Planning ahead for Christmas! December bus starting far too early...

Hi All,

Anyone else around for the Dec bus yet? I think AF has managed to kick me off Nov already as she has arrived a few days early, and my cycle will probably mean she is next due at the beginning of Dec rather than Nov.

So does anyone else want to climb on board and help me hang tinsel and drink mulled wine to while away the time until that bfp in Dec?

Aaargh! Trying to type in the wind and on a horse!

Mama - you need to get the Expectorant Veno's if you want to try it - I don't think the other ones have the right ingredients.

onelifeonechance · 20/11/2013 14:47

Somuchfruit!!! I love the image I have of you right now Grin

SoMuchFruit · 20/11/2013 14:55

LOL. Am cooling off my sweaty horse and am bored so posting on here. It's blowing a gale, horse is dancing around and my phone is stupid so it's amazing I am managing to type anything at all. Go me!

mama31 · 20/11/2013 15:17

SMF!!! Hahaha!!!! Yes that vision is one to cheer me up! :)

I will give the venos a miss...I am not doing anything other than standard vitamins and dtd this cycle! It's a carefree approach.....apparently!

mama31 · 20/11/2013 15:42

Ok ladies just a little question or for us to get to know one another a bit better....

Only answer if you like to or any parts you like to....

How old are you & DH/DP? Do you have any children? What age are they?? And/or how many children would you like in total?? (boys? Girls?) I know I've asked some of this before but we have lots of new people and it's nice to get to know everyone! :)

So I'm 31, DH is 33, DS is 12yrs old (from a previous relationship) and I would love just one more child, would be happy with a boy or girl but as I have a boy then I'd be lying if I said a girl wouldn't be my preference if I could pick (but would be ecstatic with either girl or boy)

Anyone else?????

lucyfluff · 20/11/2013 16:10

lol somuch...you are crazy typing while sat on your horse!!!!

Awww mama...I love knowing peoples stats!! good post!!!

Mine are: Im 31, DH 32....3 boys, 2 from previous relationship age 8 and 11. DH has very much taken my older two on after a pretty nasty split and no contact with their real dad....anyhow thats another story!!!! Would LOVE another little pickle to add to our family. DH is desperate for a girl but I wouldnt mind....another boy would mean not having to share my perfume or makeup Wink

crazylady2013 · 20/11/2013 16:16

Right here goes...I'm 35 and DH is 30 Wink . Have no children so either a boy or a girl would be great. But I would be lying if I didn't say I would like a girl a little more though I really have some good boys names I wouldn't mind using (crazy I know to have thought of names aleady).

onelifeonechance · 20/11/2013 16:20

Ooooo yeay this is fun!!!

I'm 32, dh is 34, no kiddies yet (not for want of trying!!!) If could pick would love 3 children, always picture 2 girls and a boy...but will be happy with whatever we're given

Who's next??

onelifeonechance · 20/11/2013 16:22

Lucy - pickle - love it Grin

onelifeonechance · 20/11/2013 16:23

Crazy, if i'm lucky enough to have a boy may have to tap you for names...can never think if any...got loads of girls names!!!

crazylady2013 · 20/11/2013 16:25

Onelife that sounds like a plan. We can swop as DH and I can't agree on girls names that we both like.

Rubyshoe · 20/11/2013 16:29

OK..... Here's me... I'm 37. DH 38, one angel baby July 13. We had planned 2 kids with a 4 year age gap but now I'm like, let just pop em out as quick as we can and see how many we can manage. Boys /girls, snouts or curly tails I don't care as long as they're alive! On the upside ladies, after a few months of AF reminiscent of teenage periods, I can happily announce that I've been bleeding like a stuffed pig for 2 days and am thrilled. It's just like the good old days .... I'm back and feeling positive! Pass the baileys and throw another log on the fire!

lucyfluff · 20/11/2013 16:29

he he onelife Wink

come on girls this is fun!!!!!

Hibou7688 · 20/11/2013 16:30

Helloo... Well i decided to stop ttc after a week into cycle 1(change of job meaning i'll lose some mat pay), then decided i'd gotten all excited about it and I had savings anyways so will ttc after all... We only dtd once before we decided to wait, and that was on the same day that my af arrived for nov.. Dtd in morning, af a bit later in the day. I opk'd a week later and got a positive on a cheapy opk. TMI now.. Today I had a tiny bit of spotting (never ever had spotting before at all) and when i wiped it was a darker colour too.

Part of me thinks that i dtd too early to catch ovulation... But then part of me thinks why have I suddenly got this spotting going on! Don't really know why i'm asking, just wanted to put it out there haha. Anyone think i'm just doing stupid symptom spotting or could this be something???

Hibou7688 · 20/11/2013 16:34

Should intro myself.. Oops!! I'm 25, OH 29 and this would be number 1!

PunkyPod · 20/11/2013 16:40

I'm 29 and DP is 32. Our DD is 17 months and I'd like at least 3 kids. Not fussed on boy or girl. Before our DD I guess I'd have said I want 1 of each but DD has been pretty awesome so another like her would be great! Oh and we're getting married in January. Going to be a big wedding and I really hope I have a tiny bean growing inside me by then Smile We were blessed to get DD straight after a mc so my heart is expecting it to be as easy this time. Head knows it can be very different though.
Lovely getting to know you all.
(Oh and thinking about names already isn't crazy, DP and I have a girls one and are working on a boy one Wink)

onelifeonechance · 20/11/2013 17:17

Rubyshoe, you are so right, all we can wish for is for our dcs to be healthy. I'm so sorry to read of your loss,, can only imagine, really admire your strength and sending you the very best wishes for this bus....we will certainly help to keep you positive with our festive ridiculousness!!! Pours Ruby another large Baileys&helps self to one too...why the devil not Grin Anyone else for a tipple?

Newlywed2013 · 20/11/2013 17:27

I'm 24 and husband is 23, 24 next month! We are trying for our first and ideally would like two! One of each! I would love a girl first though!

On another note! Finished and wrapped all Xmas shopping except hubby's! Don't know what the hell to get him! Our first Xmas married!

offers round the mince pies

lucyfluff · 20/11/2013 17:55

ooooo mince pie and big glass of rose please Grin

lucyfluff · 20/11/2013 17:57

Our first xmas married too Smile we are doing treat bags for each other instead of a big pressie....lets hope a bfp stick is included in hubsters Wink

Littlebear88 · 20/11/2013 18:13

I'm 25 DH is 27, ttc #1, we would like 2 children with 4-5 year age gap,(our house is big enough for 1 but need to save for bigger house for 2!!) we would be happy with boy or girl but I would swing more to a boy for my first, although either would be a blessing!

HollyBen · 20/11/2013 18:30

Ooh love this! I am a positively ancient (in comparison to the rest of you) 39, DH is 40. We have one DD who I'd 2.8. Just the one more for us I suspect but I would secretly love another 2. Not sure why but both DH and I have 2 siblings so feels right. And twins do run in my family so who knows.

I don't like baileys (bad students days experience) but maybe a little brandy to warm up on the cold evening - anyone?

Ellisisland · 20/11/2013 18:38

I'm 30 and so is DH. We have one DS who is 20 months and we have been married for 2 years but together for 10. I work part time at the moment and we really want another DC now so that I can go full time in a year or so to help us get a mortgage.
It took one cycle to get pregnant with DS so fingers crossed its as simple this time! Blush
I love reading other peoples stats!

KitKat1985 · 20/11/2013 18:48

Glad to see I'm not the only one planning to use Christmas festivities as a distraction. :) Can't wait! Today I decided to throw myself into catching up on some of the admin parts of my job, partly because it had to be done anyway, (I put it off a lot because it's a part of the job that I hate!) and partly it's a distraction from TTC until pay day when I can go Christmas shopping! This has partly been because I have felt bloated, tired and crampy the past couple of days and have had the sneaking suspicion I may be imagining pregnancy symptoms because I've been really broody the past couple of days. HOWEVER, at 4pm I went to the loo and there was a small amount of blood there. Only a few drops of 'fresh' looking blood (sorry if TMI) and it seems to have stopped now, so don't think it's the start of my period. This is either spotting because I only stopped the pill 2 and a half weeks ago (although I've never spotted before, even when I've stopped taking the pill for a few months); or wishful thinking alert is it an implantation bleed? However, when I consulted Dr Google (!) it says implantation bleeding usually occurs about 6-12 days after ovulation. But, (calculating rather roughly from the first day of my post-pill bleed), I'm only on CD14, so for this to be the case I would have had to have ovulated straight after / just a few days after I finished bleeding (I bled from days 1-4). Surely that can't be possible?!? Although saying this, I have a friend who got pregnant because she was 3 days starting her next pill packet (mix-up with getting the prescription) so she must have ovulated straight away after finishing her 1-week break. My head is fried! So much for distracting myself from this for a while! Confused

Hope everyone else is having a good week. Smile xx

DaisyDoo44 · 20/11/2013 18:50

Hello. We're 33 with 1 DS aged 2.5. I would like 2 but if I'm honest I've always wanted to play Russian roulette on the possibility of a 3rd! Having taken nearly a year ttc number 2 I'm definitely not worrying about contraception after number 2, put it that way. Ha ha ha
If I'm honest I'd marginally prefer another boy, not sure why, but can only think of girls names so maybe that's a sign.
Entering the 2ww today. Not sure whether to make DH DTD again tonight just to make sure (poor guy has worked 14 hour days the last 3 days and has a cold and comes home to a demanding wife!!)
