Here we go again.....

The smallprint –
Berries have a strict entrance criteria (TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 6+months, NO instadiffers, must have a special pot) and def no mention of baby dust or baby dancing UGH !!! Ooooh aren’t we strict!

Bunnygirlie · 17/11/2013 18:40

Evening! Sorry been quiet, had a busy busy weekend.

merk your positivity is good, we need it round these parts!

Ooh birdy it's ICSI for us too!

Pip thanks for the reassurance ref ivf, I am very nervous! And that little girls comment was so cute! Yay to cycle two, keeping everything crossed!

Not much happening here, hubby has to go back to main FC this week for another freeze and my drugs arrive Thursday, probably won't get to use them till Jan or Feb!

Pipbin · 17/11/2013 19:03

Bunny any IVF questions, no matter how daft they seem, I'll help if I can.

The comment from the little girl would be even cuter if you could see her. As a colleague put it 'you could eat her without the need for butter or jam'.

Quite heavy spotting here, more that normal for this point in my cycle. It's enough to leave a mark in my pants which is rare.

RevoltingPeasant · 17/11/2013 21:37

Spotting :(

This also always happens before AF though only the day before, so I think I am out for this month. I did know that. But bugger.

CatsCantFlyFast · 17/11/2013 21:44

Bugger for both of you Hmm

RevoltingPeasant · 17/11/2013 21:57

Thanks Merk - you are the Berries' rock! How are you anyhow? Our exchanges are always very mememe!!

CatsCantFlyFast · 17/11/2013 22:10

I'm fine, busy getting excited about Xmas. Nobody manages as many mememe posts as I do so I wouldn't worry!

Bunnygirlie · 17/11/2013 22:28

Thanks pip you are a star! When do you start cycle 2 then?

Sorry to hear about AFs Sad

Pipbin · 17/11/2013 23:17

Cycle two starts on day one of my next cycle Bunny. Which should be next weekend. I've got a clinic appointment on Tuesday and so I need to call them when AF starts and they'll send out all the drugs.

Bunnygirlie · 18/11/2013 08:24

Are you on short or long protocol? Did the injections freak you out to start with? Shock

SidneyBristow · 18/11/2013 10:28

Sorry AF has gotten you too, RP. Even when you know she's coming, the disappointment when it finally does happen is crushing.

Pip, really glad for you that your second turn at IVF is right around the corner Thanks

Does anyone know if a hysteroscopy / polypectomy can/will be done if AF hasn't quite left the building? My appt is tomorrow afternoon & it can't be rescheduled as surgeon is off for 2 weeks starting Weds. I really want to get it over with but not sure if I should contact his secretary for guidance just yet? Confused

Pipbin - 38 - TTC since April 2011 - about to start second IVF cycle - AF due 23rd Nov

Sidney - 38 - TTC since July 2012, unexplained, private FC appt Dec with a view to starting IVF in Jan.

Gillster · 18/11/2013 15:33

Sid - if AF is pretty light then it may be OK, would be worth checking though. It will be even more annoying if you were told tomorrow that they couldn't do it.

Pipbin · 18/11/2013 17:37

Bunny no idea if I was long or short protocol. It took about 6 weeks from starting injections to egg transfer.
Yes the injections did freak me out a bit, but once I'd done one it was fine. They really aren't painful at all.

mrswalker13 · 18/11/2013 17:58

Boo to spotting RP

Yay to all the moves toward IVF / ICSI - the start of 2014 will be overrun with berry BFPs!

I'm in for day 21 bloods on Friday - to confirm PCOS - though bit confused as day 21 is for folk with 'normal' cycles which I don't have which is why they think PCOS...

Equally if I was on a 28-dayer I'd be in 2ww territory. Maybe I'll start symptom spotting to distract me from wait for PCOS confirmation Smile

Bunnygirlie · 18/11/2013 18:41

Evening all, good Monday?

I felt so sick this morning, a little stressed about work which makes my IBS flare up. Spoke to my manager though so getting some help now, just wanna get up to date as my colleague who I work with is having an op and 3/4 weeks off in jan feb time and I am stressed as it will probably clash with my ivf stress!!! (Only my big boss knows, not my manager or anybody at work)

sid I had my lap/hyst on CD3 so AF hadn't quite left the building and it was fine, guess it depends on surgeon though

Pip mine is short protocol, jabs start day 2, they start scanning from day 9, eggs usually ready around day 14 apparently and then it all happens Shock

Pipbin · 18/11/2013 19:07

Wow that is short Bunny.
Not wanting to scare you but I found egg collection took it out of me. Be sure to book the following day off at least.

Bunnygirlie · 18/11/2013 19:31

Pip Yep I think short is 4ish weeks with the long one 6ish, because of my PCO they recommend short because they don't wanna overstim everything. Thanks for advice, will def take a day or two off.

It's all very odd thinking about all this when I probably won't be able to start till Jan grrrrrrr

RevoltingPeasant · 18/11/2013 21:00

Hmmm, so AF isn't actually here yet. I'm sure it will be tomorrow, but.... tmi warning for anyone not interested in my knicker contents

I popped a mooncup in last night when I first noticed a tiny it of spotting. I forgot about it and wore it all night and all day Blush and tonight there was just a very small amount of oldish brown blood in it but no proper AF.

So I am guessing that doesn't count as AF? So I am actually on 15dpo or 17dpo if you believe FF.

Fairly sure it will arrive in force overnight but this has never happened before afaicr.

barkingtreefrog · 18/11/2013 21:07

That's interesting rp Hmm
I await further developments Wink .

BlueBirdy · 18/11/2013 21:10

Oooh, sorry RP but the suspense is killing me! Must be excruciating for you, trying to not get your hopes up! FX!!!

Yay for all the IVF/ICSI ladies! FX for 2014 IVF babies and ICSI pixies!

Hope you do get answers MrsW, their logic confuses me too!

And hope you get your appt Sid!

Bunnygirlie · 18/11/2013 21:26

I love the phrase ICSI pixie!!!

RevoltingPeasant · 18/11/2013 21:45

The thing is I think it is too late to be implantation and probs also too much stuff, but normally with me it's like a bit of blood and then bam, AF is properly here.

Anywhoooo fairly sure I'm just having a weird cycle.

Good luck to all the ivf people! It is such a big thing but I'm glad stuff is moving for you all. Waiting is the worst!

barkingtreefrog · 18/11/2013 22:16

Much needed rant alert

Well I just dtd for the first time in our second Clomid cycle. Dtd for ttc sucks. Had a very stressful day at work, even more than usual, didn't go for a run then felt like I should have done, wanted chocolate brownies and red wine and we didn't have enough eggs for brownies or any red wine. Called the bank who keep not making payments to my mortgage and went round in ever useless circles. It gets bounced back into my account, which is incredibly annoying as the bank blames the mortgage company and the mortgage company blames the bank. Which would be predictable, but they're both the same bloody company!!! Just different departments blaming each other while I pay an hour of my time and phone bill to get precisely nowhere!!! Angry Angry
So yes, not particularly in the mood for dtd and too early to be any use if I don't ov until cd19-22 sometime as usual, but must try and cover all bases!
Now humphed off to sleep in the spare room as he's hogged the ipad again and I'm too stressed to spend the night being kept awake by him watching tv on the ipad in bed next to me (he uses headphones but the flickering light of the screen doesn't help me get to sleep).

I would say tomorrow has to be a better day but it's pupil progress meetings all morning so I'm going to spend the morning being quizzed about why x hasn't made 4 sub levels progress in a year and why I can't get y to a 2b even though he's having lots of interventions. I'm really not loving teaching right now. Angry

Right, with that rant off my chest I might actually be able to sleep!! night night berries! Smile

Foodylicious · 18/11/2013 22:23

Oh barking what a shitty day Sad
Only thing i can recommend is stopping at a shop on the way home tomorrow to buy chocolate brownies or similar and red wine.

Hope your meetings go ok,(((hugs)))
