grin And yes, it was all about the nipples as well as a bit of side boob issue. Weirdly, when I was preggers it felt like my boobs were getting bigger but now I'm not I haven't noticed them actually getting any smaller, so not sure if they've permanently increased in size or whether or not it was just an optical illusion that they got bigger in the first place!! If I were you minion there is no way I could resist the urge to P all over anything that moved, but I guess for the sake of sanity you should probably wait a couple of days Wink
I have good news! My period started today Grin I know the ERTD rolling in isn't usually cause for celebration, but being as it's four weeks today since the procedure, it's bang on schedule for it to arrive, so it's pretty good to know my system is getting back to normal quickly. It means me and DH can get our capes on in earnest as soon as she buggers off again! Grin

DoesZingBumpLookBigInThis · 01/12/2013 00:19

Nyssa

that's good news for sure - a fesh start Thanks

minion

buy a few tests and take them with you.
You have to test on Thursday morning. (don't care what you want, I'm bossing you around! Grin )

so exciting!
I had really painful boobs with DS1, same as cookie said, taking bra off and no support was agony.
