Hi All,

Anyone else around for the Dec bus yet? I think AF has managed to kick me off Nov already as she has arrived a few days early, and my cycle will probably mean she is next due at the beginning of Dec rather than Nov.

So does anyone else want to climb on board and help me hang tinsel and drink mulled wine to while away the time until that bfp in Dec?

I'm taking it to try and lengthen lp which is around 10 days, and also to try and stop my pre af spotting. I took 100mg for 2 months, worked perfectly 1st month - extended lp by a day and no spotting (no bfp though!) but the 2nd month I didnt ov, got to something like cd 21 with no sign so stopped taking it altogether and ov'd within a couple of days but had a really long cycle for me. I also got tingly/stabby boobs so I think 100mg was just too much for me. Last cycle i didnt take it at all til ov then took 30mg. Had my strange chemical pg last cycle so I think it worked to some extent. I think I'm going to do nothing til ov then 50 after this cycle. I really think it's just seeing what works for you.I know choccy and mama do 50 before ov then 100 after.

SaraRB123 · 18/11/2013 22:00

Oh lord I only ov'd at the weekend and already I'm dying to poas...I am not daft enough to think even if I am pg it will show, but I'm just excited!! Never been in the 2ww before!! Grin

woodwaj · 18/11/2013 23:04

Hi can I hop on? TTC no.1 cycle 15 bfp due 4th December (I think)I have pcos currently on round 3 of clomid. Also recently added a pic of todays ovulation stick if it's clear enough for anyone to make out. Would appreciate any comments!

MundayCakes85 · 19/11/2013 06:07

Morning ladies, had a few days away while AF was here feeling sorry for myself. But I plan to head to the shops after work to stock up on more vitamins and pre seed and grapefruit juice and I'm going to smash it (not literally!) this month. The relaxed approach obviously didn't work last month Sad
Also going to the doctor for other reason so will pick his brains and ask for a blood test, I work in the lab so hopefully he'll pay attention!
In the mean time pass me some got chocolate and the short bread tin!
MundayCakes85 ttc #1, cycle 5 BFP due 15th Dec

Polkadot1 · 19/11/2013 08:36

Panic over! Was just the new sticks- solid face this morning!

Wineandchoccy · 19/11/2013 09:03

Uhh horrible AF this month I feel really sorry for myself, painful cramps, headache and feel crappy Sad

Anyway moan over I'm working near a waitrose today so going to get posh grapefruit juice to see if it tastes any better!

rockin20s · 19/11/2013 09:59

Can I ask ye about periods?
I have on average a 27 day cycle but my period only lasts about 3 days. This month I only had 2 heavy days with just a day of spotting on either side.

is this to little? has any one had similar? has anyone had issues with not enough uterus lining build up for implantation? and is there anything natural i can take to help build up a thicker lining?

Karmalaa · 19/11/2013 11:08

ooo grapefruit juice, that's something I've not done this month... I feel a lunchtime trip to the supermarket coming on! How much grapefruit juice do I need? Is the fruit just as good or does it need to be juice? I also heard on the Nov bus about pineapple after ov but I'm allergic to it...

woodwaj · 19/11/2013 11:24

Does grapefruit juice taste bad?

Rockin, I think there is something you can do to lengthen your cycle but im not sure what it is. Mine are similar 5 days but last 2 are just very light.

Wineandchoccy · 19/11/2013 11:35

I bought sainsburys grapefruit juice last month and it tasted very sour but you do get used to it, I'm hoping waitrose may taste better!

flymo79 · 19/11/2013 11:43

hey rockin
I would speak to your doc. I have a friend who has had two babies and her cycles were short with really short periods. She did get all her bloods done though and found out she had a thyroid prob, but I don't know how much it had to do with her cycles. Anyway, see if you can get your bloods done (day 21 test and a day 2 test should pick up your hormone levels and also check your thyroid etc) but a proper scan will tell you more about your uterine lining. I wouldn't panic about anything though, like my friend it could all just take a couple of months but you'll get there! If you see your doc and get the ball rolling it might make you feel better than googling or self-diagnosing!

mama31 · 19/11/2013 11:52

Hey ladies hope you are all keeping well.

Imaginary I'm really considering cutting out the b6 this cycle. AF is only starting full flow today which is a 28 day cycle rather than my usual 23-25 days, which sounds ok but it's not because I've had the spotting since Friday! My LP was 10 days and has been every cycle no matter what I do! The b6 delayed my ovulation from Cd 10 to Cd 13 but it still was only 10 days LP until the spotting started!

Not sure what to do! Might just leave out the b6 this month and see what happens! I'm sick of experimenting but also worried a 10 day LP is not long enough!

Think I'll forget the b6 and the pineapple core and will just focus on Christmas and having fun this month! Who's with me??? :)

rockin20s · 19/11/2013 11:55

Thanks Flymo,

We are not offically trying yet but I have an awful feeling its going to take ages so I have started temping and using OPK to pin point my fertile time. Last month I ovulated on day 14 and had a 15 day Luteral phase. So im happy that I have enough time to implant.

I've always had a 3-4 day period, so have never been too worried to now. Ill look into getting my bloods done but i wonder will the doctor just tell me to TTC fro 6 months and then come back.

I know I'm over thinking all of this but i just cant help it.

onelifeonechance · 19/11/2013 14:02

Mama, i'm def in a sod it mood this month! Fed up of being good (I've cut back so much on wine i'm practically teetotal, not much fun 6 months down the line&obviously not helping so i'm trying a different tact, i.e drinking!!!! Well it is Christmas after all!) Also fed up of peeing on things. Haven't started my cbfm yet this month, not sure why, just can't be bothered....but think this will change in next few days. ... Just going to try and enjoy the festivities&not worry bout it all, if we're still in the same boat after Christmas then we'll pay the doctor a visit Hmm. But for now I intend to enjoy Christmas & all it has to offer Smile Cracks open massive bottle of andstarts pouring.....cheers ladies Grin

onelifeonechance · 19/11/2013 14:08

Woodwaj! Good to have you aboard, is this your first bus, haven't seen you on these before, welcome Afraid I can't help on your opk sticks as don't use that type but sure someone who knows what they're talking about will look at them for you. How you getting on?

Hello to Broody too& anyone else who's joined since I was last on, the bus is filling up nicely, have some fizz ladies Grin

BeigeBuffet · 19/11/2013 14:14

onelife I've heard many mum's say that their first emotion upon finding out they were pg was guilt because they had been drinking, eating all the wrong things etc.

Although I'm not advocating full on carnage, there must be something in it, when you relax, have fun, stop worrying and stop obsessing maybe that's when it happens. December is going to be my 1st month ttc so I don't speak from experience and as a natural born worrier I'm unlikely to take my own advice but I've been told it so many times that I think there's something in it.

I suggest that you upgrade to a bottle of bubbly and have an amazing, just for the hell of it shag!! Xx

onelifeonechance · 19/11/2013 14:27

Thanks Beige. Hoping you're right! I'm a worrier too so started off really trying to do the right thing but now i'm worried that by trying to do the right thing i'm actually doing the wrong thing as its not working!!! So just going to enjoy Christmas&see where we're up to in the new year. Will def upgrade to the bubbles&my dh will certainly approve of your other suggestion!!! Grin

Are you trying for your first? Good luck Smile

BeigeBuffet · 19/11/2013 14:38

Yes trying for our first. I've had to have a word with myself because I've been following these boards for a while and have found myself symptom spotting when I'm not even trying!! For me, the chance to talk openly is amazing and I can ask loads of questions but I have to remind myself that I can't take everything on board. Plus my concentration was suffering.

However, I am looking forward to a poas party when I'm ready!

Good luck and lots of Christmas merrymaking to you all x

woodwaj · 19/11/2013 15:09

Hi all

yes onelife. I am popping my bus cherry!! With OH being away thought some company might be nice and maybe it will bring me some luck!! So ill enjoy the fizz and wonder when its acceptable to ask for a top up!!

rockin20s · 19/11/2013 15:13

I am planning a very merry christmas! the bottles are being stock piled Wine Smile

Newlywed2013 · 19/11/2013 15:19

mama31 · 19/11/2013 15:33

Yay onelife!!! :) I'm glad we are in the same boat, I'm not even looking on amazon for anything this month. I have 5 cheap opk tests and 2 CB digital opk tests and ill use them if I feel like it but if not I won't bother!

I'm going to enjoy Christmas parties, not watch what I eat or drink, going to shop til I drop and going to have a real good time!!! DH will prob get swimmers check after Christmas as don't even want to put that on him beforehand!

So yes crack open the fiz....cheers ladies!!!!! The b6 and pineapple core has left the building! ;)

Rubyshoe · 19/11/2013 15:40

Hi all Can I join the party bus? Cycle 3 ttc #2 (first daughter H was stillborn at 40+ 3 at end of July 13 - heartbroken) getting good support on stillbirth thread but definitely need some chums now back on ttc roller-coaster! Trying to keep some perspective but it comes and goes. All Jaffa cakes and arm punches welcome, ThoRAVENomiki please pass the Quality Street down this way. although probably shouldn't as am 37 and a bit fat! AF arrived today so BFP due Dec 17th!

Karmalaa · 19/11/2013 15:40

I tried not thinking about it last month and was rubbish at it! I was off and symptom spotting at 2DPO so this month I'm going to get better at thinking about it less! Hoping the festive happenings will take my mind off it as got lots to wrap and plan. CD9 today, not going to OPK just going to DTD every other day (or every day maybe if I feel like it!) still temping though, can't break that habit!

rockin20s · 19/11/2013 15:52

Welcome Rubyshoe, I'm so sorry for your loss!
Hope this december is good to you and all of us!
