Neeko · 16/11/2013 10:24

Ooh. I love that idea x

CloudOfStarlings · 16/11/2013 15:34

Aw Neeko we did the marshmallow snowmen last year, they were an absolute hit - with ds1 and with everyone we gave them to..which is why I want to do something as good this year! I'll try adding a pic to my profile of ours... I just love the look of things in cellophane bags :)

CloudOfStarlings · 16/11/2013 16:05

Added pics :) gonna look up the shopping bag thing now!

They look fantastic Cloud. What did you use for the hats?

Totally random comment now. I just found out last week that a cloud of starlings is called a murmuration. Did you know that? Grin

CloudOfStarlings · 17/11/2013 23:17

The hats are half an Oreo with a rolo on top! Worked well..it did end up being quite costly to buy all the sweets & the cake pop kit (on eBay) but it was worth it, such a lovely craft!
No I didn't know that about Starlings Grin name change? Grin

OP posts:
Neeko · 18/11/2013 07:31

No! Cloud is a much better name.
Thanks for the info. We are definitely making them this year. I thought about one in a bag with some white chocolate bounty balls as snowballs. I LOVE Christmas craft.

Very quiet on here. Hope everyone is ok?

moonmrs · 19/11/2013 17:03

I'm here! Lurking mainly though. Nice to see iggy popping back to see us, I think of the absentees often.
Not much to day really, J has his injections tomorrow. I've uploaded a new photo of him from last week.

moonmrs · 19/11/2013 17:03

Day = say bloody phone...

Shroomboom · 19/11/2013 20:17

J is gorgeous moon Grin Hope the jabs go well - ds wasn't bothered really when he had his but I cried for about 20 mins after Blush

Iggy lovely to see you back, hope all is good with you?!

Am just popping on quickly to update, and then am off to bed as can barely keep my eyes open! Had scan today at 30+3 and all fine. Baby a bit bigger than average, already weighs 1.7kg apparently, not sure what that is in lb's though...
So sorry I am being rubbish again at posting, my brain seems incapable of retaining any info so I read through posts and then can't remember anything Blush I am officially cr*p!

Anyway love to you all, and I hope you're all well. I finish for mat leave on 13th Dec so will try to get my brain working more then!

moonmrs · 20/11/2013 11:54

shroom I'm getting excited for you now! It's really happening!

Jabs were cancelled, poorly doctor so have them next week now. Bit worried as.they're supposed to be at 8 weeks and he's 9 today, is this ok?

Neeko · 20/11/2013 17:19

Yes moon so long as they leave four weeks between them.

Shroom fantastic news about the baby and impending mat leave. That's DH's 40th so we'll be celebrating too.

I have a poorly wee soul with an ear infection today HmmHmm.

CloudOfStarlings · 20/11/2013 18:21

neeko white chocolate bounty balls?? How have I not heard of these! Sound delicious, and all sorts of potential for Xmas craft! Are you doing any grown-ups handmade gifts? I know there's prob a thread on here I should get on! I did the Xmas pudding flavoured vodka from that last year. Was thinking of biscotti or truffles this yr but don't think they'll keep very well..
Hope your baby gets well soon!

shroom 30 weeks! Wooooow. And reading about your impending mat leave just gave me goosebumps, so excited for you!!

moon my ds1 had his pre-school jabs last wk & he didn't make a sound but I still welled up as I have at all of them!! Haha! Sure J will be just fine but it's no fun for us mummies. Hope you're still getting a bit of sleep? Is he feeding a bit more regularly/for less time now?

OP posts:
CloudOfStarlings · 20/11/2013 20:15

moon hope you don't think I'm stalking you but just saw your other thread on feeding - what you said about him screaming in the car is exactly like my ds2 - he always screamed his head off in the car and in the buggy and wouldn't go to sleep in them (whereas ds1 used to drop off immediately in buggy or car), and I figured out it was because he loved to sleep on his tummy... I used to put him on his tummy in the buggy (when he was in a lie flat one) ...but even now he's not great at sleeping in the car - we always travel at night & ds1 sleeps right through but ds2 wakes regularly & cries...

All this to say that the sling worked much better with ds2 - it always quietened him down and sent him to sleep because he was close to me all snuggled up. I notice you said you've only really used yours in the house- try going on a brisk walk with it; both mine used to settle with that strong movement. Really hope it improves for you soon must be a worry with work looming :( but once ds knows he is with his daddy all day they'll find a new routine & he'll be just fine :) babies adapt so quickly.

OP posts:
moonmrs · 21/11/2013 21:18

cloud of course I dont mind, just didnt want to take up our thread with it. J seems to change what he likes, he used to love the car and pram and fall straight to sleep but now he hates both. Will definitely try the sling outside. He's been very grumpy today and cried a lot, sometimes nothing seems to work. But on the plus sidehe generally sleeps well at night so it's not so bad.

I know things will all work out ok but I worry I'm not doing enough or I'm missing something really obvious.

Neeko · 22/11/2013 18:00

moon it probably doesn't help but I think we all have that worry most of the time. Hope he's less grumpy now.

Rumours · 24/11/2013 12:49

hello lovelies just popping in to say hi Smile Smile
Usual busy rl going on. Christmas shopping almost finnished Grin Grin

shroom Shock couldn't believe it when I read how far along you are, so so happu for you Smile

4everhopeful · 25/11/2013 00:35

Hello there Rumours! Keep meaning to delurk & post! Blush Yay practically done crimbo shopping too, just to tackle the humongous pile of wrapping now! How's u & the boys?

Shroom i also let out a woop to read your so far along and your dream is so near reality! Me and you most definitely show that sheer determination to never give up pays off eh?! Grin So happy for you! Yay to mat leave impending! When's your actual edd? Any more news on your placenta previa?

Moon how's things going for you? Our lovely ladies are always full of great advice! Has your lovely boy had his jabs yet? Teddy was 14/15wks instead of 12 cos of a cold & cough but its fine! Gorgeous pics btw!

Cloud bless, I think Summer & J must of had their pre school jabs around the same days! Summer was brave too but shed a few tears after the 2nd jab, we told her it was special medicine in her arm & she loves the drs (stethoscopes & bp machine) from all my ante natal hospital visits(!) So were worried she'd end up traumatised & end up hating them! Of course she wasn't and doesn't! Grin

Neeko I'm loving reading about all your Christmas craft stuff! So inspiring, just don't seem to have enough hrs in the day though! Cloud Your marshmallow snowmen were soooooo cool!

Its very quiet on here ain't it?! Grin We must keep it going!

All good here, Teddy is thriving, just going in to 6-9m clothes at 4&1/2m! Shock Must be all the gold top! Wink Contemplating a bit of baby rice soon, he's such a long un! Am v lucky, he's super mellow & a happy little chap, Summer is great, adapting nicely to school & its benefiting us all with her accepting do's & donts much more! She has her first school outing tomorrow, to our local train station! Am a bit nervous! Confused

Anyway, must get to sleep! Had terribly painful blocked duct/borderline mastitis fri/sat & lovely Dh made sure I rested & slept loads, thankfully its improved massively, but I think I got my weekly quota of rest in 2 days so am now laying here awake!

Rumours · 25/11/2013 08:18
