Planning ahead for Christmas! December bus starting far too early...

Hi All,

Anyone else around for the Dec bus yet? I think AF has managed to kick me off Nov already as she has arrived a few days early, and my cycle will probably mean she is next due at the beginning of Dec rather than Nov.

So does anyone else want to climb on board and help me hang tinsel and drink mulled wine to while away the time until that bfp in Dec?

Can I just say a big thank you to all the ladies who are answering my silly questions, I've learnt so much from you all since I bought my ticket for this bus and I'm so very grateful so thank you xx

It's so weird for me, as of course I want a baby, I'm desperate for a bfp, but mentally for the last 10 years I have actively avoiding pregnancy like the plague, and now that we have made that decision, I have lost the control that I had before of taking the pill religiously etc, and have been left with none, which is why I feel I need to do lots if research and ask lots of questions, because it kind of makes me feel like I'm back in control? Did anybody else feel like this at the start of their ttc journey?!!!

BexBoo12 I think you just described how everyone on here has felt! Believe me you are not alone, the lack of control is what drives us all here to learn from each other. And everyone is wonderfully supportive, like you i've learnt so much!! I have also have a stack of TTC books by the bedside! Doing lots of research and things like taking supplements, charting my temp and eating the right things make me feel more in control.

Though I did find myself standing in Sainsburys this lunch break, looking at pineapple thinking "well OK, you're allergic to it but it might help with implantation..." so possibly not that in control [Big grin]

Oh god AF is till not here. Do I dare hope I've done it this month? I haven't really had any symptoms. I thought I felt nauseous today before lunch but I'm not sure if it was my mind playing tricks on me. I'm pretty regular 28/29 cycle and this month should be 29 days which was yesterday. I've been as late as 32 days before but that was 8 cycles ago. I've been really calm and I'm now going quietly nuts!!!!

Random question but when temping, how long do u leave the thermometer in your mouth? The instructions say your temp is given after the 4beeps but will continue for 1min after. I've been takin it out after the beeps until today.
I seem to have very variable results, with no clear pattern.... Haven't done a whole cycle yet. Help appreciated xx

Hi laravh I always take it out after the beeps - some mornings it seems to take ages to beep! my temps are up and down throughout the month, how variable have your temps been?

At the start of my cycle mine vary between 36.3 and 36.5 with rarely the same temp two days in a row but then there is a clear shift upwards to 36.7 after ov. After ov it tends to move between 36.7 and 36.9.

I try to stick the same time every morning, (6:50 just after the alarm) but sometimes I find myself temping at 5 am if I'm awake or up to use the loo. I'm sure this is why my temps move around.

Do you know if it makes a difference waiting until after the beeps?

Will my wee be strong enough to test later or should I wait til tomorrow morning to pee? Oh god I don't know what to do?! I was calm but now I'm so terrified I'm just going to be a few days late and feel like a right fool!!

I would do one now then another tomorrow but I'm insane so don't take my advice.

Ha! Akachan that is hilarious! You're insanity might just be what I need though.... How long do I need to build up pee for?

I think it's about 3-4 hours and don't drink anything so its more concentrated.
If I were you, I'd hang on till the morning. It could make all the difference to the result.
Or you can do what I've done on occasion. Piss on the damn thing at like 2am. We all have good intentions when we're dishing out advice, but its so hard in RL! :)

I was going to write exactly that in my last post sazzle, but thought it may have been a bit insensitive. It's shit because when you buy the bloody test, you are already on the road of hope and when that witch turns up the world comes crashing down….

Hi, Cycle 15 TTC #1 BFP due any day! Not sure if that makes me November / December bus!!

AF due in the next day but no signs it's on its way! Eeeek!

Got BFP today! 3 weeks +! No idea when I'm due but over the moon!
