Hi All,

Anyone else around for the Dec bus yet? I think AF has managed to kick me off Nov already as she has arrived a few days early, and my cycle will probably mean she is next due at the beginning of Dec rather than Nov.

So does anyone else want to climb on board and help me hang tinsel and drink mulled wine to while away the time until that bfp in Dec?

Howly, yes huge congrats, sorry, got carried away with the Christmas decs earlier!!!

Lucy, seriously?! A whole tub? Good girl Grin

Sara, don't worry just yet, may well still be, unfortunately it'll be a waiting game to see. We're good at that here though so pass the fudge & please have one of my festive mini yule logs, we can all stuff our faces whilst we wait!

Joins in the fa la la la Laing with mama, eeeee I love chrimbo so much! I'm yet to see the John Lewis ad yet and my fav of all....the coca Cola lorry....holidays are coming...holidays are coming....I like to think of our BFP bus looking all lit up like the coke one Grin

SaraRB123 · 17/11/2013 20:32

Thanks onelife, only time will tell so here I am handing out the tray of toffee with a mini hammer and a lovely box of fudge. Tuck in everyone.

I'm also bringing selection boxes -
Bfp box has of course a bfp, a larger cupped bra for those growing bad boys, a megaphone to shout your news from the snow laden rooftops when it's time, and a teeny tiny photo frame for that first beautiful scan picture.

Af box contains chocolate, mulled wine, cake, warm blanket, hot water bottle for AF cramps.

I'm hoping we won't need the AF selection boxes though, who's up for a bfp one??

ImaginaryHat · 17/11/2013 20:35

Lucy you're directly responsible for the 6 scones baking in my oven now, and I dont even have any cream I just really wanted scones after you mentioned them!

I will bring the leftovers later!

lucyfluff · 17/11/2013 20:39

ooooo yum.....my job here is done Wink enjoy Grin

Count me in for December bus! #1

DorotheaHomeAlone · 17/11/2013 22:21

Hey all, I have a question. I've been fretting a bit about how to cover our TTC over the festive season. Like a few of you I'm partial to a mulled wine or two and know this is going to be tricky to cover around Christmas. I love my friends and will def be sharing any pregnancy news earlier than we weeks but not sure I want to clue them in this early. Just think it'll make the whole process drag worse if they're asking me about it all the time. Now they've invited me to a Turkish baths trip next week and I'm stumped about that too. Are those OK for women TTC? Argh. I'm rubbish at lying and sure they'll guess.

Polkadot1 · 17/11/2013 22:35

Dorothea Turkish baths are fine when ttc- it's in the first trimester to avoid in case they are too hot/ infection risk- plus just go with the flow with a few festive drinks in moderation I'd say.
Hi to those just joined from the Nov bus- Mama big hug and baileys for you- I read what happened - here's a massive "cheers" for a productive bus for BFPs. I'm just at smiley flashing face - so the "sex plan" (thanks mama for the phrase!) is on daily dtd. Then will do back to alternate days once past smiley faces until AF or BFP. DH thinks it's quite funny but is (luckily!) up for my plan! Fingers crossed!!!!!

ThingsThatGoHumpInTheNight · 17/11/2013 22:40

Hi Everyone! I think I am the right place....I am in day two of my first proper period in 12 years Grin hoping they stay regular (came off the pill a month ago). We were planning to start TTC originally in March, then the New Year, but following some sad news for friends of our re fertility DH suddenly announced he has no idea why we are waiting and we should start straight away-he doesn't need to ask me twice! What's the craic here? Would I be a December bus rider?

SaraRB123 · 17/11/2013 22:46

Welcome things, yes, welcome to December bus!!! I'm guessing you'd be due AF or bfp in middle of December time depending on how long your cycle is Grin grab a seat, a mince pie, a hot chocolate and sit tight x

ThingsThatGoHumpInTheNight · 17/11/2013 22:55

Thanks Sara, I am just so excited to start, but trying to contain it and be calm as I know it is not always easy! If AF decides to stay regular from now, will be due mid December -ideal timing for going to stay with in laws for three days, who all know I enjoy a sherry or two Wink...may have to develop some kind of infection requiring antibiotics if it happens. Is everyone no alcohol whilst TTC? There are so many things I'm sure I have no clue about, good to have some strangers to talk to, otherwise I think I might explode

SaraRB123 · 17/11/2013 23:18

Everything in moderation is what I've learned is the key so if you want a drink, have one or two. Act normally is some of the best advice I've been given. However, if normal for you is to sink vodka shots haha, maybe hold back a little Wink. I'm very new to this myself, this is only cycle 1 for me, but I've been lurking for a few weeks and have picked up so much from the ladies on here. If you ever have a question, trust me this is a no holds barred area so just ask away, one of the fabulous ladies on here will usually have the answer Grin

ThingsThatGoHumpInTheNight · 17/11/2013 23:24

That's great to know Grin

I suppose I should add my stats: ThingsThatGoHumpInTheNight, Cycle #1 TTC #1, BFP due 18th Dec(ish)

Good luck everyone

DorotheaHomeAlone · 17/11/2013 23:27

Thanks for the info on the baths, polkadot.

Things, I'm still drinking while TTC but just a bit less especially during the 2ww. As you can see from my question, I'm pretty sure my friends will notice that I'm not quite partying like usual. I don't mind them speculating once I actually am pregnant but I think it'll add pressure if they're all wiggling their eyebrows at me while I try to resist testing!

ThingsThatGoHumpInTheNight · 17/11/2013 23:36

I know exactly what you mean Dorothea, I'm not an animal but I am very social ifykwim, and everyone has been nagging us about DC since we married 2 years ago, so it will be noted and commented on that I'm not having my usual few with the same frequency Wink

Littlebear88 · 18/11/2013 07:06

Littlebear88 ttc#1 1 cycle AF due 1 December

PunkyPod · 18/11/2013 07:56

Welcome to all the new passengers. I hope we all have an exciting ride!

OPKs still showing negative over the weekend. I've got one in the office with me so will descreetly pop off to pee on it later this morning.

DD has been really ill with a horrid virus, now she's just left with a nasty cough. Poor thing is finding sleep tricky coz she's coughing her guts up. I've been awake since 4:30am and am sat at my desk at work hardly able to see straight! My fiance and i are having a date night next weekend and DD is staying with my parents. I can honestly say i am looking forward to a mega sleep soooooooo much :D

Yes, i believe the mantra is 'everything in moderation' when ttc. Baths, saunas etc are fine but just dont go for the extreme version. A drop of drink every now and then is fine, just not too much. And keep all the inbetween times really healthy. Plenty of fruit, green veg, water... :)

mama31 · 18/11/2013 08:07

Lucy! That's a funny story! I reckon I'd be up to that challenge!! Love clotted cream also :)

Onelife I couldn't possibly miss out on the festive fun on this bus! Had it been any other month I would not have joined so quickly....but like you I absolutely love Christmas and couldn't wait to jump on here for some festive fun!!! Fa la la la la la la la la!!!!!

Polkadot, glad to see you have inherited my "sex plan" since I don't have one yet this cycle! Af only started properly last night so I will work on ideas for my new Sex plan over the next few days.....pretty sure we've tried everything though so not sure how I'm going to proceed but will maybe dtd less this time....always think we may have overdone it.....start out with smep then it gets thrown out the window and we just go for it.....so maybe force myself to stick to smep!

Well off to get ready for work now. Mondays never get easy do they :/

mama31 · 18/11/2013 08:08

(hugs polkadot and drinks Baileys) thanks so much polka! Yummy! :)

SoMuchFruit · 18/11/2013 08:37

Oooh, a Festive Bus..

heaves bag full of Stollen and vats of Mulled wine onto bus

Been away. Back now, sorry to see some familiar faces on this bus (not in a 'I hate you' way! In an 'I'm sorry you aren't upduffed' way!)

Haven't really got a sex plan bar do it a lot. I am convinced I ov later than all the apps and planners say so need to make more of an effort around day 20-25 I think. This is no scientific though... It's a guess. Cervix position is a big give away I think and now I know a month's cycle of it I might have better luck using that and EWCM as a guide.

Still taking the Folic & B vits but this month am also taking daily Veno's cough medicine to improve my EWCM. It really (unintentionally) worked last month.

PunkyPod · 18/11/2013 08:49

Ooohh Onelife. This bus is TOTALLY the coca-cola lorry!
