Hi All,

Anyone else around for the Dec bus yet? I think AF has managed to kick me off Nov already as she has arrived a few days early, and my cycle will probably mean she is next due at the beginning of Dec rather than Nov.

So does anyone else want to climb on board and help me hang tinsel and drink mulled wine to while away the time until that bfp in Dec?

Smf, listening to some of the girls in here I do t think you truly no unless you temp. From what I've heard, I'm using the clearblue opk's with the flashing smiles and solid smile and I know when I'm about to by going by those, but this months a funny one, I've had 5 flashing smiles in a row now. Just waiting for that solid!!

Rubyshoe · 21/11/2013 08:56

Morning all! SMF completely agree with Mama, with our angel I had 28-29 day cycles so 'should' have O'd at day 14/15 but got very clear positive oPK at day 10 so go figure! Clearly DD changed things though cos currently O on day 14/15 I think, so yeah I'd going tonight if I were you! Hollyben and anyone else who fancies it.... Winter Pimms 500mls Pimms, 500mls brandy, 1.5 litres apple juice, 2 cinnamon sticks, warm the lot then add chopped apple and orange..... And a straw!

SoMuchFruit · 21/11/2013 08:57

I am holding off on using OPK's just yet.. If nothing by Jan I thought I'd get a bit more scientific. Just a bit of snakeoil and a lot of shagging for now!

I haven't temp'd before, not sure how that would work with DS who sometimes wakes us at 5am - I would forget to do temp before getting up to see to DS!

Mama.. on it! Wink

SoMuchFruit · 21/11/2013 08:58

Ruby that winter Pimms sounds DELISH! .. Have all other Ingredients, just need to buy another bottle of Pimms - just dregs left over from summer.

SaraRB123 · 21/11/2013 09:08

Morning everyone...I actually forgot to add the detail that most people are interested in- not my boring relationship stuff!! If I'm honest, I don't really have an idea of how many children I would like, I'd just be happy to get upduffed first!! Then we will see. I'm in line for twins so the decision might be out of my hands!!! Haha. And I honestly don't mind a pink or blue flavour bfp, just a bfp would be super lol. Grin

crashbandicoot · 21/11/2013 09:44

can i join the bus please?

ttc #1 cycle 5-7 (more recently using smep). this month (nov) had loads of symptoms from dpo (nausea, cramps, dizziness, metallic taste) - thought "this is it!" then af has started (although different from usual) argh!

i am well and truly strapped onto the ttc rollercoaster... and trying to find coping strategies. hopefully this will help Smile

i am 33 dh is 52. been together for 10 years.

hoping for 1 dc (just one!) don't want to be greedy! Grin

bfp due dec 19th

mama31 · 21/11/2013 09:55

Welcome crash! And good luck to you! The December coping strategy is to enjoy the festive month without overthinking ttc and focusing on all of the fun things Christmas brings and obviously getting cosy with our men to keep warm ;)

Ruby that winter pimms sounds immense....ill be having some of that! :)

crashbandicoot · 21/11/2013 10:11

thanks mama i usually LOVE xmas so will really try and focus on having a damn lovely time...!

(as a coping strategy) i'm also just trying to think about some funny things about this whole ttc thing.. first is trying to get dh to dtd... i basically tell him (dramatically) the planets have aligned when the time is right...!! he is unusual cos he likes to know when he has to perform...

what does everyone else do if u don't mind sharing...??

oh i also wear a red slip instead of tartan pjs! sorry if that's tmi Grin

mama31 · 21/11/2013 10:25

Crash!!!! Hahaha!!!! So funny! Yes my DH likes to know as well....we do dtd quite often once af clears off but he likes to know exactly when I'm ovulating so he can step up his game.....which he loves to do!!! it's me who ends up exhausted and ready for a break....he could keep going and going....wish I'd the energy! lol and yes the fluffy pj's do take a break over ovulation ;)

Karmalaa · 21/11/2013 11:00

Hello, sorry I'm a bit late to this conversation!!

I'm just turned 31, OH is 40. Been together 5 years, no kiddies for either of us so TTC#1 which is terribly exciting!! Not sure how many we would like, OH is from a huge family and I love kids so I'd have as many as I could pop out! But realisitcally, I'd like at least 2, don't mind which flavour they are so long as they are healthy and bouncing!

I love hearing about everyone else!

PunkyPod · 21/11/2013 13:32

I think the big O is happening. DP and I are both working from home today. An afternoon bonk wouldn't be too naughty would it Wink

lucyfluff · 21/11/2013 13:39

I would love an afternoon bonk !!!! Wish my DH worked fron home!!! I like to tell him when we need to dtd during the day so usually send some txts while hes at work telling him my plans for naughty time lol....this is after getting little man to sleep in his cot so we get peace and quiet!

I think DH has realised eod is the way to go trying properly, which is good having a days rest in between!! Im so tired some nights tho Im literally dribbling on the sofa!!!!

Im so cold today...been at soft play this morning and my feet are like ice Sad

PunkyPod · 21/11/2013 14:18

It's freezing isn't it! Hope you warm up quickly.

We've dtd 3 nights in a row now and I have to say I'm pretty knackered! And having to do it so quietly coz I'm paranoid about waking dd is a bit frustrating. Haha, anyway, that's probably enough details about our bonking!

Better get back to work...Wink

lucyfluff · 21/11/2013 14:30

Good work punky!! Wink I know what you mean about being quiet...a little person waking is a deffo passion killer lol

Im under a blanket now watching mickey mouse!!!!

mama31 · 21/11/2013 16:42

Lucy I hope you are watching mickey mouse with your kids??? Lol

lucyfluff · 21/11/2013 17:46

Ha!! Ossie is obssessed with Mickey Wink

Is it snowing where you live mama?! I just saw a lady on facebook say it was in Ireland!!

mama31 · 21/11/2013 17:49

No Lucy just very cold, was snowing a little on Tuesday though! I bet the snows on its way to me then!

lucyfluff · 21/11/2013 17:56

Awwww wrap up warm Grin love a walk in the snow!!!!

MundayCakes85 · 21/11/2013 18:26

Evening ladies, you've all been chatty whilst I was away. Would love a winter Pimms, will settle for a fruity cider Smile
DH isn't really up to it at the moment, cd7 so going to prise him away from PS3 soon coz it's been ages!
Saw the doctor on Tues, she said they wouldn't start to worry/ do tests until 18 month ttc. However I work in a lab so might persuade a friend to take my blood for me to test, sneaky I know!
Right off to catch up on all the festiveness on here

barmybunting · 21/11/2013 18:27

A question for those of you have children already... How do you manage to dtd with kids around? DH & I find it hard enough already to 'fit it in' (that sounds awful, no pun intended) during the week around work etc, so I can't imagine trying to manage it with kids about. It's obviously possible given the number of multi child households but how! I admire you...

It's snowing here, we have had snow since Tuesday morning. Hopefully not too much more as some of the higher roads are a bit dodgy.

I finally got a high on my cbfm today (cd23) and in the spirit of the Christmas bfps, we have the mulled wine out Smile.

Imaginaryhat I didn't mind the travelling and time apart for the first ten years or so, this year we have both found it pretty hard - possibly as we decided we wanted to start ttc in Jan but couldn't as DH was deployed for 5 months, and away a lot. We are both looking forward to next year. Is it definitely pre AF signs you have, not OV?

OP posts:
mama31 · 21/11/2013 18:42

I know Lucy I won't be out of the house, under the weather today so it's pj's, blankets and hot toddy's all round!

Barmy, ds is 12 so has no interest in hanging out with us much now :( so we do get time to dtd when he's with his friends which is quite often then he goes to bed at 9.30 every night so manage then too. Or I sneak home on my lunch hour if DH is off shift for a sneaky dtd around ovulation! Haha!

lucyfluff · 21/11/2013 18:52

Feel better soon mama Smile

We only dtd once bedtime is complete lol...this can take a while but normally by 8.30 we have the evening to ourselves and bedroom doors are shut with monitor on!!! Really miss morning sex.....Sad and afternoon sex....and spontaneous sex....maybe I should book a weekend away! Grin

DorotheaHomeAlone · 21/11/2013 19:08

Hi all,

I'm starting to wonder whether I'm on the right bus. I think I ov'd last month on the 4/5 Nov and was expecting AF on Tuesday but no show. I hoped on this bus last weekend because I'd had no symptoms at all and free done on Thursday came back negative a cheaply on Monday was the same but no AF still today and i'm normally a clockwork regular type. Should I test again? Still no symptoms for pg or AF.I just don't feel pg can' explain why but am starting to feel a bit hopeful despite myself.

My stats are TTC first. I'm 31 and dh is 32. Married 2 years together 9. Would love 3 or 4 kids but dh is nervier than me so we'll see how it goes.

mama31 · 21/11/2013 19:17

Dorothea how have you not tested every single day?!!!!! Of course you should test! Do it!!!!! Good luck! :)

Lucyfluff.....sounds like you so need a wkend away! January is great for deals on wkend breaks as prices are low after Christmas.....or tell DH for Your pressie you would like a wkend away!!!
