Part 2 this way!

We had 6 BFPs in just over a month on the first thread, so here's hoping the luck continues.

I hope it's nothing, Donna.

Bleeding is common in pregnancy, so I'm sure it's nothing. Keep us updated. xx

Hi Donna -I am really sorry you've had some bleeding as I know you'll be stressed and worried. Like Hungry says, try not to worry. I had a bad bleed at about 24 weeks with my DS and panicked like mad and went straight to the hospital but it turned out to be unexplainable. Everything was fine and that was a bit more than slight bleeding. I have been given the number of the early pregnancy until too for any bleeding or problems before 12 weeks and then a number for after 12 weeks. It isn't half scary and worrying this pregnancy milarky ! Also Donna I'm rhesus negative so I have to have an anti D injection for any bleeding I have. Let us know later how you are doing xxx

lucyjojo · 19/11/2013 16:07

Hi everyone,
Mrs glad you're scan went well, how lovely and exciting for you. not long to go now until second trimester!
Donna hope you and baby are ok - let us know how you are getting on.
Kt hope you are feeling better now? I also have a ridiculous fear of being sick, no idea where it came from, its just got worse and worse over the years, and I too was most worried about being sick in labour than anything else as I really do just hate it. I wasn't sick in labour or in pg luckily, but had constant nausea for about 16 weeks.
Toothpaste huge congrats to your sister! That is so exciting. Its your parents I feel sorry for having all these babies arriving at once!!
Welcome along Swede, I too am very impatient, but trying to just let what will be be this month. How old are you if you are happy to disclose such information? Grin
Hungry, still just baffled for you. I don't even know what to say anymore so Wine and Cake instead!
Well I'm a few days into the 2ww, glad I got my positive ovulation last week, and we've done it twice since then, but I'm not so sure this will be our month either...trying my very hardest not to think about it, I don't feel stressed so much about this month, so hopefully just 'thinking' about it can't hurt!!

donnas1984 · 19/11/2013 16:11

no more bleeding and they didn't think there was any cause for concern so they don't want be to go in. I'm still quite anxious but trying to relax. just hope a week in Monday comes round quickly xx

HungryHorace · 19/11/2013 16:46

I had an ectropian on my cervix which caused bleeding at 20 and 24 weeks with DD. Scary, but ultimately nothing to worry about.

Not long til your scan. I'm sure everything is just fine.

Keeping my fingers crossed for you Lucy.

Kt, did the GP say what's wrong with your DS? I saw you were taking him on Facebook. Sorry he's not well still.

Mrs, how did your manager take it?

OP posts:
donnas1984 · 19/11/2013 17:04

afew years ago I has cervical erosion after coming off my contraception which i had to get cauterised on numerous occasions and they reckon this bleeding is the same thing. thanks for your messages xx

lelly78 · 19/11/2013 18:58

Fx Donna, hope it is nothing, it is such a scary time Shock

Thanks for the nice comments ladies, you and me in the 2ww Lucy, anyone else to join us? No definite idea when af is due as my cycles are still screwed with bfeeding but if nothing by a week sat I will test....

Congrats Mrsm on a successful scan, I am a teacher but think an office job in a school would be great for me rather than the stress of teaching!
I will try not to disappear again...

lelly78 · 19/11/2013 18:59

And hope it is the best ov ever hungry and that was what your body was gearing up for!

lelly78 · 19/11/2013 19:00

Last thing! Welcome swede and super exciting news toothpaste Grin

Windywinston · 19/11/2013 19:06

Hi all, sorry I'm struggling to catch up with everything, but welcome newbies and congratulations on a good scan Mrs.

Ruth, congratulations on your BFP, hopefully this means we've turned a corner back to BFPs and no more weird AFs!

Toothpaste, that's awesome news for your sister, it's the perfect outcome for someone who has clearly had a difficult journey through TTC, just wonderful news.

Donna I'm sorry you've had a bleed, but wanted to offer some support as another person who had a bleed in my last pregnancy. I was around the same stage as you are now, light bleeding and no pain and all turned out to be ok. I also previously had cervical erosion which required caurterising and my bleed was also put down to that, so I hope that gives you some reassurance.

When it happened to me my midwife reassured me that there are a thousand reasons why a pregnancy bleed happens and the vast majority are no cause for concern whatsoever, but I know how worrying it can be nevertheless. I hope you're not stressing too much xxxxx

mrsm22 · 19/11/2013 19:30

Hi ladies, how is everyone? I've had a lovely day with my DS but back to work tomorrow sadly. Hope I'm not too tired. I rang my manager this afternoon to tell her that I'm 10 weeks pregnant and that I was telling her in confidence. She congratulated me and was really nice about it and told me to take off any medical appointments etc. so I won't be telling anyone else until after the 12 week scan, assuming everything is still hopefully ok (god I'm such a worrier , been for a scan and still feel like I need or want another each week)!
Hi Lucy - you sound like me! I've had a fear of being sick for years. In fact all through my labour I was more terrified about being sick than anything else. I felt very sick at the end but fortunately wasn't. I don't know why or where this huge fear has come from but as I'm getting older it gets worse. If I saw someone being sick it would panic me and ruin my day. I'm not good with it in any shape or form. If my DS is ever sick, that is different or my cats but I can't handle anyone else. I think it is a common phobia.
Lucy - when is the second trimester ? I was ten weeks exactly yesterday so 10 plus one today.
Donna - so glad you've not had anymore bleeding. I must admit I've been worried about you today and hoping that everything is ok. So glad it is and your scan will be perfect. Only two weeks to go! One thing we all have in common is impatience in our gang. I'm terrible at waiting for things.
Can I ask, what is an ectropian and also a cervical erosion?

lucyjojo · 19/11/2013 19:44

Phew glad it's not just me with a weird phobia!! It makes me so paranoid about food prep, especially raw meat and seafood, I am forever cleaning up after DH when he makes dinner. It's even got to the point where I actually won't prep raw chicken as I'm just so scared I'm spreading germs everywhere that will make me sick! So silly, my DH mocks me all the time for cleaning chopping boards and knives etc about 4 times! I'm also really worried when I hear other people have been sick incase I'm going to catch it! Same as you though Mrs, I'm ok when DD is sick.
The second trimester starts at 12 weeks I think. Then the 3rd trimester starts at 24 weeks. Then I think you are considered full term from about 36/37 weeks. Please correct me if I'm wrong anyone!

Donna I am sure everything will be just fine, at least you have an idea of what it could be rather than a big one off? Hopefully that provides some reassurance!
Hi again Windy, hope everything is going well for you.
Another teacher Lelly! We've got quite a few on here (not me though, although I would potentially like to be one day) I'm not too sure when to expect AF either, as I was a day early last month, so not sure how many days to count in my cycle this time. I will also know for sure a week on sat!! Maybe another POAS party on the horizon????

HungryHorace · 19/11/2013 19:47

Windy, how are you now? I hope you're all better.

Lelly, I hope so too. Both ovaries are aching and so is my lower back. I feel a bit periody too. I just want this wtf cycle to be done with now!

Mrs, an ectropian is just a sore patch which can bleed. Nothing serious. Just scares you shitless when you bleed because of it in pregnancy!

OP posts:
mrsm22 · 19/11/2013 20:10

So sorry I forgot to ask Windy, how are you now?
Lucy - Gosh we are similar, I am really picky about where I'll eat and what I'll eat in case it's anything that could make me poorly. I over cook everything just to be sure and am always washing my hands. If anyone at work has a sickness bug, I won't go near them and I panic that I might catch something. It's a fear/ phobia I wish I didn't have.
Hungry - thanks for explaining. Sex can also cause bleeding in pregnancy.

lelly78 · 19/11/2013 21:16

Hi windy, and yep Lucy hoping to attend a poas party next weekend!

HungryHorace · 19/11/2013 22:02

Ha ha ha ha, mrs...sex in pregnancy?!?! DH wishes! :-)

OP posts:
HungryHorace · 20/11/2013 09:31

Ooh, smiley OPK today.

We're vaguely following SMEP this cycle and were doing it EOD. Now we do it 3 days in a row. Shame EOD was last night, but there you go!

OP posts:
Kt1991 · 20/11/2013 10:53

Ahh lots to catch up on so sorry if I forget anyone! Im feeling much better thanks everyone. DS looks better today thankfully too. Hungry He had conjunctivitis ear infection and just typical viral infection, but he has this really horrible cough, like a barking cough? Which has been making him wake up sounding like he’s choking, so I was concerned still so took him back to the Dr’s, as nurse said it was best to come back in, but they’ve just said to keep giving him calpol and hot baths! So I looked like a paranoid mum and worried for nothing it seems :. Sorry to hear you had a slight bleed donna hope everything is all ok now, I had some bleeding at 28 weeks, which they couldn’t say why either. Can’t remember if I posted after your scan mrs? But if not glad it went all well and you got to see your bubba! Not long till you can see him/her again Smile Can’t believe your 10 weeks already!
Lelly I’m in the 2 ww too Smile we’ve DTD so far a lot more than any other month so i’m really hoping its helped! How do you manage to DTD every 3 days hungry?! Sorry for TMI but I don’t know if it’s just me but I always feel quite uncomfortable if it’s only been a few days or less. I get a lot of pressure, feels very much like it did when I was quite far in pregnancy with DS! Maybe it’s just from having a baby everything feels different after.
Hi again windy how’s things with you? Toothpaste thats really nice that you and your sister are literally due a few days apart! & so lovely that everything going well.

HungryHorace · 20/11/2013 11:00

Kt, it feels different for me too and I didn't even have a vaginal birth! I know what you mean about pressure. Odd.

I just go along with it. Needs must and all that jazz. And DH loves it!

I'm glad you had your DS looked at. Always best, so don't feel like you shouldn't have.

I'll be joining you in 2WW soon. Arrrgghhh.

Fx for us all. :-)

Toothpastekissesno2 · 20/11/2013 16:00

Donna how are u? Sure it's nothing thoughi know anxious making.
Hungry woop for the smiley face. Atleast u know where u are!!

HungryHorace · 20/11/2013 17:02

I know, Toothpaste! Finally I've got a clue what's going on. :-)

And DH gets to DTD for the next 3 days, so he's happy too!

How are you feeling today?

OP posts:
lucyjojo · 20/11/2013 18:53

Glad your DS is ok Kt, and isn't it funny how you think it's the worst thing in the world that your DC has, and the drs and nurses are soo relaxed about it. I remember when my DD was about 3 months old, there was some blood in her poo-ey nappy and I totally thought there was something awfully wrong with her, rushed her down to the drs, and he just shrugged it off, put it down to piles!! She was fine afterwards and has been ever since!
Hungry good luck with the SMEP plan, I thought about ding that this month, but it's not very easy to DTD with DH over the weekend as he's away such long hours, so will have to wait for it to fall mid week! Good luck though and I hope it works for you. I have been using preseed this month, so we are both trying something new - surely it has to happen for one of us!!
Kt I agree with you, it feels uncomfortable doing it so often for me Blush. It just sort of irritates and I feel a bit sore and delicate the next day or so, I definately couldn't do it everyday. EOD is even pushing it a bit!! DH and I were laughing so much last night at our necessity sex!!
Mrs its is rubbish but glad you are the same as me with your phobia!!! I don't feel quite so ridiculous about it now.
Donna hope everything is ok??

lelly78 · 20/11/2013 19:20

Every day Shock... Even dh is sick of it already!

HungryHorace · 20/11/2013 19:43

Last cycle was 8 days out of 10. That was hard work, especially as DH was working nights.

Thankfully he's not this month so he won't struggle with energy so much!

It will be 5 days out of 6 though, the way it's fallen. I'm knackered already.

It's good to use OPKs in your situation the Lucy. Targeted DTD. :-)

Windywinston · 20/11/2013 23:26

Yay to the smiley opk hungry!

I'm feeling rough. My mumps symptoms have all gone (blood tests were inconclusive), but my morning sickness has got loads worse. I thought I was doing much better this pregnancy as I was sick every single day of my last pregnancy. Sadly, it looks like as I enter my second trimester my morning/all day sickness is ramping up. I hate it so much! Also I've got mega heartburn already. Again this happened in my last pregnancy and DD was born with loads of hair so maybe there's something to the old wives' tale!

Sorry, I'm such a moaner! I know I'm very lucky and if this is what I have to experience in order to grow babies then so be it. I just get a bit fed up with feeling ill when I work full time.

Oh AND my frigging company has changed its maternity policy so I can't carry holiday over to the next year, so I have to take all my 2014 holiday entitlement before May! With DD I carried all my holiday over to the next year and used it to take a day off every week for 8 months when i came back from mat leave and it really eased my return to work. I guess that's made my decision to go back part time after this one! It's really pissed me off though.

Gosh I'm such a moaner today! Sorry xx
