No sleep last night but dh has interview today so I stayed up all night with him so he could get some sleep.... little monkey sleeping on my chest now. Have added a new photo of him he's changed so much.

neeko yes I have a constant supply of biscuits in the house these days, I never used to eat biscuits! Waistline expanding as I type!

Shroomboom · 30/10/2013 15:52

Oh moon he is just gorgeous and you're obviously doing an amazing job because he looks glowing with health! Just hang on in there, it is so tough at the beginning but gradually it should start to get easier... Just do whatever you have to do to get through this time - I did all the wrong things with ds, falling asleep in bed feeding him, feeding him to sleep and then putting him in the Moses basket, but they are so tiny at the beginning that I truly don't believe that doing what you need to do now to survive will lead to any bad habits in the long run. We didn't listen to any of the advice but ds was amazingly sleeping through the night by 9 weeks! Just do what you need to survive Smile oh! and sleep when J sleeps! Ignore all housework etc, it'll always be there, but you need to keep your sanity!
I'm sure you're doing brilliantly!

bq so sorry to hear you're having problems ttc number 2 Sad Really hope you get lucky soon. Did you go to the doctors about the lack of speech? What did they say? DS was the same at that age and he ended up being diagnosed with glue ear, but after his grommets was like a different child. Hope it's something easily fixable for you too.

MLS How are you doing? I love the car caddies by the way!! If this baby is a boy then I shall be ordering one! They're fab Grin Bet you must be snowed under with orders...

4ever So sorry to hear about dh's grandad Sad It is a shame that he didn't get to meet Teddy, but thank goodness he got to know about him, and had a picture of him. I'm sure he must've been a very proud great grandad!
How are S and T? S sounds like such a little trooper! Is she still loving having a baby brother?

Neeko your family time sounds lovely Smile Hope you are all well in the Neeko household!

Hello cloud and anyone else I've missed too, hope you're all okay xxx

We're on half term this week so am trying to entertain ds Grin at the same time as trying to find a creche place for next year (virtually impossible it seems) Am now 27+4 (eek!) and starting to feel a bit uncomfortable!
Can I be upgraded to big pants now do you think?!

CloudOfStarlings · 30/10/2013 22:57

Oh shroom congrats!! Can't believe how far on you are, you definitely need to plonk your bottom on that big pants bench! Sorry you don't have any company on it at the moment though.. but maybe in a few weeks we'll have another pregnant lady on the thread, seeing as we've never had a time with nobody pregnant yet! bq? Could be you Grin

moon that's fab dh had an interview! How did he get on?

OP posts:
moonmrs · 01/11/2013 12:18

Yay shroom definitely big pants me thinks! 27 weeks for me was when I first started to truly believe I was having a baby - it was when dh started taking weekly bump pics and we started to buy a few little bits and pieces. Looking back now at my 27 week bump pic I look so happy and pleased with myself!

Thanks everyone for all your recent advice, we've decided to let J sleep on his front, and it works, last night he slept for nearly 5 hours straight Shock and the same the night before. We have a breathing monitor in his moses basket and he is right next to me, and although I wake often in a panic to check on him, I think he'll be fine as he is so strong and moves his head very easily, and I would definitely hear if he got into any difficulty. I feel bad for doing it, but we cant be good parents to him with constant sleepless nights, we're all so much happier now.

cloud yes dh got the job! It was a weird one, he got approached by a company he'd never heard of who had seen his cv online, turns out he'll be working with someone he used to work with nearly 10 years ago! Its only contract work atm (4.5 months) but perfect timing as it means I can take a little more time off work, and after his contract is up there is the potential to make it permanent. Its not great pay, but topped up with my smp (my cmp ends early Dec) we can just about manage with me not going back to work for at least another month or so, maybe more.... Very happy Smile

Waves to everyone else, need to dash as J gets weighed again today.

CloudOfStarlings · 01/11/2013 14:11

Oh moon that is amazing news about the job!! So pleased for you, you'll start to feel like a different woman now I bet with that not hanging over you, & a bit more sleep!
And the sleep thing was exactly the same with my ds2, midwife told me she has a theory back to back babies prefer to sleep on their tummies (was he back to back?) ..it was the only way anyone was getting any sleep in this house too. I woke panicking all the time in the night but like yours, my ds had really good head control. Hope you'll all be a lot happier now!

Neeko · 01/11/2013 21:30

Wow moon great news about your DH and the job SmileSmile and glad you are finally getting some rest. Sounds like you are in your happy ever after SmileSmileSmile.

Shroombigpantscongrats. GrinHope you have managed to sort out childcare. Crazy that you have to do it already.

Hello to Cloud. How's everything with you. Less than 8 weeks til Christmas. Took the Halloween decorations down today. Let the festive season begin WinkWink.

Hope everyone else is ok. 4ever you have been quiet?!?

moonmrs · 02/11/2013 15:14

cloud yes J was back to back so there may be something in that theory. I daren't tell anyone I'm doing it, but he sleeps so well that way, another 5 hours last night.

neeko I was laughing at you being so organised for Christmas so early, but now I'm jealous, I knew I would be! Can't believe its approaching so quickly.

Yes 4ever you've been quiet, hope all is ok, and mrskate too.

Well dh and his job.....looks like the company have reneged on their contract Sad Its a bit of a long story but in a nutshell: got approached by the boss offering a permanent position, was low paid and beneath what dh can do but was willing to do it no problems, went for interview boss said you're too good for this, let me offer you something better, of course dh agreed. Turns out the company haven't decided 'where they're going' so they don't need dh after all. Feel like they've diddled him out of the original job as they have someone else to do the permanent position, which dh would gladly have taken had he not been offered the other one. They've gone back on their word which makes me Angry especially after they'd agreed money and start dates, how can they just take it away again? Sadly no contract signed it was all verbal, was waiting for contract in post. So I will have to go back to work early after all.

Neeko · 03/11/2013 21:43

Aww Moon absolutely gutted for you and raging on behalf of your DH. What a terrible thing to do. HmmHmm

CloudOfStarlings · 04/11/2013 10:30

moon that is so rubbish :( I'm so sorry, how frustrating after all the waiting! I'm sure something else will come up though. Glad sleep still good! X

iggypiggy · 13/11/2013 21:13

I keep vaguely trying to find you and failing - and suddenly I succeed! Grin

How are you Neeko Grin

And everyone else for that matter!

Neeko · 15/11/2013 21:18

Hi iggy. Just read back that message and it sounded far more cheeky than I meant. Sorry.
I'm good thanks. How are you? Come and tell us all your news.

Cupcake it's not like you to be so disorganised for Christmas. It'll soon be Love Actually time Smile.

In case Blue is lurking, grey's starts back on living on the 27th. I'm so excited.

Off to write more Christmas cards and avoid marking. Wink Hope everyone is doing ok.

CloudOfStarlings · 16/11/2013 07:21

neeko I know!! I feel vaguely panicky that I haven't even decided what crafts I'll do with the kids.. Grin think I'm gonna have to lift my pinterest ban & get on there to look for ideas! The Imagination Tree has some lovely ideas I've seen though.
Yes, nearly Love Actually time, can't wait! I've already watched The Family Stone, another of my fave Xmas films..I couldn't resist & it always gives me a good cry that one too!

Have a nice weekend all..lovely to see you pop in iggy :)

OP posts:
Neeko · 16/11/2013 08:44

Cupcake I think we are going to make marshmallow snowmen this year and wrap them in cellophane bags. I really like the kids to make something as gifts to teach them that Christmas isn't all about Santa but I'm short on ideas this year. Last year's reusable shopping bag from the clever baggers with personalised pictures drawn by the kids went down a storm.
[Santa did manage to find the tetska puppy for almost half price this morning though. Should make a very happy DD1.]

Rumours · 16/11/2013 10:05

Neeko I did tea towels this year from the cleverbaggers. got the kids to draw fround their hands and used them as the reindeers antlers. Looks cute, a big and a wee reindeer side by side Smile Smile
