Hi Moon how's DS doing? Z is very different from S and is harder work / I think it's a boy thing! I was very lucky with S as she was sleeping through the night from 7 weeks whereas Z wakes up on average 3 times a night.

Z is 5 and a half months and we'll be staring to wean soon. Z doesn't seem to be interested in food - I know I shouldn't compare but Saara definitely started showing interest by this age. She was also rolling over, sitting up and holding onto toys, none of which Z is doing. I mentioned it to the HV who said we can discuss it if he's still not doing any of these at his next weigh-in at 6 months in a couple of weeks.

Neeko · 26/11/2013 21:38

Whoop whoop for mrsKate. Brilliant news GrinGrinGrin

Back later. Too tired to write more tonight.

bakingqueen · 26/11/2013 22:18

so pleased for your mrs kate, saw your fb comment and hoped thats what it meant.

sorry im rubbish at keeping up must try harder, hope your all ok, ds got diagnosed with glue ear which is why he cant really speak so awaiting surgery

4everhopeful · 27/11/2013 03:05

Hooooooge CONGRATULATIONS Mrsk! Grin I've a v strong feeling this is your time! Grin Its just over a yr since I got my bfp with Teddy Grin so looks like a July baby for you!!!

Lovely to see the lurkers delurking! Big waves to u all!

Rumours hope the apt went well, your poor Ds Confused did they explain it to him? Hope he's not too nervous? When's the op?

Bq nice to see you! At least now you got a reason re the speech that can be sorted Smile

Sabs my lovely, I've definitely heard boys develop different to girls, Teddy not sitting up, crawling or rolling yet either (well he's rolled twice!). Can't actually remember exactly when Summer did it all? Hmm Does grab his toys though, and everything is going in his mouth! He's a big boy, now in 6-9m clothes at 4&1/2m, (Summer in 5/6 at 3&1/2! Shock) So, despite the 6m guidelines, the last 2 days we tried him on some baby rice! He's taking it too!

Anyway night feed done, oh yeah, and we are on an average of 2 wakes a night too (think its a bf vs ff thing) another reasoning behind weaning! All in all the lil fella is very easy, adaptable & chilled though, which is a gratefully accepted necessity being a 2nd child, with a lively 3yr old going to school! Smile

Shroomboom · 27/11/2013 21:29

Hooray, such lovely news mrskate GrinGrinGrin I too saw your FB comment, and had my fingers crossed that it was what I thought it was! How are you feeling?

CloudOfStarlings · 28/11/2013 13:31

Hi ladies!
mrskate so pleased for you!! And see, we never have nobody pregnant on the thread!! I just knew someone would get upduffed before shroom has her little one..yipppeeeee :):):) congratulations!

4ever Shock at S in 5/6 clothes!! Ds1 is still in 2-3y for most things and ds2 catching him up fast!

sabs my ds2 is definitely developing slower in some areas than ds1... at 18months ds1 had so many words, but ds2 is 18mo now and only has 6 or 7 words... you can't help but compare but it is quite normal for them to be different. I have several friends with 6 month old babies who aren't quite sitting up yet btw.

rumours hope all goes ok with ds2's surgery bless him :( so hard to watch them go through stuff like that.

bq glad you have a diagnosis now that's good news :)

moon hope you're doing ok lovely

Well I've got my hour or so to myself now with one boy at school and one asleep.. yay :)

Yay for mrskate - I too saw facebook and hoped that was what it meant :)

Loving all the craft talk - we did Marshmallow snowmen a couple of weeks ago for the Christmas craft competition at school - DD1 loved making them and eating them even if she didn't win.
Found a great site that I linked to on facebook with lots of lovely ideas - I like the crafts that come with poems etc, will try and find the link for here. Will be going to cleverbaggers for next years. Christmas photo done today.

Sorry for being MIA - am in the middle of major building, as well work being mental and Christmas coming. Santa asked DD2 what she wanted for Christmas and she didn't know. She's now thought about it and she would like some PJ's for her baby and perhaps a new jigsaw - oh, if only it always stayed at that level :) Will try and pop in soon .

moon hope you are looking forward to your first Christmas as a family - it's coming soon :)

NoRumoursAtTheInn · 13/12/2013 07:18

Morning Xmas Smile how's everyone doing?

SabsFabulous · 13/12/2013 11:22

Hi Rumours how are you? How's Xmas preps coming along? Has DS had his op?

mrskate hope you're well and are having symptoms galore in the nicest possible way Smile

shroom how long to go? So excited for you Grin

Starling thanks for your words. I'm trying hard not to complain but we're struggling with DS's sleep patterns. He's always been a light sleeper day and night but the past 2 days he's been waking up more and isn't interested in sleeping in his cot, he much prefers our bed, his bouncer or the car seat. He turned 6 months yesterday and we've started weaning so I'm hoping that it will help him to sleep better. The other issue is that he can't self settle and prefers being rocked or fed to sleep, but then he falls asleep in my arms and when I transfer him to the cot he wakes up again. During the night we just end up co-sleeping but he uses me as a dummy and won't take a real dummy. I think it's too soon for any sleeping methods yet but he cries his head off if we try to pat or shush him to sleep. He's still in our room and will be sharing with Saara but I don't want to move him yet as he'll just disturb Saara. He's so different to Saara who was sleeping through from 7 weeks (I know, I know, I shouldn't be comparing) but after 6 months of broken sleep it's starting to wear me down Sad

SabsFabulous · 13/12/2013 11:23

Meant to write Cloud not Starling Blush I blame the sleep deprivation

NoRumoursAtTheInn · 13/12/2013 12:01

Hi Sabs sorry to hear you're having sleep battles, we are still having them at age 4 Sad so with you on the sleep depravation.
Christmas is pretty much organised now and ds2's op in now January which I am thankful for Xmas Smile.
xx

littlebellsmum · 17/12/2013 23:03

good evening lovely ladies - I'm going to attempt to write a post on my tablet which will no doubt be a total disaster and make me swear a ot. just waiting for the pen to write Christmas cards

baking pretty !much done, school nearly over thank the lord and work calm. Building pretty much complete and looking fantastic but lots of painting to do - so that will be Christmas done then!

the wrapping fest needs to begin but that may be Sunday and Monday - well for the dc's and dh at least. older dc's have done a great job helping me to wrap family presents - we hgasd a wrapping party - Xmas music, hats, quality street and a mound of presents to be wrapped. best homemade present has been pots of snow - everyone's getting one. jar filled with white sweets and a rhyme on the back about white Christmases and snow.

just need to plan a Christmas dinner and find somewhere for us to sleep - the lounge floor is quickly losing favour.

sabs re sleep - its so hard isn't it. more so when your first sleeps as you have no strategy's to solve it. just keep reminding yourself that this too shall past. enjoy the co sleeping - my D's won't even allow me to cuddle or kiss him now and hasn't since he was six and so I remember the days of him always starting the days in our bed with great fondness........

4everhopeful · 21/12/2013 23:31

Hello ladies! Merry Christmas! Xmas Grin

Shroom how are you doing? Think of you lots and so excited for you! Xmas Smile when exactly is your edd?

Mrskate Been thinking of you also and hope all is well? How far along now? Being pregnant at Christmas is lovely!

Lbm lovely to hear all your updates, I always picture your Christmas being a real everyone involved full on family affair! ! Xmas Smile when exactly is your edd?

Sabs know we been in touch but how's the sleep going? It can all turn around in the blink of an eye though, Teddy's quite unpredictable, last night just woke once, yet last week seemed to be every couple of hours, like Lbm rightly said though, it won't last long in the great scheme of things Xmas Smile

Rumours glad DS op isn't til the new year so you can get Christmas out the way. . How's everything else going? Loving the name change too btw Xmas Smile

Moon are you all excited for your boys first Christmas? Have you got an abundance of 'baby's 1st Christmas' stuff? I went overboard with Summer and have done the same again with Teddy! Xmas Smile

Cloud you've been quiet! Is this your first Christmas in your new home? I've lost all track of events! It's been quite a year! Xmas Grin Just must of done his first nativity? Summer did hers last week and I could of burst! She was a dancing bird and came onstage doing her piece and sung & danced and has spent the last 2 weeks continually bursting into various songs! Xmas Grin

Neeko I've a sudden even more new found respect for the fantasticness of teacher's and all they do and how hard they work! Summers are all sooo lovely.. You've been quiet too Mrs

Well, I can talk, barely seem to have a second, but loving it for the most part! The daily school run, my gorgeous boy and the prep for Christmas has just been crazily time consuming, I only seem to sit down to feed Teddy! He's 5months now and I just don't know where the times gone? ! He's an absolute delight and I know I'm very lucky to be blessed with a very mellow happy easygoing little baby, he's a real chunk love him! Must put some new pics on! Really looking forward to a lovely family Christmas, Dh is off til new year, so will be great being the 4 of us..

Anyway just had to post and say a very Merry Christmas to you amazing and wonderful ladies, and to say yet another huge thank you for the overwhelming support you gave me through this time last year, when I was in my scary early weeks of my pregnancy with Teddy, unable to think beyond the week ahead, right up to his birth in July! Xmas Grin It feels like forever ago and like he's always been in our lives already, just to think we have these 2 precious miracles when we didn't dare to believe we'd even have 1!

Anyway, that all just came out, but from the bottom of my heart, Thank you... We may not post like we all used too, but you will always be so special to me, I have a tradition of buying Summer Weebles every Christmas in honour! Xmas Grin

So a Very Merry Christmas to each of you, to all our lurkers and weebles past! May 2014 bring all we could wish for... Xmas Grin

Love ya! Xxxxxxxx

4everhopeful · 21/12/2013 23:38

Hi to everyone else lurking GrinGrin

moonmrs · 23/12/2013 09:44

Merry Christmas ladies Xmas Grin Sorry to have been awol, I just don't know where the time has gone, J is nearly 14 weeks already Xmas Shock Think this will be my last chance to post to wish you all a very happy Christmas as will be busy for the next few days. Like 4ever I want to thank you all and send you massive hugs for being there for me over the past few years and especially this year throughout my weebles. Still cant believe we have this gorgeous smiley little boy, I love him to bits and I well up just thinking about how lucky we are. Yes it is much harder work than I anticipated but he is worth every second and I wouldn't change a thing. I am truly happy and I couldn't ask for anything else ever.

I hope you all have a lovely Christmas in whatever you're doing and wish you a happy and healthy 2014. Onwards and upwards fellow weebles. Xmas Smile

Merry Christmas Emmsy's Xmas Smile Xmas Smile!!

Have finally got round to bookmarking MN on DH's (read MY) i-pad Xmas Grin though have just painted my nails rouge noir so trying not to smudge Xmas Confused

Hope everyone's ready for Santa? We are and can't wait! I'm taking the DS's to church tonight and then it's bath and off to bed for them and red wine and "it's a wonderful life" for DH and me.

cloud that's lovely news that your friend had the best ever Xmas present and yes B was 4 yesterday and spent all day in his ghostbusters top with me shouting "who ya gonna call". He's daft on the film, finds Bill Murray hilarious Xmas Grin. We threw him a party on Sunday with 12 of his little friends and it was a blast. Old school simon says and musical statues and no party bags just a royal crown and punch balloon each Xmas Smile. So cloud like you I'm just a teeny bit obsessed with pinterest and also have to give myself set times or I just browse the garden/quote/house decor pages for hours Xmas Blush.

shroom I've loved seeing you and your bump appear on FB photos, as 4ever says you never gave up your dream for another DC and I bet this Christmas will be one of the best ever knowing what's just round the corner. I am SO made up for you xx

mrskate. Huge congrats and yay to feeling rubbish as it's all good signs. Keeping my fingers crossed for you xx

sabs honey I hear you sister, B almost brought me to my knees with his sleeping and up four times a night breast feeding when he was five months old!! There are lots of techniques to try (rapid return etc) and we did that with DS1 but B is now 4 and in with me most nights. I just don't have the energy or will to go through the tears and love being able to snuggle and hold his podgy wee hand. We get back to sleep in second which helps. Z is utterly scrumptious though xx

4ever love reading about your days with S and T. He sounds an amazingly chilled wee bear and your posts always brim with joy and love. Wishing you the best Christmas ever with your completed family and no bfps to worry about for once. Cheers honey xx

neeko your card is en route, hope you enjoyed your wedding, I'm sure you have the best Christmas Day planned for your DDs. Enjoy every minute xx

rumours you too honey, have a lovely Christmas with your boys xx

LBM you always inspire me, you are one of thee most positive people I know and definitely "glass half full". It's so the way to live Xmas Smile. Have a lovely Christmas and sure your DS may just sneak in a cuddle Xmas Grin

mls if you're lurking, put down the crochet hook and enjoy tomorrow xx

Waves and Christmas love to everyone else and finally mrsmoon motherhood is the hardest job ever, and your doing grand, cherish that little bundle and enjoy your first Christmas as a family, you waited so very long xx

Wishing you all the very best my lovely ladies xx Xmas Smile
