Planning ahead for Christmas! December bus starting far too early...

Hi All,

Anyone else around for the Dec bus yet? I think AF has managed to kick me off Nov already as she has arrived a few days early, and my cycle will probably mean she is next due at the beginning of Dec rather than Nov.

So does anyone else want to climb on board and help me hang tinsel and drink mulled wine to while away the time until that bfp in Dec?

Well I have sent him to bed with Vicks, night nurse and lemsip! Hopefully if he sleeps all afternoon by the time DS is in bed tonight he will be well enough for me to attempt to seduce him!

The pain today is low right hand side, feels like I pains, painful when I sit down like I'm squashing something, but I have this back ache. I may well be the cb side effects but never experienced it before when coming off other bc. X

Girls I'm hoping this is not a tmi question, but here goes, dtd last night, I usually find I have left over cum that comes out, the following morning, today is the start of ovulation for me. So how can I tell apart cum and cm?? I think mine is ewcm, but unsure whether it's still a mixture of the two?? Thanks in advance x x

Missv - as far as I know, ewcm will stretch between your fingers whereas cum won't.

I've saved the cb digi for Monday, didn't want to risk it giving me a bfn!

So, mama, details. Well, this is cycle 2 for our 1st. Last month we dtd 4 nights in a row but poor DH got a bit worn out and looking back I realise we were probably just a bit early. I came off the pill in feb despite knowing we wouldn't start trying until last month and have charted ever since. I've been quite lucky in that my cycles settled down pretty quickly, around 31 days long. I o'd on day 18 this month and we dtd on days 13, 15 and the early hours of day18 after I got back from a night out

It was my birthday on day 21 and we flew to Rome. I'd been out over the weekend celebrating and figured it wouldn't do any harm so shared some with DH a few nights. Dpo4 my temperature was nearly 105, which freaked me out as I felt fine, just very hot. My face puffed up a bit too. Same again on dpo5 except my temp went back to normal again. My nipples started feeling a teeny bit tender followed by my boobs too. Dpo 12 and 13 I had heartburn for possibly the first time ever. Apart from not having any spotting, I don't actually feel any different!

I know this is different for everyone, but it's worth asking in my head anyway!

When does ewcm normally disappear? If it's disappeared, does it mean you have ovulated?

I've had ewcm for the last 5 days or so, highs appeared on cbfm three days ago, I have had highs since. No ewcm today though. 2nd cycle of using cbfm, only had 2 highs last month and otherwise lows so I'm not sure if it will pick up peaks for me. It will not be used again if this isn't the month, had enough of the thing!

But I can't work out if I'm in the 2ww yet or not! I'm not temping.

Barmy I'm using amazon opks but my ewcm appeared the day before my clear positive opk and was still there (although less) the day after the positive opk. I tested again today and I'd say it was still positive although less strong than yesterday. I reckon ewcm will have pretty much gone tomorrow.

I never seem to get any visible EWCM, get lots of watery cm that FF says is fertile. Not sure if that's true or not?
DH away tonight so had the telly and sofa to myself and a few glasses of rosé after a nice long walk along the beach.

Munday I read somewhere else that watery cm is fertile too, so hopefully it is. I think it's different for everyone.

Cd26 and I've just had another high from the cbfm. Punky, I found opks never seemed to work for me. Are they pretty reliable for you?

Missv I would make another GP apt just to check your tummy pains, even if they cant feel anything they may suggest other tests. Just for peace of mind really. Maybe your bloating is related to ov? bodies are wierd during the month!!!

Barmy yes they were reliable with DD1 as I used them straight after a MC and that's when we conceived her. I used them last cycle (we weren't TTC) just to see if they were finding the peak and it came around cd17 with EWCM. Done the same this cycle although I think it was a couple of days later. Since DD1 I've found my cycles have varied between 27-34 days in length. They used to be 28 like clockwork. So it's taken a bit of getting used to.
Anyhow, we've DTD a lot this week and I'm now in the 2ww.

How is everyone ? Having a nice relaxing weekend here, OH was away playing Rugger yesterday and I had DS so swanned out to potter about with a BFF and the horses this afternoon while DS & DH watch IRE vs NZ (we were robbed!) . Back in now to a glass of vino, the fire and book. Happy days.

Been really enthusiastic about DTD - have a high enough drive but been very keen this time for some reason. Have DTD every 36hrs or so (AM-PM-AM-PM sort of pattern) - maybe it's the lack of sex plan that has made us so keen ? Who knows!

Another day and another question though.. EWCM. How long do you have it for ? When does it start and when does it go ?

Just also wanted to say it's the first month I've not been symptom spotting so try really hard to switch your mind off from it and I'm sure there'll be lots of dec bfps!

I had never paid attention to it before, just started this cycle and I am surprised it has come so early.

Hey everyone, just popping my head in to say hi to you all and to say that today I've had a weird wave of dread that I'm not going to be a lucky first cycle bfp type of gal, just a weird feeling that I seem to have developed this weekend. I'm now 6dpo which is still very very early but I just figured that when it happens, I would just know, you know? Feel it somehow? I'm not having a very easy time at work at the moment, and my sister in law is making life very difficult, so on a bit of a downer...so I'm hoping that's the reason for my lack of optimism!! Buck me up ladies, tell me I'm being stupid and that it's far too early for me to be being silly that it hasn't happened because for crikeys sake it may well have done but it's TOO EARLY!! Feeling very emotional today...sorry, rant over xx
