Ladies, Fred title says it all; we are the ones who shag as much as our men can cope with in order to get upduffed without the stress of scientific whatnots!

Fred rules (copied from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others.

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit). Or PIATLH (Tea light holder) PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in!

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession.

Contraband = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture!

Nyssalina · 23/11/2013 14:17

Hello and welcome all! Smile
Poor Rach - there's nothing worse than a trip to the parents house to put the damper on JSing!! Trip to Scotland sounds promising though - just the two of you? Wink

juniper81 · 23/11/2013 15:21

Hi all, welcome new people. Rach thought of you last night. Out on the vimto and got a bit emotional telling a friend about everything and she gave me a friendly punch on the arm! Fair brought me out of it Wink

Thinking about taking a break this month, it's getting me down a bit, but will chat with DH, he's a lot keener than me atm. Have lovely weekends x

cookielove · 23/11/2013 16:44

Kittyrose1 · 23/11/2013 19:45

Hello! Kitty here, ttc#1 had a shitty ttc cycle 1 last month due to lady problems so I'm counting Next cycle (AF currently here) as #1 instead!

1974rach · 24/11/2013 09:09

Morning viroidsGrin

Dtd at my parents houseShock I blame the wine.... feel like a teenager and feel like I'm going to get in trouble.

OH made me laugh at a key moment, he said "Are you ready? We're gonna make a baby" still making me chuckle this morning.

juniper never under estimate the power of a friendly punch on the arm. Hugs are likely to make you cry and therefore wreck your mascara, but a punch might just make you smile and they act as a hooya!

have a good day y'all xx

.....hmmm wonder if I'm upduffed ha ha ........

Nyssalina · 24/11/2013 09:32

Hehe, you never know rach Grin !
Glad to hear the insides are coordinating again cookie! How long has that taken? I've just finished the post TFMR AF (thank god!) so I'm waiting for the first 'real' AF to be allowed to properly DTD. Ideally I want it to not turn up til after Wednesday... I may have been obsessing about dates slightly (a hooya may be in order!) but basically, so long as next period starts on or after November 27th 2013, we're ok to try that cycle, as the baby would be due 3rd Sept 2014. So long as they're not early, they'd be five on 3rd Sept 2019, and not have to go to school for 2nd Sept 2019 term!
Aka no unprotected sex before 11th Dec!
Bit OTT?! Blush
Welcome kittyrose! Smile

cookielove · 24/11/2013 09:43

nyss it really hasn't been too long to get my periods back to normal, found out on the 24th of sept that the baby had died, Erpc was 6 days later, 11 days after that I had a one day period, 17 days after that I had my real period, 27 days after that I had my next. Usually have a 28 day cycle lasting 3-4 days :)

Now we are waiting for the results of the blood test to see if we can start ttc again. Fx every one that we aren't carriers.

Why do you not wa
Hello kitty :)

cookielove · 24/11/2013 09:44

Whoops, why do you not want your child to be the oldest in its class?

cookielove · 24/11/2013 09:45

Or is that youngest? hang on I'm confused!

DulcetMoans · 24/11/2013 11:33

So longest ERTD I've ever had seems to be over. 7 days, WTF is that about?! There's a chance my new job could send me to US next July so debating how pregnant I can be to get on a plane. If a baby was due Sept, could I get on plane in July?

Hope you get the results soon cookie, did they give an indication of when?

Good curry minion? I had one yesterday, feel fat now!

Hi newbies! Get shagging!

DoesZingBumpLookBigInThis · 24/11/2013 13:34

cookie

FX from all of us in Zingland and that is a lot of fingers!Wink

Dulcet -

that depends on dates and when you are flying back.
last time I flew I was 32 - 33 weeks pg (March 2010) the rules were:

  • if over 32 weeks pg you need a letter from GP that is no more than 3 days old on the day of travelling
the letter should state that you'd been checked, no problems or expected complications and you're fit to fly
  • if you are over 36 weeks you need the same letter, but it must be written the day before your flight.

best if it covers that you should be also safe on your journey home!

and of course the whole thing depends on dates (if we assume you and baby are healthy), because if you are due 28th Sept and need to fly 2nd July you'd be about 28 weeks + so absolutely no problem

if you are due on 3rd Sept but have to fly on 30th July you'd be about 35 weeks pg (say 36 weeks flying back) - that's too close for comfort, but not impossible.
although for a first time mum the GP can refuse to give you permission and you will not be able to board with that letter!

(best to check current rules with the airline you will travel with)

hth

Redshoes56 · 24/11/2013 18:15

Fingers crossed, cookie....

Redshoes56 · 24/11/2013 18:16

And hello to all the newbies!

Nyssalina · 24/11/2013 18:53

Cookie - DH doesn't want the virtual child to be the youngest in class. I'm not fussed, I know lots of well adjusted August babies, however because he's a school teacher he has seen some of the younger ones in his class struggle sometimes so he just doesn't want to take that chance. Mind you if we do get lucky month one and the baby's early he'll just have to put up with it! Grin

FlipFlippingFlippers · 24/11/2013 19:12

Evening all!

Me and dh dtd last night after 2 weeks of nothing! 2 weeks no shagging is just not normal for us and even more strange now that we're ttc I'd got a bit worried tbh but we ended up getting amorous after giggling about baby names. We ended up in hysterics after imagining calling a baby Barry (no offence to any baby Barry's out there) and I think it broke the ice a little.

Without realising it we've both been tense and I reckon it's put us off dtd. I think last years mc is on our minds especially after me recently missing af 2 cycles for no apparent reason. How do you all stay relaxed?

thelentil · 24/11/2013 21:28

Ness, I started out being interested in whether I could influence gender through diet, or when it would start school, or if it's birthday would be close to anyone else's, even if my Mum would be in the country near the theoretical due date, now I don't care, just want a live one!

Blood test was on Friday, SA tomorrow, results in about 2 weeks, then we get to see if we can be referred to baby doc. Was someone saying it takes about 6 weeks for a referral?

Nyssalina · 24/11/2013 21:39

Tell me about it lentil!! Confused
Flipper it can get a bit weird when ttc, I started to feel like DH somehow less keen whenever it was my fertile time, but I think it was just because I was coming across a bit TOO keen it put him off a bit if you see what I mean! You have to stealth seduce them! Wink

DulcetMoans · 24/11/2013 21:50

Our referral will be 6-8 weeks lentil. That's after the tests anyway. Might differ by health authority - perhaps yours will be quicker!!

Thanks Zing, that's really really helpful! I'm not very well travelled so just wasn't sure how it would work. If I (magically) got pregnant this month it would be four weeks before due date so probably a bit close. Anything after that will probably be fine I think. Will leave it to fate! Or sods law, depending on how it goes!

FlipFlippingFlippers · 25/11/2013 00:13

Oooooh stealth seduction sounds good. Like a ninja costume with inbuilt peephole bra? Grin
