Hi. Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. We had a fantastic time and everyone was healthy for once!
Hope you have a great Hogmanay and 2014 is a happy and healthy one.

Looking forward to shroom's new arrival next year. Smile
Oh and mrskate's too. Smile

NoRumoursAtTheInn · 01/01/2014 14:31

Happy new year Weebles Smile Smile Smile

just watching the sound of music and thinking of bluesatinsash Grin Grin xx

Shroomboom · 01/01/2014 21:26

Ooh I watched a bit of that too rumours, such a fab film!

Happy New Year everyone, hope you all had a good New Year and did lots of celebrating Smile May 2014 be a wonderful year for you all!

All good here, 36+4 now and getting loads of BH's, some period pains and lower back pain so dh thinks we may not get to our due date of 25th Jan! Just want baby here now, safely in our arms. We've been told it's a whopper, so am a bit nervous about pushing it out! Have got induction booked for 27th Jan if still pg by then, so this baby should definitely be a January baby!

How are you doing mrskate? Are you still feeling rough? Hope it's bearable, but enough to reassure you Smile Do you have a date for your first scan yet?

Moon so lovely to hear that J is 14 weeks already, where does the time fly to?! Yes it is hard, but oh so worth it! When I think back now to ds's early days I only remember the good times, not the tough ones!

Neeko glad to hear you had a lovely Christmas, and that there were no bugs around! What did you do on Christmas Day?

Blue you are just lovely, thank you! I still can't quite believe we find ourselves with just over three weeks to go, I think I need someone to pinch me Grin Christmas was lovely, but tbh we won't relax until the baby's here. Three years ago we had a big family Christmas here and my FIL's girlfriends daughter was heavily pg which I found incredibly difficult. I never dreamt that this Christmas it would be my turn Smile. I am so very lucky!
How are your beautiful boys? I love the photo's that you post too, and I have to say that little B just makes my heart melt! They are both such beautiful boys, you must be very proud of them Smile

Cloud so sweet to hear about ds's nativity, bet he looked gorgeous! Were you allowed to take pics? Hope you got some good ones if you were…

4ever Gorgeous pics!!! Can't believe how grown up Summer looks now, and her hair looks so long! They are so cute together Smile They must make you so very happy Smile

Sabs so sorry to hear you're having sleep problems with ds Sad Have they improved now that you've started weaning him? I remember ds going through a bad patch at just before 6 months, and it was the weaning that helped him. What about trying to get him to suck his thumb if he won't accept a dummy? I know it's a pain to stop later on, but it might help now? Really hope you're managing to get a bit more sleep.

LBM think someone's already said it but you sound like superwoman with all that you do!! Where do you find the energy?!

Must go, am feeling pretty uncomfortable and the little monkey keeps sticking feet where there are not supposed to be feet!! Ow! Also got more period pain this evening - bring it on!!!

Love to all xxx

Neeko · 01/01/2014 23:29

Shroom. So excited for you! Can't wait to read your "our baby is here!" post. It actually makes me quite emotional just thinking about it. Blush It has been such a long and difficult road for you and I'm just so happy for you. Bet your gorgeous boy is about ready to burst with excitement too. Good luck and enjoy!
(Christmas was everyone here - DPs and in-laws- I love it! We have a month of celebrating between birthdays, Christmas and New Year. All celebrations revolve around food. I'm actually looking forward to a day's fasting come Monday.Wink)

Rumours. I caught 5 mins of that film today too and immediately thought of Blue. Smile How are you doing? Keep meaning to text or what's app you but always remember at very late or early times when you probably wouldn't appreciate it! Grin

Hope everyone else is ok. 4ever did you buy those peppa weebles? It's all about Frozen here. Have seen it twice, have some toys and we are all im patiently waiting on the DVD release in March. Grin

CloudOfStarlings · 01/01/2014 23:55

Ahh neeko I took ds1 to see Frozen today, our first cinema date! I definitely enjoyed it more than him, haha! Sooo good isn't it!
Happy new year to all lovely ladies! Hope it's a really good one for all of you. It's so quiet on here now..only just over 100 posts on this thread, I shouldn't have given it a wintery title!! :) but nice to know you're all lurking somewhere..
shroom happy baby year!! SO excited for you! We need to start a sweepstake! they can be wrong about baby's size don't forget, bet it's a dainty little thing really. I'm going to guess at

Cloud - 21st Jan, girl, 8lbs 2oz
Neeko -18th Jan, girl, 8lbs 13oz

Sorry, Shroom, but you did say this one is supposed to be big!

Cloud- Frozen is excellent. I love how feisty and resourceful the Disney princesses are now. They've come such a long way since the meek and mild Snow White. Certainly makes my life-lessons to my girls easier Wink.
It's lovely when they are old enough to go to the cinema. DH and I were watching the trailers and there's at least 4 kids films coming soon that we'd like to see - and the kids might like too! Grin

Do you remember when we could fill a thread in a week? I think it's a positive indication of how far we've all come. It's nice to know that the greenhouse is still here when we need it.

bluesatinsash · 02/01/2014 10:54

Happy New Year everyone!! Grin

I'll add my guess:

Cloud - 21st Jan, girl, 8lbs 2oz
Neeko -18th Jan, girl, 8lbs 13oz
Blue - 16th Jan, boy, 9lb 4oz Wink

Hope you all had a magical Christmas and are feeling inspired for 2014. I'm filling up my "to-do" list nicely and have decided to give up chocolate for a month. Even refused my own chocolate log yesterday Grin. Not for weight reasons more health and blood/sugar ones. Also to see if I have any willpower whatsoever.

rumours and neeko yes I also watched The Sound of Music and was dancing with B to "my favourite things" Smile

cloud we still have to take the boys to see Frozen, the trailers look amazing. We took DS1 to see the hobbit and he loved it Smile

So years after everyone else I finally watched "Sherlock" last night. Loved it! I'm so used to watching American drama on box set that I miss a lot of good old British drama (Luthur, Broadchurch, Downton etc). We do have breaking bad on box set to wade through tho' and neeko STILL waiting on Greys returning!

I'm off to Glasgow shortly to meet friend for lunch. She's had a hard few months as her Dmum has cancer. Big hugs the order of the day.

This afternoon we're taking the tree down, we're back to work tomorrow and like house to be all fresh and clean and new year-y Smile

Can't believe we're going to be welcoming shroom's baby very very soon - eeep! Come on baby skylander!! Wink

Laters ladies xx

Shroomboom · 02/01/2014 13:45

Ooh a sweepstake for me, I love it Grin

Not so sure I love the increasing weight estimates though Wink

Shroomboom · 02/01/2014 20:05

Btw ds was 6lb 12oz Smile Not sure whether that has anything to do with anything, but am trying to convince myself it's not going to be too big!!

4everhopeful · 02/01/2014 20:30

Happy New Year my lovelies! So nice to see a little flurry of activity on here! Grin Yes we have all moved on massively haven't we since the days of a thread every couple weeks! But, we are still keeping it going and that's so lovely.. Smile

Shroom I am sooooo excited for you! I got all emotional too when I read your post last night and was speaking to DH about you and how far you've come and how amazingly brilliant it is your little one is nearly here! Bless him, he knows all your stories and was like 'ah yes, the one in Belgium!' Smile

Yes neeko totally agree on Disney pincesses, I LOVE how empowered they are in Frozen.. I keep watching the Let it Go song on youtube, so good! Ds keeps singing it all too & he said he wants to be a snowman when he grows up haha!

4ever I used to be freaked out by Wizard of Oz! But I was a scaredy cat child Grin ds current favorite is Wallace & Gromit, he's obsessed with it!

moon was thinking of you this morning, are you back at work? Hope it all goes ok x x x

4ever. My 7 year old is too scared to watch the wizard of oz! Grin

Neeko · 03/01/2014 12:45

Cloud wanting to be a snowman is so cute! Does he know what happens to snowmen in summer? WinkGrin

I'm back on the fasting diet today and it's feeling tough! Can't cook my carrot soup for lunch and to break my fast quickly enough. I'm even using housework as a distraction and that's never good!

4everhopeful · 03/01/2014 15:02

Grin I have a thrill seeking child who watches some of it through her fingers but won't be torn away from it!

Loving the fierce & feisty Disney princesses too! Brave was great, & Tangled, must see Frozen! Summers in love with Tinkerbell right now.. Smile

Well done with the dieting Neeko! Dh is going no carbs again when he's back at work next week, poor thing just getting over gastric flu, Sad prayed so much for healthy kids at Christmas after Summers sickness last Christmas day, didn't think about us and poor Dh was pretty rough from new years eve til yesterday, thankfully we all got through Christmas healthy though! Can't do no carbs myself cos of bf, but luckily that's meant the weights fallen off me without trying and im back at pre pregnancy weight already!

Christmas has left the building here! Blitzed it yesterday, always nice to get it all fresh again for the New year! Also got all emotional putting the pram carrycot part away in the loft, and got the pushchair part down, my boys getting all big! Sad He's 6 months on the 16th! Shock How on earth did that happen?!

moonmrs · 03/01/2014 20:45

Happy New Year girls! Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas and New Year. We had a lovely time, mainly sitting back and watching my beautiful little boy in awe, marvelling at him just being here.

Not back at work yet, dh has had a few jobs with his business so along with some savings have managed to get me off work till March. So grateful to have that extra precious time at home, I would have really struggled to be back at work now.

Posting on phone but promise to come back properly soon. Lovely to see blue posting her wise words and woop for shroom and our next baby weeble! Btw I got told J would be huge and he was 7lb 12oz so they dont always know what they're talking about!

CloudOfStarlings · 04/01/2014 07:37

Yep moon, have heard lots of people say that re baby's weight.. conversely nobody ever said I was measuring big/had a big baby and he was 10lbs!!
Sooo glad to hear you have a bit more time off work, that's fab :)

Aww 4ever so bittersweet watching the little ones get bigger..wow 6 months already! Are you weaning? I found that a bit of a pain second time round! Ds2 was on chunky food a lot faster than ds1 cos of no time for puree-ing so was probably good for him in some ways!
