Hi All,

Anyone else around for the Dec bus yet? I think AF has managed to kick me off Nov already as she has arrived a few days early, and my cycle will probably mean she is next due at the beginning of Dec rather than Nov.

So does anyone else want to climb on board and help me hang tinsel and drink mulled wine to while away the time until that bfp in Dec?

Sorry catface, I have just reread your post and realised you said it was an extra long cycle, meaning they are not normally that long Smile. Fingers crossed this is your cycle !

Is it just a me so far on this thread that is on the 24th cycle

I have lost a stone, hope to lose one more on top, get a healthier bmi for fertility.
Going to start up the whole ovulation testing lots again this month.
Search for this preseed

Needs to get well and truly pregnant before the new year, as that would be depressing!

Minnieheehee · 03/11/2013 22:41

Barmybunting I'm TTC #2
m33r not personal at all (if we're here I'm guessing we are open to questions!) no private. We wouldn't qualify as we have ds1. Good luck :)

PunkyPod · 04/11/2013 08:03

I used preeseed with DD1 hyland and got her first cycle so i hope it works for you. 24 cycles is such a long time, you defo need your BFP on this bus. I really hope it happens.

Just waiting for AF to turn up, should be any day now and then it's all systems go. Although i am going on my hen do this weekend :) So excited!

Knottyknitter · 04/11/2013 12:01

Is there space for another one on this bus?

So new we've not actually started ttc yet, but on last pack of Yasmin due w/d bleed 25/11 and then all systems go!

Pre-pill I was regular 29 day cycle right from starting, so hoping for a lovely Christmas present this year, but who knows what 3 years of plastic hormones will have done.

SIL is about 4 months in with her second, so at least there's an excuse not to get drunk over New Years with them (only polite, but you boys go on!)

Ellisisland · 04/11/2013 13:38

Got room for one more? AF due any day now and then trying from then. Bought ovulation sticks this morning as they worked for is last time. I have a little boy who is almost two and planning on another one to arrive as soon as possible! Not worried about an end of August/ youngest in year birthday as my birthday is 29th August and it didn't make any difference to me in any way Grin
Fingers crossed for everybody

Hyland · 04/11/2013 14:45

Noticed a few of you have concerns about having an August baby. Then a few have said how they weren't personally effected.

What I would say is that an August baby means that every year when you try and plan birthday parties, you get a lot of replies 'sorry can't make it, as we're away on holiday' or if you don't plan way ahead you realise you don't have the other children's names and addresses to send the invites, or you don't have the telephone numbers to remind parents a few weeks into the school holidays.

This is always heartbreaking for my daughter and whilst I try and be more organised these days it doesn't stop families going on holiday or seeing family and not being around!

m33r · 04/11/2013 17:31

My birthday is also 29yh August. I did really well in school and have never been offended around birthday time! DH however has a December birthday - I think that must be hard! Anyway. Point is August babies are great! :-) :-)

m33r · 04/11/2013 17:33

Oh and thanks minnie. FX for you!

jessieagain · 04/11/2013 18:53

jessieagain · 04/11/2013 20:21

Thanks barmy

I'm looking forward to getting back into ttc. I'm guessing my mc will be over and done with by the end of nov so we will get straight back into it then :)

Hope to use the next couple of weeks to get a bit healthier and lose a bit of weight.

Minnieheehee · 04/11/2013 20:28

Thx Barmy. The way it's working is that we actually have a fertile period next week so there's a slim chance we might get a 'natural' conception before I start getting shot up with hormones etc.
Jessie, big hugs and here's hoping for you x

Ellisisland · 04/11/2013 20:47

Big hugs Jessie and fingers crossed for everyone

I'm ttc #2 and would be due a BFP on Christmas Day !

Chumbies2001 · 04/11/2013 22:02

Hi just checked my app and dates can you change my bfp to the 20th of dec please? I feel like I'm wishing the weeks away until Christmas now!

akachan · 04/11/2013 22:24

Well I've just ordered some ovulation sticks! Is that really crazy for cycle 1? I'm just so excited. Hope this bus is lucky for lots of us.

Knottyknitter · 04/11/2013 22:38

ooh right, details! sorry barmy

ttc #1. cycle 1 should start 24/11. so bfp due Christmas day if pill hasn't made ovaries misbehave!

Minnieheehee · 05/11/2013 04:59

Ellisisland- glad to know I'm not the only one likely to be wielding a turkey Baster and a preg test on Christmas morning!

Anyone else doing IVF or IUI on this thread? Or who've done it before?

Ellisisland · 05/11/2013 09:16

Minnieheehee - just don't mix those two up! Your turkey might not taste so good Wink

BeigeBuffet · 05/11/2013 11:27

Is anyone else already feeling the fear? So many women on here have talked about their difficulties and I'm scared because there's not many ways of knowing before you begin if you'll be one of the lucky ones or not. I'm almost terrified to begin trying because that leaves us open to potential disappointment. Am I alone in feeling that? X

Ellisisland · 05/11/2013 11:45

Hi Beige I know what you mean. I sometimes feel I have too much information about conception and that freaks me out. I have a son who is 20 months and when we were trying for him it didn't happen the first month and I totally freaked out. It was only when a friend of mine gave me a verbal kick up the arse and told to get a grip that I relaxed and 2 months later I was pregnant.
Having said that I am still nervous about ttc #2! That's what this board is for though, so you can get all your worries and crazy out here to be normal in your day to day life! Or is that just me?!

Chumbies2001 · 05/11/2013 12:50

Beige I feel exactly the same, I kind of wish that I just left myself to try for a couple of months before I started getting serious with opk and tracking fertility but I'm a planner and it's in my nature to research and organise things to death! But I'm petrified of it not working out and I'm not even trying until next month Shock

Hyland · 05/11/2013 12:52

Jessie wow that must be horrible, thinking of you and hope u get a pleasant Christmas surprise x

Minnieheehee · 05/11/2013 14:29

I think the worries are natural. Starting with the opks or cbfl is a good idea. Me and DH were trying for a year, then we got the monitor. Turns out I ovulate around day 17, not 12 on a 28 day cycle... I think you're better knowing tbh! The other thing I'd say is get things checked out sooner rather than later if things aren't happening. I'm 42 and am kicking myself for not getting checked after trying 6 months - tubes are partially blocked, prob cos of a post c sec infection. I'm now feeling up against the clock because of my age! I think being part of groups like this helps
You keep perspective as you can talk to people going thru the same stuff. I find it a lot easier to be philosophical here than I do when I'm 'in my head' so to spk!
